The RAW after WrestleMania 18 - After WrestleMania 18, Vince McMahon has gotten his power back, but not before announcing that he would not fire anyone from WCW. Instead, he would book a roster to shake the WWE up. A roster from RAW and A roster from SMACKDOWN with Eric Bischoff becoming the General Manager of RAW and Stephanie McMahon becoming the general manager of SMACKDOWN. Eric Bischoff decides to draft Owen Hart to the RAW Brand while Edge is drafted to the SMACKDOWN Brand. But Owen wants one more match with Edge at Backlash for the WWE United States Championship and he wants to try to take the United States Title to RAW at Backlash.
Backlash 2002 - In the first ever interpromotional RAW vs SMACKDOWN Match. It's Owen Hart vs Edge for the WWE United States Championship. Edge and Owen put on a good 20-30 minute battle, but similar to WrestleMania 18. Edge will beat Owen and retain the United States Championship. Owen goes to RAW while Edge stays on SMACKDOWN
After Backlash - But it's not all bad for Owen as the next night he defeats Rob Van Dam & Eddie Guerrero in a Triple Threat Match by pinning Eddie for the Intercontinental Championship and ending Eddie's one day reign as Intercontinental Champion. Owen has not held the Intercontinental Title since 1999. Owen starts to become more of a tweener handing out Intercontinental Championship Matches to faces and heels and not cheating to win at all.
Insurrextion 2002 - Owen Hart defends the Intercontinental Title against Eddie Guerrero to kick off the show. Owen gets a big pop from the England Fans and with the luck of the London Fans on his side. Owen retains the Intercontinental Title over Latino Heat jump starting a feud between these two once again.
After Insurrextion - Owen officially turns face after saving Spike Dudley from an attack by Eddie Guerrero. Eddie is upset that he challenges Owen for the Intercontinental Title at Judgment Day with Owen accepting.
Judgment Day 2002 - Owen Hart and Eddie Guerrero will have another good match for the Intercontinental Title, but Eddie will use the lying, cheating and stealing tactics to regain the Intercontinental Title.
After Judgment Day - After failing to retain the Intercontinental Title and losing the belt. Owen moves up to the mid-card status, but instead he will advance to the 2002 King of The Ring Tournament defeating William Regal. Owen will be one of the 4 RAW Representatives, the 4 RAW Representatives are Owen Hart, Booker T, Brock Lesnar and Rob Van Dam while the 4 SMACKDOWN Representatives are Chris Jericho, Test, Hardcore Holly and Tajiri.
King of The Ring 2002 - Owen will face Hardcore Holly in the quarterfinals with Owen advancing to the semifinals. Owen's next challenger will be Chris Jericho in the semifinals. Owen and Jericho in a resemblance to their 1999 feud have a good 15-20 minute quarterfinal battle. Jericho defeats Booker T. But cannot overcome the Rocket as Owen Hart advances to the finals to face the next big thing Brock Lesnar. Owen tries his hardest to take down the big rookie, but Lesnar is too overpowerful and the Next Big Thing is the 2002 King of The Ring.
After King of The Ring/Summer & Fall 2002 - Owen stays up to the mid-card status, but on July 8, 2002. He will regain the European Title for the last time over William Regal because the European Title will be retired soon. Owen does not have a match at Vengeance, but the next night, Eric Bischoff books a Intercontinental/European Title Match between Owen Hart and Rob Van Dam, a ladder match. Van Dam will win the match officially retiring the Eurocontinental itle, after Owen and Van Dam shake hands. Owen will once again turn heel and join Test, Christian and Lance Storm in the Un-Americans. Owen however doesn't have a match at Summerslam. The Un-Americans have a war with the Americans saying how the world hates America. The Un-Americans will feud with Kane, Booker T, Goldust and Bradshaw at Unforgiven.
Unforgiven 2002 - The Un-Americans fail to win the 8-Man Tag Team Match against the All Americans as Owen gets pinned by Kane thanks to a chokeslam.
After Unforgiven 2002 - The next night The Un-Americans disband, but Owen Hart will still feud with Booker T. This would be a good feud on the RAW side between Booker T. The two square off for the first time on September 30, 2002 with Booker T getting the victory, but after the match. Owen attacks him, and then the next week. Owen will attack him again. The match between Owen and Booker is set for No Mercy to settle the score.
No Mercy 2002 - Owen and Booker have a good 15-20 minute match but Owen scores a huge win over the 5-time World Heavyweight Champion with no cheating and no outside interference. Although you know Owen is a heel, he just doesn't need any help to win.
