Today 3 figures I touched for the first time in 10+ years had their left arm fall right off. I imagine there are more waiting for dismemberment. Stored safely, no reasonable explanation other then plastic that didn’t age well.
This is more of a PSA then anything. Good luck!

With ones? My BCA's and TTL's are still in good condition.
In the past I always had RA's break quite easily. Always found them to be poorer quality compared to their predecessors.

It’s certainly a problem with some RA style Jakks figs. I’ve had the same thing happen to me over the years. The shoulders seem to become frail over time.

It's really common with the ra and classic superstar figures especially with the latter versions that was released the last few years before the line ended

Over the past year I've bought quite a lot of loose figures, but only 2 I've had this happen to. It seems to be the left arm and it's just been a case of the joint being too tight and snapping the plastic inside of the shoulder joint. It seems to be a later series issue as well, it was an RA 41 Goldust and Classic Series 27 Warlord, so they were very late on.

My ECW Series 1 Sandman's right arm is barely hanging on. It actually fell off at one point, but I guess there was enough plastic left to slide it back into place.

Extremely loose arms were definitely a problem with Jakks figures especially in later years, some of mine you couldn’t even get the arms to stay in place

I love Jakks and I love collecting their figures. However I will say that their arm construction are terrible. I only had like three break on me, but I have a lot with the loose arm problem and it sucks! I don't know how they designed the arm joint to be rectangular and move around 360 with out any issues. Plus the plastic that hold things together are thin and can break easily. Poor execution on Jakks which why I believe their arms are so fragile.

That was one of the major issues with Jakks. Their arms usually came loose straight out the package. Over the years, I've experienced the same. Most even, if not used became loose. The elbow/kneepads started to become tacky. I'm assuming it's just some kind of chemical release from the rubber used??? I got me thinking about collecting in the long run.

I just had a similar experience.
My series 1 Bret hart leg popped right out. Luckily I can just pop it back in, but it’s kind of annoying since I want to use him for figure photography.
I’d love to blame it on the age of these figures, but it use to happen back then, too, when they were new!
Anywho, gotta’ love those BCAs

That happened pretty frequently in 1996 when the first series came out, especially the Razor and Diesel's I bought. I'd be off to the toy store and get a new one only for it to happen again.

This has happened rarely for me, but not never.
- Back in 2007, i got the RA29 HBK, within a few days, his right arm came straight out... Shoulder and all. Thankfully dad was able to fix it, and even so the articulation still worked.
- In 2010, i finally got the Cyber Sunday Jeff Hardy (face painted one), and straight out of the box, the left arm was barely hanging on. It had what i call the 'Helicopter Arm'... A small flick would send the arm spinning. I've still got it now on my desk, in the exact condition it came out of the box in, since i never ended up playing with it.
- Couple years ago in 2020, i did a photo for Instagram, and got my DX Triple H & HBK out for it. While finding a pose for Triple H, his left arm literally just fell out... Not cracks, snaps or even force from my part, just one movement and it just dropped out.
Thankfully the rest of my Jakks figures have remained intact (at least the ones i've touched recently), so hopefully time doesn't take a toll on them and their arms break & fall out.

My first batch of Jakks took ten seconds.

Basically the issue that plagued ECW Series 1 CM Punk, where the weak plastic broke that was housing the shoulder joint, is now happening with a lot of their figures because it was the same engineering, except the plastic over time is degrading and losing its strength.
So this will become more common as time goes on as the plastic slowly breaks down.
It's their very poor design work and use of cheaper more brittle plastic in later years that is causing this.

I know a lot of RA figures get really loose. My one Snitsky figure sometimes doesn't stand up too well. His ECW one is good though

This was a problem later on with the jack figures they switched out the arm pegs and put little spacers in that were far too large and it would break the plastic which would cause arms to fall off It was a major problem with the later Jakks figures
I go over it in this video...

Yeah this is a theme with RAs. It's why I am turned off buying loose ones
