Happy 2022 to my Wfigs brethren. For all of us in this sub, entertainment is something we enjoy, but what means more to you, music or movies/tv? Which one defines your childhood more? Given your answers, is there a specific band/show/movie that you can point to that changed everything?
For me, "No music, No life!" When I was a kid and saw Korn's Freak on A Leash, and Limp Bizkit's Faith on TRL, it was like a sonic boom to my soul. I connected then, and now, with nu-metal, more than anything. Euphoria may not be the right word, but hairs stand up on my neck when I hear those tracks. They helped make me who I am today. \m/
I hope this is an enjoyable outing for all of you. Much respect.

Pretty loaded question. It's hard to say which one means more to me...because of many reasons. They both go hand in hand in many ways...with movie soundtracks, scores, etc. Movies definitely impacted my childhood in a gnarly way. Batman 89, Terminator 1 and 2, Horror, etc. So did music at certain points.
I really believe that art inspires art. I have been playing guitar over 20 years and music is my main artistic outlet. It means everything to me...and my music has been inspired a lot by movies and wrestling more so than listening to a certain band and wanting to recreate that sound. That's also me just wanting to be as original as possible.
Very hard question for me to answer. I love Movies, Music and Wrestling all pretty equally...and I believe all 3 are a very awesome form of artistic expression.

Music. The greatest band in the world, or AC/DC for short.
Sure there were movies of my childhood that I liked but I can't think of any that had a massive impact on me compared to music though. I only had a few radio stations to choose from, which were either talkback or top 40, so my music taste was limited to the likes of Savage Garden, Ricky Martin etc (don't you judge me). I was given a copy of AC/DC's Powerage for my birthday from my uncle and it was unlike anything I had ever heard before. All of it was catchy. The guitar. The vocals. The drumming. The bass. Radio music that I liked was only memorable for the vocals because everything outside of it was forgettable. A month or so later, I specifically remember him telling me "if you thought that was something, wait till you hear this" before giving me a copy of Back In Black. Thats when I realized that there is 'other' music outside of whatever the radio played. At 36 I can crank Hell's Bells in my truck, volume turned right up to deafening, and feel like I'm 12 again.

I’ve changed the music I listen too several times. Movies/tv have been more significant to me in my lifetime. I don’t really like movies anymore though but I still like music. However, my kids are my focal point now so even when I listen or watch anything it’s with them

TV/Movies 1st then music. TV/movies meant so much to me since early on.
It wasn’t until my late teenage years that I started to enjoy music. Rap music 1st, Rock 2nd. Now I’m more of a fan of Rock.

Movies
Films made me like certain music because I associated it that specific iconic movie.

Movies/TV! I didn't even buy my first album until I was like 16. So music never really played a big part in my upbringing.
