Just found out Dick Warlock is doing an appearance in August in Chicago and I must go. Halloween II is my favorite in the series and he’s my favorite Michael. Plus I have so much love for Halloween 3. He says every year that it's his "last year" for cons but ends up doing another round. If I had to put money on it, I think this is really his last year. With the big Halloween 45 event happening this year it make sense. I want to start a new Halloween 3 poster since the one I have is all with black markers. So I'm trying to figure out which event to go to. I met the cast ages ago but I really want to get a poster with signatures in orange or green to make it pop. I added Bill Randolph and Lauren Marie Taylor to the Friday 2 poster recently. I'm running out of space but will add Russell Todd and Harry Manfredini this summer for sure. I hope that Steve Miner does another con so I can add him. Poster As far as movies so far of 2023: I liked Murder Anyone? and Infinity Pool. Mia Goth is just knocking it out with some of her performance this last year or so. Did not like M3gan, The Offering, or Consecration. Tons of stuff I haven't seen. Not sure if I'll watch Knock at the Cabin or Children of the Corn. Going to give Winnie the Pooh Blood and Honey a try. Mia has been incredible in about everything I've seen her in,she amazing in X and Pearl. Can't wait for the third. I agree about M3gan too, that was awful imo

Got to see an early critics screening of evil dead rise last night. Man it was amazing! Treated the franchise with respect, legit frightening.

Love of my life asked me to go see Scream with her and I’d do a lot worse if she asked so we went and even though I knew the killers I actually enjoyed it. Unlike the last one, which I repeat is one of my least favorite movies of the last couple years, this one felt pretty logical with its character decisions. Outside the himbo bang buddy. I really didn’t see the point of him. So I’ll watch the next but can we still bring Stu back? Saw Renfield too the night before and ing enjoyed the hell out of it. I’m a Nic Cage fan boy though so not shocking.

I had such high expectations for Renfield so I was a little disappointed but ended up being a solid 3 out of 5 for me.

Has anyone here seen Haunt? And is it worth the watch?

Has anyone here seen Haunt? And is it worth the watch? If you are talking about the 2019 film, yes it's worth watching I would say. I mean most of the characters aren't really fleshed out which is common in horror movies but the final girl and the setting I found to be good. I should also say that I personally think every movie is worth watching though. But if you don't have a lot of time to waste on bad movies, I totally understand that. I don't think Haunt was bad though.

I dont think i could give it anything more then around a 2, giving it a 3 out of 5 would be very generous personally, I didn't really enjoy it at all and like you I was looking forward to it

I’ve decided I want to start a replica display and get the replicas signed. Meeting Dick Warlock, Kane Hodder, and Skeet Ulrich in August so going to buy a replica of the Halloween 2, Friday The 13th 7, and Scream masks and get them signed.

Very nice guy and signed some stuff for free for my little sister.

Any particular reason you are going with 7? I'd assume because it's his first outing or you like the design but I'm curious. I once had a masked signed by most of the Jason actors from 3-8 on it, including like Hock from 5 and De Luna from 3. But then I decided that I wanted individual movie masked signed and got rid of it which was a huge mistake because Richard Brooker passed away shortly after I sold it. I only own a part 4 mask signed by Ted White at the moment.

Part three is my favorite in the series though so a real bummer I won’t be able to get that one signed.

