Does Chella Reuse Parts?

I have wondered for the longest time every time a BCA or Retro comes out from Chella. Do they literally reuse old JAKKS Pacific BCA parts? Ultimo Dragon literally looks just like Ken Shamrock with a different head and Sonni Ono looks exactly like Jackal. If they do this are they allowed to? Just wondering

It wouldn't be surprising at all if all their molds are based off of other companies. Didn't they have to retool Dynamite Kid a bit because the original version looked like a carbon copy of an elite?

This is more an FC project than it is Chella so I can answer this hehe. The Ultimo Dragon body isn't made from a Ken Shamrock, but it was the inspiration. Same with Sonny Onoo. Our factory doesn't have figures to work from, only our 2d and 3d art. We started everything from scratch, all art from the line was hand drawn by artist Matty Breeeze on instagram, who was also a big fan of BCA growing up, and we took the rest from there!

That was pure rumor. Bunch of know it alls on here somehow thought that they were breaking the law by making figures that fit in perfectly with existing lines. I’m sure all of their sculpts are original (even if they are indistinguishable from existing sculpts) and that’s what keeps them out of trouble legally.
