Does anyone remember what the retail price was for BCA’s back in the 90’s? I remember paying what felt like a lot at a house show for an HBK series 1…I want to say it was like $15 in 1997.

The legs, if they stay the same, appear as if theyll spin like savios or the sultans, which is a shame. I think if enough people draw attention to it, Chella and FC will take notice. They probably already have. We aren’t so far into the line that these things cannot be fixed. Maybe for Meanie and Clark, but the rest that haven’t been shown could still be saved.

House show prices would’ve definitely been in the $10-15 range. Retail was roughly $5-6. Stores had different prices, but BCAs were always known for being reasonably priced.

how much are these? 40$ good lord. used to get things like this at dollar general for 2$ KOs of wwf molds lol A good custom BCA figure would run you as much (you would know better than anyone), if not more, so how’s this any different if someone likes Chella’s work and wants their version of Meanie, Clark, and others in this scale? It’s not like Mattel, Jazwares, or even Jakks would ever come close to doing a line of their own. I could see if there was competition out there for making BCA-style figures, but come on. That’s not happening and we all know it. It’s this or nothing. We all don’t have your talent or expertise, so cut us some slack lol. don't take that guy seriously. no one else does. lol

At least with this hobby, I’ve found that common ground is not unattainable. Everyone should have the right to post in this thread, even if they’re wrong. (I include myself in that group, thank you very much lol)

Wait -- so now if we criticize Zombie's figures, we risk getting banned -- but it's OK to dump on Chella?
Anyway -- the Adam Bomb is FANTASTIC. I don't know how they're allowed to use that design without WWE Legal coming after them, but I think it will sell great, and should

I would like to apologise for how I acted last night. Me and Chigaco talked in PM's and I flew off the handle. Both passionate about these figures, so it was just a misunderstanding. Glad we were able to discuss it, and nobody ran to the mods like in the other thread.

Glad we were able to discuss it, and nobody ran to the mods like in the other thread. I shouldn’t have been so defensive, and the last thing I want to do is make anyone feel unwelcome here. My sincerest apologies to you and anyone else who got that impression from my posts or from interactions we’ve had. I’m glad we can hash things out and move on to bigger and better things. We’ve got so much to look forward to and critique from this point forward. Wait -- so now if we criticize Zombie's figures, we risk getting banned -- but it's OK to dump on Chella? Anyway -- the Adam Bomb is FANTASTIC. I don't know how they're allowed to use that design without WWE Legal coming after them, but I think it will sell great, and should I don’t speak for Jay or anyone else besides myself, but I think his stance is coming more from having to constantly monitor discussion that’s been known to turn toxic. If he’s getting messages about the thread or dealing with reported posts, he’s not going to sit idly by and watch it devolve. I can’t imagine he has a vested interest in these lines or what people think about the makers themselves. Keeping the thread open to those that want to give constructive criticism and stay somewhat on topic is something I think we all should strive to do in the position we’re in. I’m not sure how much of the designs are owned by the talent versus the company, but I would imagine that Clark is in the clear with all of the product he has coming out.

