so i had to go out today and buy a THIRD set of storage drawers because the collection is getting to that point now 😅

luckily it turned into a rainy day today and i had alot on my mind, so i took some time to completely re-organize my figures. i was able to organize them into drawers for Legends, Attitude era, Ruthless Aggression Era, Modern Era, and a Drawer for all the Womens Wrestlers. 😎 by doing this i have so much more space in the drawers which is great because theres tons of preorders dropping soon lol

gonna bust out some legends reviews today!



VADER

i LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this figure--its a really stacked offering. we finally got Vader in this attire with the matching full mask, the Vader Armor, extra head and red removable strap mask, AND extra set of Vader V hands. there was no change to the body formula, which is not a shock, but kindof a shame because as with all Vader figures, his ankles are a weak point.
i was surfing Mercari earlier this week and saw a listing for a loose WCW championship belt at a somewhat reasonable price(ive been working so much overtime lately i gotta treat myself). the belt looks good enough, but im slightly suspicious because the back of the belt only says 'made in china' and has no wwe or mattel markings on it, so i wonder could this be a bootleg? the only huge thing that looks off is that the color of the globe is more purple than blue, but the rest of the paint apps and molding look fine to me.
i was able to purchase Vader on Target.com for retail



E29 Andre

i skipped on this figure when it released because i owned the mattycollector andre and saw no reason to essentially re-purchase the figure. owning it now i gotta say that it does kinda work as a 2-in-1 offering. the face definitely reads as an older andre, but i notice and appreciate the effort on mattels behalf with this figure. when shopping for an adre to add to the collection, i almost bought the heenan pack andre, because i like my andre to have the chops, BUT i prefer softgoods singlet to the painted one.
i purchased this andre on ebay, loose but mint for $30 shipped



The Shark

this is a fun figure! im a big fan of John Tenta and if you surf r/squaredcircle, his son occasionally pops in to share a candid picture or story about how awesome the real earthquake was. dont really have too much to add about this figure-i mainly bought it because i was shopping for some actual earthquake figures and i found someone selling this figure for $10+shipping MOC, SO I BIT ON HIM! SHARK ATTACK!!!!!



Warlord

i really like this figure. Warlord was before my time, but a fond memory i have was when i DID start watching wrestling, my family would take a trip to the local video rental store every friday and i would rent a wrestling vhs, a movie, and a playstation game! i would ALWAYS get the old school WWF Coliseum videos and Warlord made frequent appearances in those. my favorites were the royal rumbles.
i really like that they gave Warlord the Brock body; Warlord was from that time when men were meat mountains. otherwise, this figure is stacked; he comes with entrance gear that looks and fits on the figure great, and the headsculpt looks awesome as well!

Legends Tantaka

this is another figure of a character that was a bit before my time, but i really dig it! as with Warlord, my memories of Tantaka come from seeing him in the old Coliseum videos. it wouldve been cool to get a headdress or some other entrance gear for him besides just a tomahawk. i found their choice of giving him the Batista torso unique, but i guess it works-he was never that shredded, but it was back in the 80s where guys were just bigger. i like the overall color palette of the figure, the white trunks with the red / black / blue accents pops in addition the the tan colored arm tassels and the red hair.

Wrestlemania Bret

i owned the DM Bret in my last collection and i really enjoyed that bret figure, but to me the iconic bret is bret with black top and pink tights, so here we are! i like this figure much more than the WCW 2 pack bret because i just dont like the hue of the WCW brets tights; but i hate both of the figures' headsculpts lol i wish they could come up with something to capture bret's likeness because all of their offerings suck. when i got this figure i felt like something was off with it.....but i couldnt figure it out.....elbow pads! i grabbed a loose pair on ebay and gave them to this bret-looks a million better.
i got this figure in a bundle package with the wrestlemania HBK figure, both were advertised as being MOC, BUT when i received them they had clearly been removed from box, used, and returned to the boxes. this bret basically cost me $45 MOC



Hof Hulk Hogan

by the time i had started selling off my second collection, Hogan was being signed and added to the mattel line, so i unfortunately missed out on all of his elites. there is NO WAY im going anywhere near the prices people ask for the DM Hogan, so i have always been on the hunt for others like this HoF Hulkster. this Hogan was a must have IMO, because its the infamous Bash at the Beach Third Man Hulk. i like this hogan figure alot because he most definitely slimmed down during this period and this figure captures that look perfectly and in addition i think the headsculpt works and looks great for this figure. my only complaint is the weight belt; i hate the design they went with-having the pegs just be exposed as such and no molded belt buckle or clean looking closure method.



