What an entertaining show all around. My biggest critique of AEW PPVs is that I feel they run too long but I didn't feel burned out by the end here. Great "surprises" in Ruby Soho, Cole, and Danielson debuting. Loved the subversion of Adam Cole joining The Elite followed by Bryan Danielson's debut. Looking forward to seeing where CM Punk goes from here as well.
The landscape has definitely changed and I'm very much looking forward to seeing how AEW manages this stacked roster of theirs. I understand the concerns of the amount of ex-WWE guys showing up over the past few months. However, I look at it less as them taking AEW talent's spots and more so bolstering the talent pool to have a mix of homegrown talent and familiar star power to help bridge a crossover audience. There are going to be so many fresh matchups on a weekly basis not to mention bonafide dream matches for upcoming events/PPVs.
I always find it interesting when fans complain about "WWE guys/gals" jumping ship. What else are they supposed to do? Stay complacent in a company they don't want to be in? Should they only stick to the indies or less popular companies like Impact or ROH? Or straight up retire? I think there's room in AEW for a variety of talent from all over, and they continue to prove that's exactly what they are.
Onward to Dynamite and beyond for this wild wrestling rollercoaster.

AEW has the best in ring talent and roster possible in pro wrestling history right now.Only roster that I can think of that was as good is the WWE roster in '02 and the original brand split era,but even then it was spread out over two different shows.

I didn’t know Adam page had a uterus. Again he can do whatever he wants, but fans are back now. Kinda blowing it.

The take that men shouldn't take a paternity leave to spend time with their wives and newborn babies is one of the weirder perspectives I've ever heard... That's about the nicest way I can phrase that. Pretty sure the overwhelming majority of aew fans are willing to be happy for him having a kid and welcome him back to dethrone Omega when he returns.

Page is gonna be fine. He was the most over guy on the roster before he took the break and is only going to be gone for a couple of months. He'll come back, get a mega pop (as everyone who is over and returns in wrestling does), resume being incredibly over, and sooner than later resume the program against Omega before ultimately winning the title. This will all most likely happen by Full Gear.
Danielson, Cole, and Punk signing didn't change anything. They're not taking the belt off Omega.

Was a good show, but I’ll also say I thought some matches went too long. I really enjoyed Baker/Statlander. Thought the tag title match went too long, didn’t need the Mox match, do not care about NJPW. Glad the women’s Rumble didn’t take too long, MJF Jericho should’ve just put MJF over. Jericho always has to have the last word with this crap and ok let’s bury Aubrey. Dumb ref can’t do her job…Punk Darby was ok, but Punks ring work was never the best part. I need him to be pissed about something. Idk how long happy go lucky punk lasts with me. And at least Big show was a squash basically.

Page doesn’t HAVE to win the title right now, and if he were at the show fans would have been chanting for him during the main event. The guy works in a place that’s letting him spent precious time with his family and aren’t punishing him for it. It’s a non-issue and a good look for AEW.

I never thought I would see Sting,Bryan,Omega,Darby,Punk,Christian,Cole,Jericho,MJF,Jungle Boy,Bucks,Lucha Bros,Mox,Britt,Rosa etc on one show. It's unbelievable when you look at the names that was on that show last night but I still need to see Buddy in a AEW ring please.

Last night was the greatest show I've ever been to. Not only did I get to see my all time favorite debut, but after his promo when the shoe went off the air Bryan was running all over high fiving everyone and he came to my section! I was sitting on the bottom row of the bleachers on the side of the stage everyone was leaving on, so we got some cool fan interaction all throughout. Like Jamie Hayter yelling at me and making me feel a certain way

I enjoyed the show a lot. As somebody that was mainly focused on Punk's match and possibly seeing Danielson debut, I was happily surprised by how much more substance it had than that.
The women's battle royal was great. Somebody mentioned earlier in this thread that the entrants seemed too fast but I disagree, I thought the pacing of the match in it's entirety was really well done. I think Rosa should have won but I understand why they gave it to Soho. People are excited that she's here and you have to strike while the iron is hot.
The Young Bucks/Lucha Brothers tag match was insane. If anybody thought that was just another Young Bucks tag match, I'm not sure what match you were watching. It had drama and exciting story telling without oversaturating use of the cage.
Also, big shout out to Christian. I'll admit, I didn't really care that he was joining AEW. I felt it would just be the same as his TNA run but he looked great out there and it's a miracle he can still work in 2021 given his health issues. I also do believe he's one of the guys that was born to do this and deserves a proper send off, even though he may not objectively be the main event guy.
But yeah, if this show wasn't for you then just give up on AEW. It's okay to be a WWE guy instead. Invest your time in what you enjoy watching. At the end of the day, it's only pro wrestling and it's supposed to be fun.

Just... wow.
This, for me, is as good as any of the top wrestling PPVs ever.

Whatever. Can’t critique All friends wrestling apparently. Everyone’s friends there’s plenty of room for everyone to be too guys. Circle jerks for everyone Wow. People don't agree with your out of touch view and that's how you respond. You need a break from the internet friend.

Harping on a guy with strong familiar bonds who wanted to be supportive of his wife and be there for the birth of his (I presume) first child is in no way, shape, form, or fashion, an honest critique of AEW.