After No Mercy - Owen and Booker have a match on October 28, 2002 to determine who will be the sixth participant in the Elimination Chamber Match. Booker goes over to defeat Owen and of course that makes Eric Bischoff upset and he begins to badger and belittle Owen because of Owen Hart talking to Eric Bischoff about what he did in Canada two weeks ago when they attacked Pat Patterson. Owen gets sickened in by Jamal and Rosey until he is saved by Jeff Hardy and D-Lo Brown who were also victims of being beaten down by Jamal, Rosey and Rico setting up a match at the 2002 Survivor Series in a 6-Man Tag Team Elimination Match where stipulations stated that if Owen lost the match, Owen would be fired.
Survivor Series 2002 - Owen, Hardy and D'Lo fight Jamal, Rosey and Rico in the traditional 6-Man Tag Team Elimination Survivor Series Match, D-Lo and Jeff are quickly eliminated by Jamal and Rosey but Owen is able to eliminate Rico, and tries to beat Jamal and Rosey, but the odds are just too much for Owen and Jamal and Rosey just pounce on Owen like he was a piece of RAW Meat. Jamal and Rosey are the sole survivors of the match. And Owen is fired. Or is he?.
After Survivor Series - Owen Hart makes his final appearance on Monday Night RAW and just when Eric Bischoff is about to have security escort Owen out of the building. SMACKDOWN's Stephanie McMahon shows up and announces that after Survivor Series was over. Owen Hart signed a deal with the SMACKDOWN Brand. Stephanie leaves while Bischoff tries talking it out with Owen but Owen punches Bischoff in the face and locks in the sharpshooter on the RAW General Manager. Bischoff taps out. Bischoff's henchmen enter the ring to get their hands on Owen but Owen escapes the ring and through the crowd telling Bischoff bye bye. Owen will appear on the SMACKDOWN Brand as a babyface and makes himself at home. Owen wants to have a feud on the SMACKDOWN Brand with somebody on that brand, Chris Benoit. Owen and Benoit have a confrontation promo with Benoit and Owen both mentioning their times in Stu Hart's Dungeon and also in Stampede Wrestling. Benoit and Owen both agree to face off at Armageddon in a friendly battle.
Armageddon 2002 - So this is the first ever encounter between Benoit and Owen. And Stephanie McMahon raises the stakes by announcing that the winner of the match would face the WWE Champion at the 2003 Royal Rumble. Both men are determined to become the winner. It is a good 20-25 minute match, the crowd is into it. Owen and Benoit are having one of the best matches of all time. Benoit tries to hit Owen with the Crippler Crossface but Owen reverses it and is able to defeat Benoit by using a victory roll reversing the Crossface. The same night, Show retains the WWE Title over Kurt Angle at Armageddon, so it will be Owen Hart and Big Show at the 2003 Royal Rumble for the WWE Championship.
After Armageddon - After defeating Benoit. Owen is getting another shot at the WWE Championship but in order to become champion, he has to get through a 7-foot giant to take the WWE Championship at the 2003 Royal Rumble. Just weeks and days before the Rumble. Show taunts Owen about his size but Owen tells Show that when it comes to Big Show & his size. The Big Man always falls with Owen saying that he's been in the business 14 years and that he's beaten big men like him. And he's never faced The Big Show before, but he wants to take the title so he could make it relevant again. He has won almost every single championship in the business. And he would be disappointed if he didn't take the WWE Championship again. Show attacks Owen just 10 days before the Royal Rumble after Owen Hart's match with A-Train. But on the SMACKDOWN before the Rumble. Owen finally makes the WWE Champion tap out to the sharpshooter in a tag team match with Owen Hart teaming up with Rey Mysterio against Big Show & A-Train.
2003 Royal Rumble - Owen and Big Show face off for the title and with the wave of momentum Owen has had and with him making Big Show tap out, everyone wonders that if Owen would finally overcome The Giant and become the WWE Champion for the second time. Owen comes as close by taking down the legs of The Giant and stealing some pages out of Bret's book by using the figure-four leg lock ringpost on the outside and almost using the Sharpshooter but Show is just too dominant and Owen fails to win back the WWE Championship for the second time. Show is too overpowerful and he retains the title over The Rocket.