Colonel Mustafa

last figure to share today is Sheiky Baby as the much hated Colonel Mustafa. i LOVE this figure so freaking much. to be candid im a big fan of the absolute legend that is the Iron Shiek as it is, but this figure is just really well done. i love the pants mold that they used for this figure and i believe the singlet is a new mold? the use of the smiling retrofest shiek head works great on this figure and i love the beret accessory. the JACKET should have been made 1/4" longer so that it would atleast make it to his belt line and cover the singlet beneath, but i must say that i really like the material they used for it and despite the short length it still looks great. i have a pre-order placed with ringside for the soon to be release Slaughter and i cannot wait to re-unite the pair of absolute heels.

i went to my local target today for some random things and swung by the toy aisle to find that they were absolutely stocked to the gills on the new legends figures....i truly didnt see that coming. 2 machos, 1 hall, probably like 8 bam bams and 5 Studds, all for $19.99. its whatever but man do i feel like a jackass for SCRAMBLING and paying more than i needed to...i wonder what happened to all the heenans that were clogging the pegs

Warlord is a great figure -- and I wouldn't have known how short the Mustafa jacket was without your post. We do disagree on that early Elite Andre the Giant though. Everything from the cloths singlet to that terrible wig feels wrong

the Mustafa jacket is a shame; i thought it was just the pose in the box that was lifting the jacket up, but however you pose him theres that stripe of olive green peeking through.

the andre : yeah to be honest the rubber wig reminds me of those old matador hats 😂

E85 Aleister Black

this figure actually shipped for me RIGHT around the time that his release was taking place. im a big fan of Black; i love his move set, look, and unique tattoos. the attire isnt anything THAT spectacular visually, but i do like the textured kneepad and kickpad. realfx was applied cleanly to my figure and all of the tattoos were applied without error. my big complaint with this figure is ofcourse the huge rubber coat entrance gear, but it doesnt affect the figure itself, i just hate rubber clothing accessories as they just look like trash most of the time and take up too much storage space amongst other accessories. i dont have any other Black figures to compare this against, but i like it and would definitely suggest adding it to the collection if you can get one at a fair price.

Fan Takeover Johnny Gargano

i legit only bought this figure because i could get it for prime pricing. its a cool figure; the colors really pop, the realfx on the headsculpt looks pretty good on my figure, we get the johnny wrestling 'look' hands for entrance posing. i dont have too much to comment; i enjoy Johnny Gargano but im not a HUGE fan; falling back to my opening statement on the figure-i only bought it because i could get it for $19.99 free ship. 🤷‍♂️



Prince Pretty Tyler Breeze

i honestly was a huge fan of Prince Pretty in nXt. there was a certain charm to the full sail era of nXt; the fans bought into every gimmick and made every episode and character mean something. Tyler Breeze was MONEY during this era and its a damn shame that he never graced us with an nXt championship run; i seem to remember him being a part of a triple threat nXt championship match that burned the house down.
this figure is honestly perfect, to me. the body formula works perfectly, the sculpted furry boots and entrance vest(although rubber😤) look great. the headsculpt also looks amazing and captures the pompous smirk that Breeze always was shining. we got the fuzzy selfie stick as an accessory--which is perfect. the only gripe i have is that this figure-along with the flashback triple h figures-should have sculpted belts. i really dont like when they just paint on a belt and buckle because, should the figure get worn out you lose that unique characteristic of the attire.