Part three is my favorite in the series though so a real bummer I won’t be able to get that one signed. If you wanted to represent 3, you could get a masked signed by Mike De Luna. The problem though is he never does cons and only does private signings/mail-ins but even those are rare. The gang over at raretracks.store are trying to get another one set up with him. Here are the scenes that are known to be Mike: Window SceneNo one debates that this scene is Mike and not Richard First Kill in the MaskThe story goes that the 3D shot of the first kill was taking forever to set up. They shot the scenes with Jason walking out and setting up with Richard. The actual 3D shot is Mike at a different time. Some people debate if Mike is doing the walk up scene and Richard is doing the 3D shot. Barn hangingTheir is some debate on who filmed the upper barn scenes. The scene where Jason is hung and his body comes toward the camera and the wide shot are 100% De Luna. The scenes just prior to this when she knocks him down and prepares the rope is debatable on if its De Luna The most debated scene is when Chris opens the barn doors and Jason's body is still hanging. I could see the scene of her opening the door being De Luna, but when it cuts to the close up and he takes his mask off it's Brooker. All in all De Luna had more screen time in Friday 3 than both Ari Lehman and Warrington Gillette combined but you never hear about De Luna because he is such a private person. When he did his last signing with Raretracks.store I jumped at the opportunity to get a poster from Friday 3 and The Rocketeer poster (Mike does all the masked scenes in The Rocketeer).

CM Tusk - Some cast from Friday Part 3 announced for Days of the Dead Chicago in November. I wish I could make this, but I'll probably see if someone is doing consignments to work on my part 3 poster. And I'm pretty sure Steve Miner has a house in Chicago still, so hopefully they can get him to appear. I honestly thought that the new Exorcist movie had already come out and was so bad that I never heard anything about. Apparently it's coming out later this year. I was mixing it's release up with the new Salem's Lot. Salem's Lot lost it's release date to Evil Dead Rise, which I still haven't seen. I liked the movies, but I rarely re-watch them. I never did get into Ash Vs Evil Dead either. Then we are also getting a remake of The Strangers, which just seems really odd. I don't feel like that movie is that old but it did come out in 2008. It's just one of those things that when you live through something it doesn't seem that old but when you stop to think about it, it's "Man that was 15 years ago." I don't think I've posted this here but this is a Friday the 13th part 5 poster that I created using various software and images to get it big enough for a 12x18 poster. This artwork was only used in various home video release and never used for poster artwork so I had to do it myself. I've been sitting on it for a couple of years now and missed multiple casts member to sign it as I was holding out on getting Carol Locatell to sign it first. I just felt like if she didn't sign it I would always feel like it was incomplete. I had met Carol once before many many many years ago but I wasn't collecting posters at the time and got an 8x10. The past three cons that Carol was scheduled for she ended up canceling. This past February Days of the Dead Atlanta had a big chunk of the cast from part 5. I finally bit the bullet to get some signatures because John Shephard who plays Tommy in Part 5 finally did an appearance. In April, Carol Locatell passed away. She had been battling cancer which is why she was canceling so many cons. I'll always feel like this poster will be incomplete, but I'm going to matt it with the 8x10 of her so she is represented. So far it's only signed by 3 cast members, with at least 4 more to come later this year.

I’ve had trouble finding a Warlock Halloween 2 replica mask I like. The major releases like the Trick Or Treat Studios ones just don’t look like it does in the film to me. Found someone that makes replicas on Etsy but have been holding off as they run $400+. Just found one on eBay that I really like for $250 so I bit the bullet. Really looking forward to meet Warlock and getting him to sign. Also, looking at that line up for the Halloween 45 convention and getting real sour I’ll have to miss it. Also we have a local year round Halloween costume store that currently has a really nice Friday The 13th Part VII replica that I’m going to end up snagging.

That is an awesome mask. Do you know what color you are going to get him to sign in CM Tusk? There was a guy/company, I think it was just a hardcore fan to be honest, that in the late 90s-early 2000s made really good replica masks for 1 and 2 because he had access to the original mask from Warlock before Warlock sold it off in 2003. The whole story of the original mask is wild to me.

The whole story of the original mask is wild to me. Think I may just stick with black on the neck. I’ve seen a few masks with his signature and it’s not too big, I just don’t want it on the face. I’ve read a bit on the original mask. If I had a time machine first thing I’d do is go back and offer him a ton for it. Haha I also think I’m going to get a tattoo of the mask and have him sign it so get tattooed too. Very few people who’s signature I’d want on my body, maybe three, but he’s one of them.
