This is basically the Child's Play version of Freddy's Revenge and I'm into it.

Lot to unpack from episode 3. I’m excited to see more flashbacks from Chucky’s childhood.

Honestly this has been my least favorite episode so far but I'm still following. Just too many poorly thought out situations that didn't mix well with the schlocky acting.

Did you like how literally not one single kid smelled the god damn smoke from that fire? The whole episode was riddled with sh*t like this. Jake running through the woods with a knife was weird, the sharp tools in the garage...I get it's a Chucky movie show and everyone in the show is a little out of whack or a miserable person but come on.

Yeah, the woods part was stupid. Also, a lot of the dialog scenes in general feel awkward and unrealistic. It's definitely hard to be invested in any of the characters except for Chucky.

She does a good job at making you not like her.

I hope Lexy is dead or dies soon I think they're going to do a redemption thing with her, possibly because she seems to at least have concern for her sister (who it feels like they're coding as somewhere on the autism spectrum? Am I reading too far into that?) and that's likely going to be a plot element. Like it's feeling like there's going to be a point where she realizes she's awful, which her stilted half-apology to Jake was hinting at. She might still end up dying, but they've set up enough with her where I wouldn't be surprised if she comes out of the show alive and more likeable.
I'm actually interested in these characters and a little worried that when the OG franchise characters start showing up, it's going to derail the stories building now. Degrassi + Killer Doll is working for me more than I realized.

I hate that they brought Alex Vincent back as Andy for the franchise. I felt the same way with curse of chunky. The guy just isn’t a good actor.

I've been watching since the first episode. It's pretty decent so far. I'm just kind of confused on the timeline. At the end of the last Chucky movie, he transferred his soul into Nica, so why is he still a doll? Is this a Voldemort situation where his soul is split into pieces across multiple objects? Andy was locked in the insane asylum, but he was able to call Jake to tell him that Chucky was evil. Lexy's dad is the doctor from the last movie.
How does any of this make any sense

How does any of this make any sense Yeah in Cult he explained that he learned how to split his soul into multiple dolls, one of which he used to possess Nica. He’s still in several different Chuckies. I imagine Andy has gotten out of the asylum. I’m sure we will see how in a future episode. As for the same actor playing Lexy’s dad and the doctor, they are definitely different characters. Sometimes shows and movies cast the same actors and actresses for different roles, and I’m not sure why. Must have just been a big fan of working with the guy and wanted to more.

people in this show are really nonchalant about death and murder. Lexi got over Jake wanting to kill her real quick. Also Lexi’s parents are awful.
The Eddie Caputo Easter egg was a nice touch in the flashback scene.

I hope Funko or Neca is already working on this episode's version of Chucky

I think last nights episode was the worst one so far. It felt very meh. I do like how they continue to include flashback scenes to Chuckys younger days, though. I hope they include the Voodoo guy from the first movie at some point.

I hope they include the Voodoo guy from the first movie at some point. Yeah it definitely is stretched a little thin at this point, even with the returning characters. The flashback scenes are good but the VO is ridiculous. I wish they had just played the characters without it. I've been pretty lenient at this point especially after seeing killerwhiteline call this Degrassi with killer dolls which I think is a great description but it's more and more feeling like just watching bad TV as it goes on.

There’s no way Chucky was pulling any bitches with a face, haircut and voice like that. Zero drip.

Haha absolutely no drip. That said I did see today that it was Fiona Dourif under the makeup which I think is really cool but the VO still sucked.

I think Fiona Dourif is a good actress but I’m not a big fan of the character.
