The more I try to talk to other people in this hobby, the more I realize I’m basically a crazy person who can’t get over that I can’t book a real territory. I study interviews of old bookers and dissect cards to understand how good lineups work, how to coordinate house show loops, and even when no one is watching but me, I’m super protective of finishes and holds.
And I just needed to ask, does anyone else try to book their feds as though it were plausible and physically real? Because it’s lonely trying to book card that wrestlers and bookers could appreciate, and I struggle to relate to other people who enjoy figures as much as I do.

Nah your not a crazy person mate! I'm the same as you, lately I've been so fixated on creating my own NJPW inspired pic fed. So much that I've planned, and written events, shows and general pieces of lore! Over and over again! The amount of times, that I've created a backstory only to scrap it a few days later! Hahaha.
It's easy for me to say, but it's best not to overthink and let things get to you. If you need any tips, or help with your ideas, feel free to send me a PM! I've got quite of bit of experience in pic fedding. What's your fed?

I trained as a grappler from 12 to 18 and got to train how to work for a few years before I hurt my neck and developed nerve damage. I’m 28. Basically, all I wanted was to have good matches and be a modern Nick Bockwinkel or a Billy Robinson and when I knew that wasn’t gonna happen, I had to do something else with my life, but the desire never left so I obsessively study wrestling and grappling and try to book the most plausible and well though out matches and angles and run house show loops for my territories. Who is on your roster? What is your fed like? |