truth be told this is another figure i bought solely based on the fact that i could take advantage of my Prime benefits to acquire it. to be candid, ive never........EEEEEEEEVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRR beeeeeen a fan of Christian Cage. idk he has just never clicked with me as a fan.
all in all this isnt a terrible figure. i cant recall how many christian figures we have gotten, in addition to that i dont know how many we've gotten RECENTLY, but this figure delivers. paint apps on the attire are applied cleanly and the truefx on my figure look really good. not only that but we get the Big Gold packaged with christian, and thats always a treat

Top Picks Rey Mysterio

i had a CRAP ton of Rey Mysterio Ruthless Aggression figures but for some reason i completely passed on all the Rey Mysterio Elite figures. i dunno, none of them really felt like they were 'must haves'. i read alot of reviews on the newer rey mysterio figures being really well done figures and posing and handling well, so i locked in a pre-order with EE for this figure and when it arrived i was not let down.



the figure poses REALLY well, it DOES feel well balanced and just overall 'good' in the hand, plus the black and yellow attire really POPS.
my only complains with the figure is that my particular figure shows paint damage to the yellow question mark design on the tights (straight out of the package) and the eye application makes them SLIGHTLY googly. under bright light you can see a clear difference in skintone from the head to the body. otherwise, all tattoos were applied and look great on the figure and all joints perform as they should.
this is a cool rey, but if youre in the market for a mysterio, i would try and hunt one of the turquoise attire rey's as those look wayy better than this black attire. i am looking to acquire those myself but i picked this one up first because i could get it for retail from EE

some fun figures to share. im gonna go watch some AEW Dark and have some Broken Skulls---frankly try to stay off ebay until payday 😂😂

these figures are GREAT! the APA gimmick was a golden choice for the Acolytes' career after the ministry disbanded. HELL'S HENCHMEN. the idea of just being a monster powerhouse tag team for hire is an awesome idea.
to be real, i would have preferred to see an actual attitude era iteration of the Acolytes rather than the APA first, but atleast it has been rumored that they will be coming to the legends line, so yay! nevertheless, these figures are actually really great for what they are. the included APA office accessories are ACEEEEE. the door especially is super cool. each figure utilizes a different jeans style, and Ron simmons uses the JACKED cena arms and Bradshaw seems to be using the old hillbilly Jim arms. the headsculpts are....damn near perfect for pre-realfx. Ron looks pissed off and Bradshaw looks like Bradshaw; they even sculpted an earring on bradshaw. i remember printing out their "Dont Take This Ass Whipping Personally" logo and tacking that up in my bedroom as a kid *cringe*
all in all these two figures are gonna fall in the 'must have' category. they look great, body recipes are on point, included accessories are over the top, and its probably gonna be the first and only APA figures we see in the line (barring the rumored classic Acolytes in legends)

Dude Love

OWWWWWWW HAVE MERCYYYYYYY

out of the three faces of foley i hate to say that dude love falls in last place, but it was his only elite and my collection couldnt go without. the dude love figure is actually pretty cool for what it is. the shirt is a new mold and the printed designs actually look really crisp and clean. im kinda 'ehh' on the headsculpt because i feel like when you remove the headband and sunglasses the sculpt kinda falls apart but then again its always been difficult for mattel to capture Mick properly.
dont really have too much to add on this figure; the Dude Love character never had many outstanding attires or looks and i feel like this figure captures the essence in the character for being pre realfx.

ive been along on the ride for booker t's entire career. from Harlem Heat with Stevie Ray to G.I.Bro to Booker T WCW Invasion, to king bookah. i can swear that i had a TTL figure of Booker in this exact attire 😂 regardless, this is a great Ruthless Aggression Era Booker T that im really happy to have in the collection. TBH, to me this is a perfect figure. Headsculpt is on point, Attire/body recipe is ALSO on point(booker always wore strapped boots, which this figure features) also he has the open hand "5 time" hand included, and paint apps on the attire are spot on. i cant find any reason to complain about this figure. 10/10 would recommend other collectors buy

