Billy Bhatti is among the worst in the wrestling media. He got ripped apart in the WO thread about him. Guy makes stuff up plain and simple

I think this is BS. From everywhere I’ve been in multiple states the AEW line is out selling WWE elites like crazy.

Between walmart/target & gamestop there are a total of 9,654 locations in the US. If there are only 30k of the main figured that would mean that each location would only get 3 figures each and 1.5 of the lower made figures. Yeah those numbers don't make sence especially when you factor in over seas ....

Yeah those numbers don't make sence especially when you factor in over seas .... Seeing as my local walmart put out 7 full cases of series 1 about a week ago it basically debunks the 30k theory. I would guesstimate by what I have seen from my walmarts and targets in my state over the past year that they make around 100k figures min. Again just my opinion based on my observations.

I think this is BS. From everywhere I’ve been in multiple states the AEW line is out selling WWE elites like crazy. I wouldn't assume that from anecdotal evidence. I'd imagine there's a pretty significant gap in production numbers between an AEW wave and a WWE Elite wave.

Why does everything end up AEW vs WWE??? Can there be even 1 post on the entire internet that doesn't turn into AEW vs WWE? 🤦♂️

Yeah, this line isn't touching WWE's overall volume, especially when you factor in international retail. Nor should it be expected to. The line can still be profitable and successful regardless of what other lines are doing.

The line can still be profitable and successful regardless of what other lines are doing. It should also be pointed out that Mattel and Jazwares have two VERY different overheads. Mattel is the number 2 toy company in the world. What Jazwares needs to sell in order to be profitable is a fraction of what Mattel needs to sell.

I work at Walmart and they are constantly restocking AEW waves every 2 weeks or so. It's great theyre easy to find but also makes them all less valuable if theyre easily available.

It's damn ridiculous It really blows my mind. Like if I don't like something I don't watch it let alone complain about it. Lol I watch both AEW and WWE and on top of that, Impact,NXT,NWA,NJPW,warrior,GCW prolly a few others that I can't remember. All have good and bad parts, people need to stop complaining about every little thing and just have fun and be happy we have more than just only 1 option. Now I am gonna go enjoy the AEW main event, hopefully it is good. Lol

I don’t know if any of that is accurate but there is something currently wrong with the line. Unmatched 2 and 3 are the only sets to hit any of my stores the last 4 months. And In most cases it was only one case per store. We are almost to June and ringside has shipped one set of unrivaled and one of unmatched in almost 6 months. And yes I know there are major distribution issues nation wide but I have seen a new Elite line in stores every month. Also Jeremy went from tweeting about AEW figures weekly to never mentioning them

Billi Bhati (not always mega reliable) Talk about an understatement... Loved him in 'Masters of the Universe'. He was great in Willow too! I should also note that Jazwares was NOT the only company going after AEW. Super7 desperately wanted the license, and there's even an interview out there with Brian Flynn of Super7 saying just that, either SDCC 2019, or Toy Fair 2020. I did not know this. I do love Super7's Ultimates figures, but I feel like Jazwares is a better fit for growing the overall AEW brand. I don't know that Super7 would have been able to crank out new waves, get them into stores like Walmart and Target, and get them into the hands of casual fans and kids in addition to collectors. I probably would have a 100% complete collection instead of missing a bunch of chase and rare variants, but on the other hand there would be many people that did not even know AEW had a figure line.

Also Jeremy went from tweeting about AEW figures weekly to never mentioning them This is indicative of absolutely nothing. I don't know why people think that their stores are the only barometer of how a line is doing. Let alone the fact that in this very thread, someone mentioned that their store that they work at are restocked every other week with AEW stuff... ...but we glossed that part over. Also, there aren't distribution issues nationwide. There is a worldwide shipping crisis still going on. What used to take 28 days to ship is now taking upwards of 90+ days to ship from oversea to the US ports. Let alone getting into warehouses and shipped and delivered from there. And before you start with your, again, flawed logic that you see new sets of Elite in your specific area, also take into account that Mattel is MATTEL. Jazwares is NOT Mattel. Apples to airplanes is the comparison. And finally, Jeremy isn't tweeting a whole lot of anything if it isn't something trade, crypto, and financially related. He's one track mind. That means nothing.

If these AEW figures aren't selling well that would be surprising news to me. I've seen some at retail, but it's not very often. They are always sold out.
