I recently went back home to 🇵🇭to visit my family after 4 years. Most of my old collections (CS & RA) were still there in our house. Unfortunately, most of my MOCs were stored in a nok temp controlled room cabinet or “cupboard under the stairs storage”. Which had caused the coats of figures (heyman, taker & j styles) to get sticky. But the worse was the belts sets (hardcore w/ edge & foley, spinner w/ cena & rvd) which was stored under that stairs, caused the box to mold & affected the figures (thankfully spared the belts). After washing & soaking w/ diluted germicidal hand soap, the marks on some area turns lighter again (not stained but like moldish pattern). As I got back here in the 🇺🇸, I soaked it with castile soap then brushed the spots. As I dry it, some light spot remains.
Any suggestion w/ the sticky coat & those light spots?
Also, Stevie Richards bWO shirt also melted & stained Joey’s coat.

A good thing to try is hand sanitiser rather than soap on some of the hard to rub off marks. I've had that recommended to me a few times with some figures I've received that needed a wash.
For the stickiness on the jackets, that seems to be normal for Jakks figures. I've opened a couple recently that came with Jackets (Triple H Classic Series 24 being one) and I've gotten extremely lucky that they've been ok. I think it must be a heat thing that melts the rubber and causes it to get that way. I've no idea how to remedy that one unfortunately.

I was able to remove the stain from the other figures paint deco by using the hand sanitizer/alcohol wipes. So far, since Heyman & Joey’s coats are getting better after throughrough cleaning & soaking w/ Dove hard soap. Those figures from damaged/molded boxes are still work in progress, stains are gone but need to soak it more to totally remove the light smell. Im thinking of diluted clorox for colored laundry detergent & fabric softener will get rid of it.🤷🏻♂️

I gave my rubber jackets a fig bath, let them soak for bit in soapy water before giving them a good scrub. dried them off and just let them sit for a while. theyre still pretty smooth