Elite 2 Batista

ive always been a huge Batista fan. i owned all of his RA figures and in my second collection i remember owning all of his early elite figures aswell. i was searching ebay by newly listed and saw someone list this figure loose for $30 shipped. i for some reason felt like that was a deal to jump on, so i bought it🤣 this figure is super-duper clean, even the elbow pads still have the complete designs on them. the headscuplt---as emotionless as it comes through, does look great. seeing big dave with so few tattoos is a surreal thing.

ok, so this figure caught me off guard. as far as John Cena is concerned--i feel like i should be a bigger fan of his but im really not 😅 i remember my FIRST TIME seeing John was in a discovery channel special(maybe A&E?) about the UWF; john cena was the Prototype, we got to see a young baby samoa joe and looney lane in the same special, but i distinctly remember them following John as he strolled through a supermarket and filled his cart with various cuts of meats and eggs. i loved the thuganomics/ruthless aggression run in wwe but John really lost me when he seemed to become 'main stream' and was booked like SuperCena. THIS figure hearkens back to that perfect era where John was cool as Fk. Word Life Album had dropped, John was roasting people in promos and his in ring work was a real treat.
i skipped 100% of the John Cena elites because he just wasnt 'my guy' at all, i was a CM Punk guy so Cena did little to nothing for me when he was on screen and during my second collection period i was collecting characters that i would fantasy book in my fed and i didnt have a spot for cena at all.
THIS FIGURE in particular is actually pretty cool; first and foremost i want to complain about the ankles; they're loose as hell and i had an issue keeping this Cena standing upright even for a few minutes for some photos. aesthetically speaking this figure checks all the boxes, light colored jorts, black sports shoes, classic W Word Life shirt and hat, padlock chain AND the Word Life knuckle rings. in addition to that we got a ruthless aggression era Cena headsculpt that is showing contempt and disgust. despite not really giving af about Cena on wwe programming in a long time, i REALLY like this figure. its not a branded era John Cena, its an old school thuganomics Cena and im into that.
i was able to scoop this Cena up on Walmart.com for $19.99 freeshipping

no real theme for these figures other than just digging up major nostalgia for ya boi here. APA was a really fun tag team and gave us some interesting storylines. Dude Love? well you just need all the faces of Foley in the line,so yeah. Booker T? go buy that guy--if you can get a good price on him 😉 Batista is a beast; whether it be Series 2 or Hall of Fame, we got lucky in that we pretty much covered all the looks of the Animal in Elite form. and lastly Jahnn Seena; open you bank account and declare "so, you think youre untouchable" as you prepare to deduct $20 for this awesome figure. even if you have all the Cena figures, i recommend getting this one, its dope.

yeah, not the best execution on the figures themselves but the accessories are awesome. i look forward to their upcoming legends figs. i think they'll be acolytes but i hope they can also revisit these APA figures sometime in the future and improve on them.

i missed booker too since i wasn't collecting at the time. he's on my list but i imagine he will have more figures at some point. 2001 wcw champion/invasion era is the one i want most.

first up; REPRESENTING THE MOTHERLAND :



NIKOLAI VOLKOFF

a weird lead into this one, but when i was a kid i played the game Command and Conquer: Red Alert 2 religiously. this lead me to develop a weird fascination with anything and everything Soviet. later on, i rented the game Legends of Wrestling for the PS2 and that was my first real introduction with Nikolai Volkoff. as a kid i didnt see any of his matches but always read his name and heard OF him. when playing the LoW game, i made a wrestler of myself and i sported attire with the Glorious hammer and sickle and tagged with Volkoff. i owned the Jakks Classic Superstar Volkoff figure which i really enjoyed playing with--alongside the Shiek---we'll get to him....
This Legends figure is very cool! im racking my brain trying to remember if i had the old legends 2 pack volkoff in my last collection---i dont think i did but that figure was the heel version and this appears to be the face version of Nikolai. i really like the jacket; the material is very heavy duty and durable. i like the hat; it fits the figure's head very well. the body recipe doesnt look to have changed--not that it really needed to, my personal figure moves and poses VERY well-no overly loose or tight joints. i think for a guy like nikolai; id like to have gotten the angry head that his previous figure had as a swappable option. we got a nice softgoods jacket, a hat, and an extra pair of hands--but like i said i think that extra head wouldve helped boost this figure a little bit closer to the 'must have' category. all in all it looks great and the realfx is applied awesome, he looks great posed amongst the other superstars of his era.