After the 2003 Royal Rumble - After Owen doesn't win the WWE Championship. He wants to go for something else, and this is something I would've loved to see in real-life. Him becoming a Cruiserweight Champion. Owen Hart does not have a match at No Way Out, he does make an appearance at the No Way Out Preshow match by defeating Jamie Noble. And after Matt Hardy wins the Cruiserweight Title at No Way Out over Billy Kidman. Owen ruins Matt Hardy's celebration ceremony on the No Way Out after SMACKDOWN and wants a shot at the Cruiserweight Championship. Matt says that although Owen was in his prime back in the day by defeating his brother Bret Hart at WrestleMania 10 and winning the Tag Team Titles with an oversized fat giant with Yokozuna at WrestleMania 11. And also going one on one with The Undertaker at WrestleMania 17. Owen has become something that he is now, a WrestleMania Failure!. Owen gets upset by attacking Matt Hardy and Shannon Moore. Owen also helps out Brian Kendrick get his job by defeating Shannon Moore just weeks before WrestleMania. Owen will face Matt Hardy for the Cruiserweight Championship at WrestleMania 19
WrestleMania 19 - Owen and Matt are the opening match to kick off WrestleMania 19 for the Cruiserweight Championship, it's a good back and forth match to kick off between the two. Shannon Moore gets ejected in the match to try to help Matt cheat. And although Matt tries his best to cheat, it comes back to bite him in the end as Owen makes Matt submit to the sharpshooter and become the Cruiserweight Champion for the first time.
After WrestleMania - The Cruiserweight Division has shined now with Owen at the top of the Cruiserweight Championship on the SMACKDOWN Brand. But every Cruiserweight including Matt Hardy knows that Owen Hart is a marked man in the Cruiserweight Championship. So Stephanie McMahon will make a 6-pack challenge at Backlash 2003 with Owen defending the Cruiserweight Championship against Matt Hardy, Jamie Noble, Billy Kidman, Tajiri and Nunzio. Owen a fighting champion will accept that match.
Backlash 2003 - The Cruiserweight Title Match is good similar to WrestleMania 19, but not as good, they give the Cruiserweights 10 minutes. But in the end it's Owen that retains the Cruiserweight Title by making Tajiri tap out to the sharpshooter.
After Backlash - Owen Hart sees who will be the number one contender for the Cruiserweight Championship, as Rey Mysterio, Matt Hardy, Tajiri and Jamie Noble face off in a fatal four way match to determine who will face him at Judgment Day and surprisingly enough it's Mysterio that wins the match, so we get Mysterio vs Owen for the first time at Judgment Day.
Judgment Day 2003 - Owen and Rey put on a good match, it is a good 15-20 match. But with the referee knocked out. Owen uses a low blow to cheat to win and hit the sharpshooter turning Owen once again back into a heel and thus retaining the Cruiserweight Title against Rey.
After Judgment Day - Owen will still continue to feud with Rey. Owen turns his back on the fans saying that the fans love Rey more than Owen. So Owen will let Rey challenge for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship once again at the 2003 King of The Ring, yes i'm keeping the 2003 King of The Ring. Rey accepts, but with Owen raising the stipulations thanks to Vince McMahon that if Rey can't beat Owen for the title, then Rey never challenges for the Cruiserweight Title as long as Owen is the Cruiserweight Champion.
2003 King of The Ring - Rey & Owen put on an epic cruiserweight battle, it's a 20-25 minute match. Hard hitting fight, Owen attempts to get the win by hitting the sharpshooter but Rey is able to fight out of it. Rey hits the 619 and attempts the West Coast Pop but Owen catches him in mid air by using the sharpshooter but Rey reverses it into a backslide and wins the Cruiserweight Title over Owen.
After King of The Ring - After the match. Owen gets his rematch after King of The Ring, but fails to win back the title. Owen will eventually advance to the United States Title Fatal Four Way Match by defeating Rikishi, so the four men that will compete for the vacated United States Title that was held by Edge until an injury forced Edge to relinquish the United States Title. So The Fatal Four Way Match is Owen Hart, Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit and Rhyno.
Vengeance 2003 - Owen, Eddie, Benoit and Rhyno battling it out for the United States Championship, Owen however does not win the match, as it's Eddie who lies, cheats and steals to win the United States Title setting up another feud between Owen & Eddie.
After Vengeance 2003 - Owen & Eddie will feud once again for another championship, the United States Championship, the two have feuded in the Attitude Era for the European Championship and for the Intercontinental Championship in 2002, but now they will face off for the United States Title again. Their encounter will be at the 2003 Summerslam. Owen uses mind games by setting up a series of attacks on Eddie and also tombstones Eddie untop of his lowrider truck. Many people think that Eddie wouldn't be cleared to compete at Summerslam.
Summerslam 2003 - But Eddie is cleared to compete and he and Owen put on a good Summerslam Match for the United States Title. Owen almost attempts to take the United States Title for the second time, but Eddie fights back and beats Owen cleanly by hitting the Frog Splash.
