Thinking back to my 25+ year “career” of flying (usually once a year, and I didn’t fly at all between 2012 and 2018), I realize I’ve never flown first class. From time to time I’ll hear or read interviews where celebrities speak about doing so, but I’m not sure if I even have any close friends or family who have flown first class. So for the humans of WF I inquire…have you flown first class? I assume flying first class can be different depending on flight, airline, and time period, so what was your experience like? Was it worth the price of admission? Would you do it again? Are there any negatives aside from the price?

Once on a 13 hour flight from New Zealand to Los Angeles. It was half price so I’d be crazy not to take advantage of that. We had a menu with about four or five choices per course. I remember not being able to decide between two of the choices so the air hostess bought me both of them. One of them was a burger and fries which I couldn’t believe I was eating on a plane, granted they were pretty dry. Super comfortable bed which I’d even put up against my several thousand dollar costing bed. We were told that when we wanted to go to sleep to call a hostess ant they’ll come make up the bed for us. Me being me was like ‘I can make my own bed, no big deal’. Turns out I couldn’t do it and ended up sleeping upright for a while. I was trying to push the seat when it had to be pulled to lie flat. intellectually- disabled person me.
I’d absolutely do it again but only on a flight of similar length though.

Don’t do it. You will always hate flying any other way after. I’m a cheap ass mf’r,.. Ill fly with ing Lao Che. My wife worked for an airline for a while and I flew first class anywhere for like $50. It was superb. Full bed with down pillow and duvet. Hostess tucks you in. Dinner menu. Big screen extends over bed.

I’ve never flown first class, but I always have to walk through first class when I’m boarding, and it doesn’t seem like that much better. But I’m also the type that doesn’t mind sitting all the way in the back and just leaning up against the wall

It’s more like premium seats and those are the planes you walk thru those better seats to get into the back. The 747 has an entire private first class with a bar lounge that no other passengers are allowed into.

My uncle used to work for United Airlines and there were a couple times he had them bump our tickets to first class. Once on my honeymoon and then another time on a family vacation to CA.

I flew in first class from Phoenix to Pittsburgh as a child once. Somewhere in the 90s.
All it really was back then was a bigger, more comfortable seat and better food. My dad was in coach for that flight while my mom and I were in first class. He had a chicken pita pocket for dinner while my mother had I believe salmon and I had shrimp cocktail. Also, we had access to unlimited drinks so the stewardess just kept bringing me an endless supply of Pepsi which I thought was cool. Unfortunately, that much pepsi led to unpleasant-for-an-airplane side effects and, although First Class was right by the bathroom, they were shared with coach so eventually I stopped drinking the Pepsi for my own sake.
That was the one and only time I got to fly first class and now you'd be hard pressed to get me on a plane at all. Between my size and paranoia, I'd be the worst passenger ever. You want me on an airplane you better have a week-long, all expense paid vacation waiting at the other end.

I wish I could fly first class but I can't afford that. I hope it will change soon but for now, I am unemployed. I lost my job and I am totally desperate. I try to make money by freelancing but it's not enough. I need to pay for the apartment... I want to get a payday loan, seems like this service maybeloan.com/payday-loans/in is good, besides, my friend recommended me it.

Never flown first class, and honestly haven't ever been bothered to. I get it, but we sit on tightly packed buses going to football grounds all over Scotland every other week so it's one of those things that doesn't bother me, same as flying. I've never flown further than America so flying is just one of those annoying things that you just can't wait to touch down so you can get off the plane.

Ive never actually flown but if its anything significantly long (5+ hours) Id probably go first class. It would be worth the price IMO
