Wazzup Wfigs. Is there something you love still, but has fallen out of style, and wish it was still in? Be it that people just make it harder to find said stuff, or that you could be mocked for repping it, or saying it (stuff is still dope for sure)? I am talking the gamut from bell bottoms to propeller hats, yoyos to unicycles, or "Wazzup?" to "da bomb". Anything and everything that you still do, love, or want to be mainstream again. Rock a beeper....cool. Jnco elephant ears...fresh. Walk the dog with a yoyo in the park....sweet.
Even if you are just bummed that adults aren't supposed to enjoy something considered for kids, let it be known.
For me, I still like swinging on swingsets, listening to my cd/tape boombox, repping Jncos, visiting arcades in malls, and talking about "back in my day". I keep it straight 90s. Whoop Whoop.
Hope yall enjoy this nostalgia trip.
We are taking it back.

Definitely malls!
Watching videos now of empty malls is a dangerous, nostalgic and depressing rabbit hole but just to see how many different kinds there were all over at least the US that are now just basically haunted buildings makes me think of all the different experiences people must have had at them over that 25 year period they were untouchable.
Now the malls that are owned by Simon or whoever are big, cold, empty, mostly bland looking...sometimes with unique stores but most of the time with the same stuff you'd expect. I'm not expecting to walk in and see a spinning top shop or something like that but there used to be a good mix of variety between chains, lesser known chains and local stores. There was kind of a glow they had honestly and spending time there was actually fun instead of a weird chore like it is now. Part of this might be me not being a youth anymore but any existing malls now look and seem different.
Other things on the list for me are AIM, life without cell phones and the word 'cool'.

There was a spell when I was young, 14/15 years old, where cardigans were back in style and really popular. Didn't last too long, but it was fun while it lasted.

I miss physical copies of things as well. There was just something about walking into a Toys R Us, KB Toys, Blockbuster, Sam Goody, and seeing a huge collection of toys/games/movies/cd’s/etc…

Manners. Patients. Doing something nice without documenting it for everyone to see & "like". 1¢ & 5¢ gumball machines. Blockbuster Video stores. Toy stores. Mayor McCheese, Captain Crook & the Hamburglar. Daytime game shows. MTV to show music videos only. The Sears Wishbook.

If you told a girl she was cute, pretty, or called her sweetheart they were flattered and were happy to hear it. Now you try and do it some people make a big stink that it's no good to do it. How are they expecting this young face in phone texting generation to get a social life.
No manners just rude people, that need a Casey Jones hockey stick beating.

Common Courtesy, and just some examples: People offering their seat to the elderly. Parents telling their kids to get up and offer their seat to Adults/Elderly. Holding the door open for others. Saying thank you to those of us who actually still use common courtesy towards others.

Saying thank you to those of us who actually still use common courtesy towards others. We screw up a lot of things in Hicksville Saskatchewan, but this is the one thing you can always count on in our province. It's still common courtesy to wave to oncoming drivers on grid roads just to say hi.
