Apologies if this has been asked elsewhere, but is there a reason this red Hogan is so heavily packed? The numbers would be excessive but I could somewhat understand if this was a classic red/yellow Hogan and they felt like this was going to be the default Hogan for anyone who collects these. But this isn’t that, so what’s the story?

Shoulda been Andre considering how massive that figure and it’s at least a 3 in 1.

Oh ok, it just seems like everywhere I see him, I see 4+ and neither of his wave mates, it looked like they shipped him in a case by himself.

I have them but I have not seen doink or andre or even Hogan at the 3 Walmarts closest to me, what is up with this distribution?

From what I heard, the person who designs the figures for this line wanted to make an AWA Hogan (since the Superstars line is a homage to the Remco line) and the PTB agreed and let him make one. This one is a little too niche IMO and will likely stick around for a while- not sure the chase was needed but I guess the designer figured since he was given the opportunity to make an AWA Hogan that he would throw in an alternate attire as well. If they wanted to do AWA attires, they should have done an AWA 3-Pack exclusive with Hogan, Scott Hall & Curt Hennig. The Mr. Perfect figure should have been a 2-in-1 like the Earthquake with painted on singlet and singlet accessory instead of this hybrid figure we got that doesn't work as an AWA Hennig as he has Mr. Perfect boots.
Personally I would have preferred that this Hogan figure was a late 80s / early 90s Hogan (Hulk Rules shirt, Python Power bandana) as that is the definitive Golden Era Hogan IMO. I don't care for the mid-80s track suit Hogan, which I get was made to go with the Mr. T figure, hopefully its not the only yellow trunks Hogan they make.

I'd also like to see a "Hulk Still Rules" era Superstars Hogan as well. I think that would look great! My other big "wish" for the Superstars line is a Sgt. Slaughter!

The Mattel store in Los Angeles has Kurt Angle,Big Boss Man, and Tatanka. Since that store is basically a distribution center for scalpers at this point, you can already find people flipping them.

It's extremely random. You never know what you will find there. But they have consistently received the Superstars line this year and they have also had the Monday Night Wars figures The Mattel store in Los Angeles has Kurt Angle,Big Boss Man, and Tatanka. I've seen another re-stock of series 8 at a few stores which has me puzzled at this point. Did they just never get series 9 out, or is it bundled with the MNW stuff that hasn't also seen the light of day yet?

At this rate without s9 being out yet, we probably won't see s10 for quite a while, if ever

Not sure how Mattel didn't see that one coming with all of their releases.

First nothing past lou albano / vader has been stocked in my area. Second I'm wondering if walmarts do get a summerslam shipper if superstars will be available in that? When does series 9 hit walmart shelves? I don't know or any one reporting any walmart in the US that has gotten series 9 yet anyone correct me if I am wrong. This line could have been promising IF they would stock shelves properly.

I was wondering, if they were to make a Yokozuna figure for this line, would they use the same body mold they used for Earthquake/Typhoon/Bossman/Vader/etc. or would they have to make a new, bigger mold?

They’d use the current fat body mold. Scale isn’t that big of a deal for this line. It’s close enough. Maybe they could use the Andre torso and trunks but shorter legs.

Great pic!
Is that the suit from the Entrance Greats DiBiase on M$M?! How were you able to get it on the Superstars figure, I have the Entrance Greats figure and tried to put it on as I don't like the green suit the Superstars figure came with but it will not fit. Any special tricks to getting this to fit as that is how I want to display my DiBiase figure.
I don't understand the attire choices for some of these Superstar figures- they should go with the most iconic attire as we will likely only see 1 figure of a lot of these guys. M$M should have come with the black suit and Mr. Perfect should have come with Blue singlet.
