No it doesn't. It depends on what contract they were working under. Aleister Black had only a 30-day non-compete when he was released. B-Fab apparently just got signed to a new contract when she was released. Does the non-complete clause mean they are being paid? I always thought that that meant they were no longer with the WWF (not being paid) but they could not join a certain company during that time. Basically they tell you that they are releasing you in 90 days but you get paid during that time. Main Roster had 90 days, Most NXT had 30 days but some select NXT guys had 90 day no competes.

Yeah "no-compete" is really a bit of a misnomer with their contracts. It makes sense why we just refer to it as such because that's what its designed to be, but it's written more as "hey you're getting fired in 3 months, go sit at home for 90 days then you can go work other places".

I think Morrison will probably be happy to get cut, they've done nothing with him in months and his wife just got fired after 4 months. They'd both be better off without being in WWE in my opinion. Can't understand why they bothered to sign both of them in the first place just to be here. Seems like such a wasted opportunity. to be fair, it was consistent well paying work in a time of economic uncertainty.

Based on what I've seen, they are still paid during the non-compete period by WWE. Also, Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp has stated that some wrestlers do like the non-compete period as they are still paid during this time and it likely gives them a moment to regroup and such.

Imagine being one of these guys, and you turn Survivor Series or Raw only to see that you were cut in favor of a glorified Easter decoration.

Not necessarily a release, but Scotty 2 Hottie asked for his release today. I guess if he is granted it that he will be gone from the PC. Good for him ensign his tenure on his terms. Via his IG is where I found this information at.

Basically any run now is just an audition. All the way to the top…nothing will top the shock I had when they released Strowman and Wyatt. Maybe Wyatt wanted to go, Braun definitely didn’t. Nick Khan is an interesting individual, that’s for sure.

Mattel and 2K must be upset with any work they already did.

Basically any run now is just an audition. Always was. Al Snow has preached that in interviews and to his students for decades. He’s got a whole spiel on it, about maximising your minutes. Every second of TV time is worth X amount of dollars, and every second you get is an audition to be on TV again next week. Austin Theory must be impressing the hell out of the decision makers at the moment, they’re making sure to factor him in more and more high-profile parts of the show.

Morrison should have won the US Title and then win the WWE Title. I still can’t believe this crap.

For the guy who asked, Supposedly, Shane isn't even with the company anymore. He's got a glorified legends deal. He doesn't even own a single share of stock let alone have a corporate position.
With him gone, I'm just waiting on Sami and Kevin to go, then I can stop paying attention. Crap like what happened tonight though makes me want to tune out sooner.
*although...*
I had a really wild-a$$ theory the other day.
So, Trips has heart issues. It couldn't have been sudden, the dirt sheets didn't even know he was going for surgery. Vince had to know that his son-in-law was having heart problems. And, if it is as serious as they say, there's a good chance Vince has known for awhile that he is never going to take up the mantle. And if he doesn't, maybe he doesn't want Steph alone to carry the torch.
Maybe he really IS planning on selling the company, if for no other reason then there is nobody left in the family to run it?
Just a wild theory I had. Thoughts?

Just a wild theory I had. Thoughts? Sire Vince must have secretly known earlier. Heart issues are no small thing but fixable with time (and money in the US). I don’t see any changes of the plans for the long future. Give him 1-2 years to rest. He will cone back, most likely not as a wrestler anymore, but Stephanie and Hinter will carry the Federation. With Road Dogg and HBK they even already have their own Pritchards and Dunns. Nothing to worry in the long term.

Neither Road Dogg nor Shawn Michaels can do Kevin Dunn’s job, but I’m sure they already have production people upskilled in line to take over when he retires. It would be very unlikely that a wrestler would end up in that role.

Hopefully he gets tons of bookings! Narrator: “He won’t” I don't think he would under any circumstances, he's just a crap wrestler to begin with.

I don't think he would under any circumstances, he's just a crap wrestler to begin with. He might get a run in NWA but it’s pretty clear only because Billy has been on autopilot since the pandemic started. Shame because NWA was showing potential.