RETROFESTIRON SHEIK

this sheik figure is one of my top favorites. as a kid, sheik always stood out to me because of his shoes 😅 when i was able to dive deeper on the man's career and who he was as a person i became an ENORMOUS fan. Sheik was one of the all time greatest heels and legit shooter, bubba. one of the craziest stories to me was when Sheik was offered money to break hogan's leg in a match.
the retrofest sheik is probably my favorite sheik figure because he comes with the infamous Persian Clubs. there were MANY old school wrestlers who have been asked about the clubs and they all say that the clubs were legit and for a shoot no one else could do the clubs like sheiky could. the figure looks great in the red trunks and the white robe, i even would say it looks cool in the black robe that the other legends sheik came with. while the headsculpt looks great, i feel kinda ehh on it because i dont think it fits sheik. i think the sculpt looks great on mustafa but not really and old school era sheik. however i also understand that its the retrofest line and and the smiling face works for that. side note--i felt terrible about opening the retrofest figures. the packaging looks so freaking cool, but also hot damn what a pain to open, too lol.

Legends two pack Sheik

i got this sheik in a bundle deal. i owned this figure in my last collection, but for the price i negotiated for the bundle, it was worth the buy. i like the figure alot; for some reason ive always really liked how they designed the Sheik's abdomen--he had that cannonball gut, but there were abs under there. i shudder to think about how many poor sheiks were savagely ripped apart for customs as he was the only character to use that body style.
i got this figure in a bundle-loose with no accessories and minor wear for ~$16



Legends 2 Sheik

this is another figure that i had previously owned, but had no problem re-acquiring it. alot of people didnt care for this attire on sheik but in a weird way im so glad they released this attire because it brings me major nostalgia as i remember Sheik's appearance in Smackdown HCTP as a legend character. i ALWAYS added the legends to the story mode and they were somewhat overpowered and so i remember one playthrough where sheiky scaled the ranks and was feuding with-and had no problem defeating both Brock and Kurt. i prefer the sheik figures in trunks to this one but-yeah got those nostalgia points.
anyways, i acquired this sheik in the same bundle as the previous Sheik, so i ended up paying ~$18 for this Sheik loose but with all accessories.

i was on the hunt for a more modern looking Rusev, after acquiring his FTiTL elite previously. i liked this figure for his short haired and bearded look, plus i thought the purple and grey color scheme of the attire was cool. its really not TOO much different from his previous figure other than an updated, more evolved look of the character. i will admit though, the trunk do look a little weird on the figure because the hips/waist is so skinny.

i bought this figure because #1 it was the first chase figure that i found in the wild and #2 i wanted the new IC title for the collection. i just feel like they miss the mark ever so slightly when capturing shinsuke. his earlier elites look pretty good but (i havent received mine yet 😉)
i picked up this figure for $17 at my local walmart.

so im finally getting pretty dang close to having shared all of my acquisitions for my THIRD wrestling collection, a few batches of backlog purchases to share and then we'll all be buying the newest stuff together 😎

[Deep Figure Value]

Great gets. I love those Sheiky figures. He's an all time favorite of mine, and I was lucky enough to land the L2 Sheik a couple of years ago when my brother found one at a toy show for $10 for me. I love the attire in particular because it's a match for the LJN...I have him posed exactly like the LJN for that reason.

For my money, the best Shinsuke heads came with the UE figure. A lot of people slept on that one, but they nailed his expressions there.

