Probably didn’t want the trunks to look so much like Speedos or underwear riding up his thighs. Yeah but that’s how all BCA trunks were. It only looked speedo-ish on the Ahmed body because of how thick the thighs were (which actually worked for Ahmed, but not so much for Shamrock or Austin). Can confirm that it was particularly bad with this figure. I supported the idea of painting the thigh but didn’t realize it would have come out looking like bikers.

I think the trunks look better after the change. To me, BCA bikers are Owen Hart length, which these aren’t.

FC posted a preview of the 1/200 variant Macho sticker earlier today: Duane Gill, Macho Man (x2), and James Mitchell (x3) are all expected in stock shortly.

I like them but I’m not collecting the BCAs, just too much stuff. But I liked Gilberg without the paint on the legs

I like them but I’m not collecting the BCAs, just too much stuff. But I liked Gilberg without the paint on the legs Nothing wrong with that. I would just say that for those on the fence, consider the fact that these will likely never be attempted again. If you’re a fan of the BCA style and want to fill in those gaps during your lifetime, this line is your best bet for doing so. Unless you have a good customizer on call, which still won’t be the same. Yes, you’re going to pay more for one than you would an entire series “back in the day…”, but you’re supporting a small business and contributing to something that most would have never deemed possible just a few short years ago. Despite the flaws early on, I believe this is a project worth pursuing, and that better days are ahead.

Action Figure Cellar got their shipment in earlier than expected, so collectors in the UK should expect to receive their orders any day now. Here are some pics: x.com/PlanetJDizzle88/status/1788981498294489538James said the glasses were included in the package. Hopefully, this is an isolated incident. Especially for all the MOC collectors. x.com/PlanetJDizzle88/status/1788993023822430509Figure Collections hasn’t sent out any shipping notifications yet, but I’ll update when I receive mine.

Love the short haired Jeff, that looks really good as does the Sinister Minister. I think I agree with a previous comment about the Gillberg, the BCA's were very cartoonish at times and these are meant to fit in with them so I have no problem with them going for a true to form on some of them. In my opinion there hasn't been one I've disliked yet, so I guess they're winning with me.

They all look great. I hope we can get Macho in a WWF attire from '94 at some point. As cool as the WCW looks are, I’m only collecting guys that would have fit in with the original line (or come close timeline wise within a couple of years).

Jakks wasn’t even consistent with it in their time, as the shapes and sizes of the sculpts quite literally changed from one character to the next. Some likenesses were better than others, but for the most part it was a crapshoot. FC has benefited from not having major personnel changes thus far. As long as the core stays on and is committed to the cause, this new BCW style should be consistent throughout. They all look great. I hope we can get Macho in a WWF attire from '94 at some point. As cool as the WCW looks are, I’m only collecting guys that would have fit in with the original line (or come close timeline wise within a couple of years). That would be awesome. If FC is able to work with Savage’s estate beyond these two figures, I would be game for whatever. Just to be able to have him in this form is a privilege. Threw down for both machos, gillberg, blue bomb and pink ultimo set. Pumped to receive these. Wow, that’s a sizable order! Congrats on going for it. It’s a great feeling when you finally have these in hand. I got my shipping notification from FC for both Savages and Gill. Should be able to post pics by mid week.

Got my white and black macho. BOY HOWDY it's a beauty! Possibly the best figure they have done yet.

I realized I posted in the wrong thread so will answer this post here: I genuinely love FC's BCA figures, man. What a thrill to be getting these in 2024! I have a few questions/observations, though: - It seems like the turnaround time between a figure being announced and released is very long. Will this always be the case or are there any indications that they're adapting part of their process in order to get their product out faster?
- Have they ever offered insight on who they'd love to add to the line? Also, it seems Epic Toys can produce figures of DDP and Eddy Guerrero -- is this possible for FC? Can FC do further work with AEW-contracted talent like they have with Jeff Jarrett (I'm assuming your Jeff Hardys and Chris Jerichos are unrealistic but how about someone like Arn Anderson or Tony Schiavone?)
- When should we expect news about the two Jarrett's + Mike Chioda?
3Lephant (Naptown Icon) is the one you want to reach out to for direct answers, but if it helps any: 1. The reason for the long wait times is unforeseen delays during production. It’s a learning process for all involved. There are a lot of moving parts and things can get complicated when you’re not able to be hands-on every step of the way. 2. It depends on who’s available to them. Talent that are being offered by other indie companies should be fair game, but then again the terms of each deal likely vary. If gaps in the BCA timeline can be filled (across all major US promotions from the mid-to-late ‘90s), I think that would be of greatest interest to FC. Jeff Jarrett may be the exception, as I think his deal came about prior to signing with AEW. 3. The two Jarretts are up next in terms of BCW preorders. They will kickoff Series 2 of the main line. When those go up for preorder is unknown. The only other names announced for Series 2 so far are Referee Mike Chioda and Glacier. 1). I figured it was a learning process and have zero issue with them taking their time with their (IMO) really solid work 2). I'm just confused how an Epic Toys could make figures of Eddy Guerrero or Bobby the Brain Heenan. I assumed they have some sort of special allowance in their deals w/WWE -- I would LOVE to see a proper Guerrero BCA. I'd love to know if that was viable. 3). I'm looking forward to Series 2. I have a list of talent I'd love to see (how could would masked Juvy and Psychosis be?)

My understanding is that Epic was able to sign people who had a lapse in their contract. So contract expires, independent companies swoop in and sign a deal to make one or more figures, and then that talent/estate re-signs with WWE. I’m no legal expert but I would imagine WWE probably asks people to disclose any other deals. Not sure what additional barriers this might create for any of the involved parties but it seems like everyone has benefited from these scenarios.

I have a list of talent I'd love to see (how could would masked Juvy and Psychosis be?) Thanks for moving this over! 1. I believe the changes that FC made and will continue to make to the line will all be for the better, long term. Removing the mechanism would have ideally sped up the process, but that obviously wasn’t the case for Series 1. I think it may have actually caused more problems with the molds, but again, this is a completely new endeavor for them and mistakes are going to be made - not all of which are their doing. 2. As far as I know, names like Guerrero and Heenan would be represented by an estate and may be available to whomever is willing to pay their fee for licensing rights - similar to Andre and Savage. I don’t know that Epic or FC would necessarily have to go through WWE to achieve that, in which case, it’s ultimately up to the indie toymakers to reach out to the talent reps and make that happen. 3. The focus right now seems to be shoring up the sculpts that FC has in their arsenal, and not going overboard on new tooling for Series 2 like there was for Series 1. If sales for Series 1 all of a sudden take off, that would certainly help towards the allowance for new mold-making. Hopefully, we’re past the worst of the delays. Anything from here on out should be better understood and able to be dealt with in a timely manner. Sorry I haven’t posted pics in here yet of my other Series 1 gets. Just need to upload them and get the links all together.
