WM9 Hulk Hogan was something I wanted, not nessarily something I needed. I'll live if Amazon doesnt restock. SS89 Hulk is what I need though.

Amazon Exclusive means nothing else than that the figure is only available at Amazon. This has nothing to do with the number of figures made. It's still mass produced.

No announcement is ridiculous. They have to be seeing this, they know that people are wondering if there will be more stock. Even if the answer is 'I don't know, but will keep everyone updated', that would be absolutely fine. What I envision is them hiding under blankets and pillows, waiting for the ire to lower. Mattel apologist can say 'they don't owe us anything', 'they don't owe us an explanation', etc. I disagree. They owe us an answer at least. They also owed us the time that they would go up if they knew it. I am a very unhappy customer, and also being a dick I think that they owe us a whole new Ultimate Hogan from a similar time period (and probably Hardy for those who didn't get him). Proper skin tone (like the exclusive), 3 BRAND NEW HEADS (Normal, mid Hulk-up, babyface smile. No more of that uncolored stubble bull$#!t), 1991-ish, removable Python Power bandana, bonus Hulk Rules bandana, bonus blue bandana with white stars (Wrestlemania VII), rubber mid-rip shirt (so that the ends can be placed in each hand to look like a proper rip. No more rubber shirt with the slit down it or velcro), bonus complete shirt with no rip down the middle for display purposes. Extra hands like the exclusive. No need for the belt, call it a Hogan from between Wrestlemania 6 and 7 when he wasn't champion.

Mattel apologists won't like that, but to be fair I did say I'd be out for blood if I didn't get that Hogan, which sold out FASTER than Slaughter somehow.

No it’s all true. Trust me, I feel dirty about it. Since Mattel is refusing to give a sale time or any info at all, please let me know my options other than paying trash scalpers. Probably thousands of people stared at their screens yesterday (and most likely today) hitting refresh repeatedly. I was lucky to get Slaughter the other day, but if I didn’t, at least I had a punchers chance. I’m sorry you feel people shouldn’t be mad that the only real option is scalpers. Yes these are just “toys”, but these are toys I collect so I want them

I understand you. What's the point of collecting a series when you have to fight that hard to get your figure. However I don't thinn they're sold out.

To me it just comes down to the simple fact that they should make the toys readily available to everyone. Make plenty to go around or leave the preorders open for a specific time and make as many as needed. I want to buy things but im not jumping through hoops to do it.

I think you should take lessons in just being nice. Good luck to you. People gave up lunch breaks, took a day out of work to support a toy line, to support something that makes them (us) happy and they (Mattel) literally have Chocolate Shark on the majority of us. Maybe we were getting something for ourselves, Our inner child or even our children. You are exactly right it is a toy, and toys should not be this ridicules to collect or to play with. I am a little hopeful that the exclusives will show again. There are 1000's of people showing support for a toy line that is (to be honest geared towards adults) lets hope they show the same same respect back. Just my 2 cents and a piece of chewing gum.

I agree they can do what they want and don’t owe us anything. It just seems like they’re leaving money on the table. I want to buy their toys and if I can’t, I spend my money elsewhere. But what do I know?

I just have a realistic acceptance that sometimes we don’t get everything we want and how we want. Do I wish I was able to have gotten Hardy/Hogan yesterday? Of course. Am I going to throw a temper tantrum, lose sleep and blame Mattel? Of course not.

I think people are beimg to cavalier with Mattel when it comes to their pre orders and exclusives. Is it soley Mattel ? Probably not. These retailers have a responsibility in it too.

Do they owe us an explanation , the consumer purchasing their product and supporting their lines ? ABSOLUTELY.

That is customer relations, plain and simple. Not even debatable.

Without getting into the anger aspect of your post, the ultimate you described is the figure everyone wants and probably the one they will never actually make.

At this point, I’m convinced that big companies like Mattel and Hasbro purposely avoid completely nailing tent pole characters like Wolverine and Batman and Hogan so that they can continue to make money off redos, variants and improvements.

When they get so many second tier characters precisely correct on the first pass, you have to assume it’s because they know they’re only getting one crack at that character. You can get people to double, triple, octuple dip for Hogan based on one new accessory, so why give everything up front?

Look, I don’t like certain things that big toy company’s do BUT I understand why they do them, especially from a business point of view

I remember when Jeff Jarrett cut his hair with a new gimmick, jakks released his first new gimmick figure with a Owen hart head and a goatee slapped on it! Lol it was so stupid, but I didn’t mind as much cause I had a Jeff Jarrett quick! Now the bad part about it was they never got around to making him with his own head sculpt which now looking back just sucked cause the only one you have from jakks is the Owen hart headed Jeff Jarrett

Now to Mattel, USA sting, such a great figure, Batista torso!? Man that was something else, waited patiently for a updated version with a realistic sized torso, nothing, I understand if you want to milk all you can get out of a character, but when the dust settles, give us the one we want