Man -- those Rusev and Nakamuras are really bad. But the first two Sheikhs are great -- the Retrofest is as good as the one with the headdress.

okay, i know im reaching here but it works, lol.

just to kindof share a little bit of scuttle; today my package locker was filled up as a few new purchases came in that i was anticipating. kindof a BUNK day though; my elite 86 Triple H pre-order finally came in and(first world problems) they sent me the chase figure......which ive already bought--i wanted the purple tights....sooo that guy is gonna be listed for sale. and my elite 88 Rey Mysterio came in from Ringside.....but the Rey they picked out for my order.....ummmmm the legs are an absolute mess. there are green/brown splotches all over the legs and the the middle wing design on both legs are totally destroyed. not only that but the upper wing design on the left side of his trunks was printed totally off center and yeah--ive contacted Ringside with photos hoping for some sort of a happy ending because im pretty miffed.

Basic Kaitlyn

sooooo with this figure im currently 0-2 on Kaitlyn figures. my first one came in and was beheaded during shipping, and this one featured MUCH more damage than the auction listing shared. it looks like someone's puppy or kitten sunk their teeth into poor Kaity's head and there are two deep indents in each side of her head. the figure was cheap enough, so i didnt make a stick, but---womp womp. its the same figure as her previous basic that i reviewed, except her top is in black and gold instead of brown.



E86 Carmella

only reason i scooped this figure up was because i saw it locally at my walmart. its a pretty good figure; the headsculpt looks really good(ive seen some bad Mella headsculpts out there) we got some softgoods pants with the figure which are always cool. i personally liked her Jumper attires and would have preferred to see an elite version of that look. i feel like the printing of the logo on the top couldve been placed higher as it loses its readability in its current location on the figure. all in all this is a cool figure-but frankly not a MUST HAVE.

E65 Nia Jax

i remember when Nia made her debut; certainly wasnt a fan of her work or character per se, but i thought her look was unique. her attire reminded me of the old Saiyan armor--she really gave me Freiza vibes as far as being this monster heel and her look. this figure is cool in its level of uniqueness. (as i understand) her torso and legs are all completely unique sculpts, and the THREE RealFX heads looks pretty damn good. that being said, its a shame that Nia never was able to get things figured out because despite all of our preconceived notions she had potential to be something unique.

Basic Alexa Bliss

so i HAD to have this classic nXt Alexa to go in with the rest of the roster that ive accumulated. the headsculpt is good---it is reminiscent of my previously reviewed Survivor Series Bliss, but yet not quite as good as that headsculpt--it may even be the same but the SS has better paint apps? ANYWAYS the attire on this figure looks great! the red and white really pops, and it instantly brings up memories of her hitting the Sparkle Splash on Blake & Murphy's opponents. i dont really have any complaints with this figure other than the face not being quite there, but im gonna chalk that up to factory paint apps.

E77 Miss Elizabeth

this was one of those figures i bought because it was such a great deal, IMO. this figure looks great! we got a nice softgoods dress and the realfx on my figure looks really, really good. this figure looks really cool when posed next to the new chase legends Macho Man!

E81 Mae Young

so.....this is another one of those 'deals i couldnt pass up' 😵 but honestly, this figure went above my expectations and it really is a cool figure. firstly, the headsculpt and realfx apps looks GREAT!!! the resemblance to Mae is uncanny. i like that they included her tattoos--im sure only a few people knew that she even had them---she was an old school badass. im not positive but i feel like her body recipe is unique. +1 for the softgoods jacket-it looks great and fits the figure well. the only "issue" i have with this figure is frankly the era that it depicts? im not sure weve gotten any other womens wrestlers from that far back. even male talent, who would be from that far back; Bruno?
all in all---despite never ever wanting or needing a Mae Young figure, im kinda glad i have this one because it turned out to be really cool.

The Miss Elizabeth and Mae Young are great figures -- esp. Miss Elizabeth. If I collected Elites, both would be must haves.

I agree with your comment about the 'Mella shirt. I feel the wording would have been better off (and more accurate) if it was higher. I also display mine without pants.

I have that Liz as well and, while I had originally gotten her for a custom, I decided to keep her as is.

I'm not sure what era the Mae is from. Someone once said Attitude Era but she looks a bit too young for that. And as for how far back she goes, she supposedly started her career in 1939... when Bruno was four years old!