After Summerslam - After, Owen attacks Eddie in his hometown by beating him up and hitting him with the United States Championship Belt and busting him open as well. And then the next week steals Eddie's tire that Eddie wants a parking lot brawl match with Owen Hart. Owen accepts. Owen and Eddie's parking lot brawl is the main event, Eddie uses help from Chavo Guerrero who returns from injury by hitting Owen with a pipe and Eddie retains the title again. Eddie and Owen are still feuding again. But Owen adds a stipulation to their one last match at No Mercy if Owen does not beat Eddie. Then Owen will leave the WWE for good. Eddie accepts. On the go home show of No Mercy. Owen attacks Eddie's lowrider by vandalizing it after Eddie defeats Rhyno in a non-title match and Eddie watches Owen destroy his lowrider.
No Mercy 2003 - Eddie and Owen once again put on one hell of a great United States Championship encounter. Owen almost loses the match and it looks like Eddie is about to send Owen packing with a frog splash but Owen rolls out of the way and locks Eddie's legs for the sharpshooter and Eddie tries fighting out of it but he taps out and Owen is once again the United States Champion.
After No Mercy 2003 - Owen saves his career again by becoming the United States Champion for the second straight time. Owen Hart will be in Brock Lesnar's big team group. Owen is teamed up with Brock Lesnar, Big Show, A-Train and Rhyno against the team of John Cena, Hardcore Holly, Kurt Angle, Chris Benoit and Rey Mysterio. There is a tease of a big feud between Owen and Cena real soon. Some of Team Lesnar have a little bit of dissention with Owen staring down Lesnar's WWE Championship. But by Survivor Series, they are able to work together.
Survivor Series 2003 - At the 2003 Survivor Series. Owen Hart does a phenomenally good job as a part of Team Lesnar, he and John Cena have an altercation finally. But It's Cena that gets the win by hitting Owen with the FU eliminating The Rocket and setting up a feud between Owen and Cena.
After Survivor Series 2003 - Owen Hart and John Cena will begin their feud with one another as they call each other out in rap battles and etc. They feud at Tribute to The Troops in a Non-Title Match with Cena getting the win, but that win by Cena makes sure that the feud between Cena & Owen is not over. Owen attempts to put Cena out of action before the 2004 Royal Rumble by injuring his leg, but Cena will recover for the 2004 Royal Rumble in time.
2004 Royal Rumble - Owen Hart enters at the Royal Rumble at #16 and lasts 28 minutes in the match and makes it to the Final Six until he is eliminated by John Cena. Owen distracts Cena long enough for the Big Show to eliminate him in that match.
After the 2004 Royal Rumble - Owen and Cena will also be a part of the SMACKDOWN Royal Rumble with Chris Benoit going over to RAW. Owen gets his revenge by eliminating Cena after targeting Cena's legs but it's deja vu all again with Cena having the tables turned over Owen. Cena, Owen and Kurt Angle stake their claim by each proving that they wanna be #1 Contender to the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 20. But Big Show also wants a part of it and so does Hardcore Holly cause he has unfinished business with Brock Lesnar, and Rhyno well. He says he also wants a shot at the WWE Championship because he's proven to be a destructive force on SMACKDOWN. So Heyman makes a 6-Man Elimination Chamber Match between Rhyno, Kurt Angle, Big Show, Owen Hart, Hardcore Holly and John Cena.
2004 No Way Out - Owen and Cena face off #1 and #2 in the Elimination Chamber. Owen and Cena hang in there until Owen eliminates Cena and then it's Owen and Angle as the last two. Owen tries to make Angle submit to the sharpshooter but Angle rolls through and uses the anklelock by taking down Owen and making Owen submit, giving Angle the win and the chance to go to WrestleMania XX.
After 2004 No Way Out - Owen and Cena's feud still continues with Cena demanding to face Owen for the United States Championship at WrestleMania 20 but Owen says no. Cena then destroys Owen so bad until Owen says yes. On the go-home show edition of SMACKDOWN before WrestleMania. Owen attacks Cena and ties him in the ropes and punches him in the gut by using Cena's steel chain and then raises his title and then tells Cena it's close as he'll get to this championship.
WrestleMania XX - Owen & Cena will not be the first match, infact it will be the middle part of the show, sixth or seventh. It's John Cena's time and Owen tells Vince that he likes working with Cena and that he wants to put Cena over. Vince agrees and Owen & Cena put on a great 20-25 minute battle. Cena doesn't use the chain to win the United States Title. Owen tries using the sharpshooter on Cena but Cena hangs on to the ropes and fights back by hitting 2 FU's on Owen. Owen kicks out of one of those but Cena reverses a tombstone attempt to hit the FU and go over on Owen to win his first United States Championship.
This is the first part of Owen Hart's Ruthless Aggression Era, we'll move to the Second Part of Owen Hart's Ruthless Aggression Era to see how Owen still does on SMACKDOWN and see if a WWE Championship Run is in the future for the Rocket!.
