Speaking of side stories in Dexter, you think there's gonna be a payoff with that oil tycoon from earlier in the season? The yellow eyed demon? I forgot he existed

Poor Harrison. The closest person to a father he had tried to kill him. Also, I can’t overlook the crater sized plot hole of Angela possibly linking Dexter to the Bay Harbour Butcher case via the ketamine when he actually used M99. I’m hoping it gets explained somehow because it just seems a little too blatant. If can find something to nitpick with this season it’s the conveniences with Angela. From her conversation with Angel to linking things up to the BHB it just doesn’t feel earned.

It could’ve been told over a season or two if they had the time

It could’ve been told over a season or two if they had the time That's my thoughts, I feel it's non stop which is great, but they probably could have spread it out just a wee bit more. But, has it been said whether this will be the only new season? I guess that depends on the ending of this one first.

I’m not personally bothered by the pacing of the show, given this will most likely be the only season. It’s valid criticism for the police work moving too fast though, since it’s literally one person connecting all the dots that an entire police department in Miami couldn’t.
Loved the latest episode. Really satisfying to see how close Dexter and Harrison have finally gotten. This season definitely makes up for how bad season 8 was in my book.

Awesome new episode. Can’t wait for next week but man I don’t want it to be over. I loved this show in its original run except for the weak finale so it’ll be bittersweet seeing it go away again but I’m grateful for this season to give the show a better send off

Just finished the newest episode On demand & although it was a good episode, the loose ends tying up quickly just makes for such a rushed series. Kurts ending was also not that satisfying compared to other Dex killings. And the straight forward letter that Angela found in her mailbox was just stupid. Suspicion confirmed. Now she’s going to stop digging in Dex past & dig for proof on Jim killing Matt. All going to be tried in 1 episode. Please.
Knowing what they wrote or had ideas for, why not make it a longer series? And if the end result is just to kill off Dexter or to be caught why didn’t the original series just do that?
If Dex just walks off into the sunset it’ll be stupid. I think the end result will be disappointing just like before.

Damn, was Kurt's trophy room creepy as hell. I hope they stick the landing next week, but I'm not overly confident based on the episode preview. Hope I'm wrong.

Oh & I want to point out this from an article I read about the last episode. Dex used M99 originally in his syringes but when Angela finds needle marks in the dead overdosed guy & the alive drug dealer told her he was stuck with something, Angela finds out later it’s Ketamine. She googled “Ketamine Miami homicide” & the Bay Harbor butcher comes up. This should’ve come up with no real results but somehow she found results.
Angela is single handedly solving the case of the Bay Harbor butcher & Dexters involvement by just simply using Google. Haha. “Detective Google & Angela are on the case”
The last couple of episodes how the loose ends are tying up reminds me of episodes of Law & Order. Boooo!

This was the best episode so far. Kurt's room was creepy as . I'm curious about what could be in Molly's research and if it'll come into play.

I feel like the season will end with a cliffhanger. Dexter is find out and on the run next season.
Though how Harrison looked at Dexter several times, I think the original belief Harrison kills Dexter is most likely.

Best episode yet, and I was just waiting for Harrison to find out about Dexter and I loved the way they did it. I hope it ends on a "what if" and they do another season. Hell, sign me up up for 5 more!

I think it’s pretty clear that Dexter dies & becomes Harrison’s dark passenger. It’s called Dexter New Blood. I see another season taking place with Harrison.

Welp
I enjoyed the ending. All in all, this season ends up my second favorite of the entire shows run. There was only one way this story could end, and it’s how it should have ended originally. He couldn’t keep running. For all the “good” he did, he also ruined the lives of everyone around him. Including Harrison. Having Harrison follow in his footsteps, would have damaged him even further. He got a good ten years away from his dark passenger. He got to live a normal life in that time. At the end though, Jim Lindsey was just a costume and eventually it was bound to come over. I don’t expect or want more. Harrison doesn’t need to be the next Dexter. Good stuff and a good bye.

Yup what a disappointment. It’s the way of events & how they tied it up that’s disappointing. Let’s just forget the big plot hole from what Dexter used to knock out his victims (This is a big plot hole) in Miami vs Iron Lake, Angela basically forgetting that Kurt killed her best friend & now only focusing on Dexter, Angela wants justice/was/would go by the book but is Ok with just letting Harrison go after shooting Dexter. Such BS. Kurt’s death should’ve happened in the very last episode, Dex & Harrison should’ve bonded early on instead of just 1 episode, or Harrison shouldn’t have been introduced at all. Dex hadn’t killed in a while but he was very sloppy in the murder of Matt.
Dexters end result in this series should’ve just happened at the end of season 8. This series wasn’t need based on how they wrote/ended this. Pass.
BTW the actress that plays Angela’s had horrible acting when she saw the body’s in Kurt’s bunker.
