I'm not gonna feed the narratives of this being a move of desperation from Didney. If RDJ is feeling up for the move, so be it.
Not very in tune to the comics side but am aware of the particular Stark-Doom story, and I do think having a Doom bridge his consciousness into 616 via a Tony Stark variant is a suitable move, ensuring a big bad is lurking after the events of Secret Wars and the looming convergence of our MCU. The mind swap thing occurs and Doom carries out his business in the Avengers duology embodying Stark until the climax where Victor triggers another swap, possessing the vessel that we will see going forward in Phase Six.
However, I should be hanging my head in shame since SDCC clips thoroughly shattered my recent ramblings here about Ross and the Bolts.

Saw Deadpool and Wolverine today, and I loved it. IMO Deadpool is now in the company of great trilogies like Captain America and Guardians. Love the cameos.

Lots of folk going nuts about RDJ/Doom but I'll be giving it a chance.
Delighted for D&W success. It's literally sickening the haters...love it

Deadpool & Wolverine was amazing. It's not a perfect film that should win Oscars, but for me it was absolutely outstanding and immediately one of my favorite superhero movies.

Fun film…. But, I don’t think it has much substance. Like bubblegum at the bottom of an ice cream cone, mmm tastes fab but chew it up and quickly leaves you wanting that first taste back.
It’s funny cos I think my main problem it has was done really well in the last Guardians film, the villain… and the thing this one has which that guardians film didn’t is genuine laughs. Both films also struggle with giving weight to decisions made by characters we know well like the ending gave me Flash Flashbacks.. It probably winds up being behind Guardians and NWH for me since Endgame but it’s funner than those two.
But yeahhhh, not really sure what of these phases there is left to salvage now… feels like we’ll be in hover mode until FF next year to start the ball rolling towards hopefully some good characters, stories and movies to enjoy thoroughly.

That has been the largest flaw in phases 4-5, Marvel spread themselves so far trying to establish and shore up pillars. All the new characters meant to take up the mantle of Tony's Iron Man and Steve's Cap. Adding in the additional realms of the Quantum, Celestial, Spiritual, those beyond the reach of time surrounding the TVA stories, and infinite multiverses. Trying to freshly establish the mystical, magical, and grounded streetlevel stories within the same universe of scientifically enhanced humans, social and political thrillers, aliens, and Asgardians. Folding in newly acquired properties from the Fox deal like X-Men, DP, F4 and officially recognizing the previous Netflix projects. Then all the mitigating circumstances that profoundly effected Disney's production efforts: the unexpected losses of crucial actors, multiple Hollywood shutdowns and labor bottlenecks, major creative hiccups and clashes that led to script revisions and team shakeups.

Yeahh it’s just been too much for them to manage clearly coupled with the clear drive/intention to push particular narratives over good stories & well-rounded characters to the forefront, just a disaster. Moonknight is a great example. Super 1st episode. Some great things sprinkled here or there but before that character had a chance to get his feet under him, gets pretty much sidelined & show thereafter in service to another new character… for 6 eps tv, it’s too much. I always forget Far From Home came after Endgame; by far the best movie since (albeit bit of an epilogue) but also indicative of the slide in quality because watching it, it’s like it’s from a different era. NWH is pish by comparison.

I don't know if it's the worst in the MCU, but the Monaco section of Iron Man 2 irritates me to no end. The writers just threw away every safety protocol of auto racing to make a OOH AAH action scene.
Stark would've had to have certification and clearance to participate. Perhaps he could have been certified if he were hands-on with the team, but not just a revenue source. And he would need prior consent from the governing body.
The incoming onslaught of traffic would have been stopped immediately, unless Vanko had disabled all in-car radio communication that would've otherwise warned the drivers of tentacled safety personnel and passenger vehicles on the track. And why wasn't the crowd running for their lives during Tony and Ivan's fisticuffs? They just had Formula cars tumbling at them if not for there being a catchfence, now they are all stuck in spectator mode cheering on Iron Man without a care in the world.

Sounds like Blade or Armor Wars are gonna get shelved. I think Blade is going to & I feel its because of Ryan Cooglers Jordan led Vampire actioner over at WB. Its had writing issues but I feel this is the major sticking point for them. Bring back Snipes as the leader of the Midnight Sons & be done with it.