Any word on when they will reveal the final figure? My guesses are Nova, Stevie Richards orTerry Funk/chainsaw charlie Nothing has been hinted at, but I’m thinking maybe Monday. This was teased a week ago: Here was the tweet sent out earlier today. Thus far, I’ve seen people guess Glacier, Disco, Mongo, Mike Tenay lol, Bischoff, Juvi, DAVID ARQUETTE, DDP, Mortis, Psychosis, Giant Gonzalez (more like El Gigante), Vampiro, Raven, Bam Bam, Kona Crush (is it KroniK’s time yet?!), Stevie Richards, MEAT, Jacqueline, Nick Bockwinkel, Jumbo Tsuruta, Savio/Kwang, Vincent, Who (Neidhart gimmick), etc. Jack said this in a podcast interview days before: Some interesting things that were said by 3Lephant (Naptown Icon) in this pod appearance: - He thinks the packaging will match up pretty well with the earlier carded Jakks figures rather than anything later. - There might be an insert and inside the packaging, too. - Meanie has been one of the easiest names to work with as far as everything goes. - He pushed for Meanie to be the first reveal because he fills in a gap and was a logical fit. Didn't take much convincing. - He pushed for "Bryan Clark" because, with the line just getting started, he wanted to play it safe and avoid any legal trouble. - There won't be any wacky accessories like breakable box TVs or leaf blowers or anything like that in this line. - Series 1 will be four singles and one 2-pack. They're finalizing Series 2 and looking towards Series 3. - The price point they're shooting for is similar to Chella's Wrestling Megastars line, which is roughly 40 USD each. - They have to see how the Series 1 numbers are before they start moving beyond the planning stages of production on Series 2. - There is one A-level talent that is yet to be announced for Series 1, and it's not someone Chella is currently working with.- The other name that hasn't been revealed yet is like Sonny Onoo in that they have also never had an action figure before. - He thinks having two names like that in one series is pretty monumental, and he hopes that's enough to drive interest in pre-orders. - Just because four names in Series 1 haven't been made in the Wrestling Megastars or Uncensored lines doesn't mean it'll never happen. - He just wanted to make sure people knew that FC Toys wasn't relying on only names Chella Toys has a relationship with. - He put out feelers for Anvil and hasn't really heard anything back. He assumes it's because of an existing WWE legends deal. - He's trying to fill out that BCA Hart Foundation lineup, so if anything changes with Anvil, he'll definitely reach out again. - He's got his priorities in mind, but he's not being selfish about it. He's going after names that he thinks people will be excited about. - Current plan is for Series 1 to be staggered releases. If all goes well, Series 2 will probably be done as one solid group. - Meanie and Clark will likely be offered for pre-order at the same time on January 22. - The Ultimo/Sonny 2-pack will be its own release sometime after that [Chella said on IG that they're hoping for February]. - The final two reveals for Series 1 will likely be grouped together, similar to Meanie and Clark's pre-orders. - If everything goes according to plan, they'll have at least two full series done and in collectors' hands for 2022. - If things go smoothly and sales are strong for the first and second series, then we'll have more series to look forward to. Based on those clues, it sounds like the sixth and final spot in Series 1 will go to a top-tier WCW talent. My thought was someone who held the world title in that promotion, specifically in the mid-to-late ‘90s. Lex Luger or DDP would be my guess.

I'm still lurking if anyone has any specific questions about the new BCW line!

Would a Tom Brandi aka Salvatore Sincere, Brooklyn Brawler, Demolition ever be possible in the line. They would be some great additions.

Demolition shouldn’t be allowed to but then again, Chella is getting away with those pop style figures or whatever you want to call them. I would love to see them do Demolition in BCA or 7 inch elite style.

I'm still lurking if anyone has any specific questions about the new BCW line! With the Legends of Lucha Libre line already doing Pyschosis & Juvie, is that now out of the question for Chella to do them or are they still on the table for consideration for the line?

BCAs were $5.99 at KB, but the slash was largely $4.99/$9.99/$19.99 on solo, doubles, and box sets.
Probably just the Ultimo pack for me so far. These are like $50 a piece. At $20-30 I probably buy every one, but I’m not paying $50 a shot for guys like Meanie and Gillberg. Bomb is the only one of the singles I’m on the bubble about. I think they’re doing Kronik. So that’s the hesitation on Bomb since I’d rather put the money there, especially since Bomb was Hasbro era and not BCA.
Still, I’ll try and support where I can, and the Ultimo/Sonny pack has me genuinely excited. That and a Kronik 2-pack were dream figures from the MNW period when I was a teen, and I’ll pay a premium for them.

I think the price is fair for it being a small company, but if Mattel had done it it would have been widely condemned. I'm happy to pay it, but I think others like yourself will be more selective. The reason I'm saying I'm quite prepared to pay for them is they are gonna be my main line and main focus going forward, so I'll be being more selective with other lines and make Chella my focus. I get people being put off by the price, and I'm not saying it's cheap cos it certainly isn't. What I am saying is please don't tap out at series 1 because of the price, because we don't know what they potentially have lined up if it does well.
