1. Scale - Dustin, Moxley and Series 5 Hangman too tall a Cody being to small.
2. Arm Molds - They’re to cylinder looking and not muscular enough.
3. Poor Head Sculpts - Especially for Pac. I was really hoping we would see an updated Pac yesterday.
4. Poor Distribution - This should probably be number one. I put this entirely on Jeremy with his love affair to the secondary market. He underproduced the line to generate a “buzz” Yet is full in on chase figures. You want chase figures fine. But his business practice makes every figure a chase because WalMarts and Targets around here get an initial shipment of one or two cases and then the pegs are empty for months at a time. How about making enough product to actually have on the pegs?

I'm a MOC collector so a lot of the issues mentioned here don't really effect me but my biggest issues are
1. Skin tones - I've noticed a few figures have really bad skin matching with the upper torso and lower torso. It's really noticeable on Unrivaled Series 4 Santana and if you look long enough it's kind of noticeable on the Kenny Omega too. It's not that bad but the more I look through my collection the more I spot it. The two I mentioned are the most noticeable.
2. The Box quality - The boxes are too flimsy, they look really nice but I'm kinda sick of ordering figures and paying extra to get them shipped in protectors for them to still arrive with creases in the cardboard (especially the little cardboard bridge below the AEW logo and above the plastic window.) I think they tried to rectify this issue because after series 1 they started to glue the cardboard to the plastic a little more but it still happens. I don't blame Ringside for this either, if they pulled every figure with this issue then they'd hardly have any stock!
3.Lazy Exclusives - Every Ringside Exclusive so far has been a re-paint from a figure that was recently released previously, not a big gripe but I'd be more excited about them if I hadn't only just ordered the figure in a different form.
4.Poor Distribution - I'm in the UK and getting these figures in retail is pretty impossible (for a complete collector). The UK have only just started getting series 4 in store (via Smyths) and for some reason 0 Cody Rhodes are available and only a very limited amount of Kenny Omegas are available. They'll be here at a later date but It still sucks. I started importing my stuff from Ringside after Series 2 when my Series 3 pre-order got cancelled by a UK distributor and haven't looked back, they've been a life saver for my collecting needs. I wish I started using them years ago.

I’m concerned we’re never going to get the legends that have been discussed for what seems like an eternity now....when are some of these going to materialize? ....The new Sting figure is a start even though it’s a current version of him....I’ve been hoping they’ll be worked into the new series even if it’s one in each ....when are the legends going to become a priority?

Entertainer also has them (not sure if all stores or online but the Kidderminster store which is pretty small had both bucks, Orange and a couple of Cody’s yesterday) |

The early skin tone wasn't great, but since they've fixed it that's not really an issue for me anymore. I've noticed some issues with paint wear on my figures, and I'm not huge on some of the face scans they've made. However, being able to swap heads on every figure means you've got different options (as long as you have the correct skin tones) and being able to swap entire torsos is really cool IMO.
I've also seen some misprinted face paint apps, that's down to the digital screen thing they're doing. We've seen Mattel figures suffer the same thing, I wish this entire process was a little more consistent.
Honestly, the only actual "swing and a miss" to me is Orange Cassidy. The engineering is decent for his hands-in-pockets pose, but the rubber pants overlay makes his leg articulation useless.
Overall, though, I like the line. I'm not a huge AEW guy so I pick and choose, but I enjoy the figures I own, and the fact that they fit in with Elites, Super 7, etc makes it even more accessible to a casual fan like me.

Well that completely blows Maybe for you Well with all do respect it’s all a matter of personal preference, everyone’s different & wants different things & I respect that....now for me personally I don’t watch the current day “wrestling” I’m not a fan of it.....it doesn’t matter to me if Larry come lately or Nancy newcomer get made or not....give me someone who’s stood the test of time....give me someone who’s name is worth mentioning....give me legends....not starting an argument or a war here, like I said I respect the differences in people’s opinions & I’d appreciate the same in return....I simply stated the opinion that I’m entitled too like everyone else here also does |

My local walmart has been out of stock of these figures so long i just gave up and ordered series 4 and 5 off of ebay and rsc.
So my biggest gripe is empty pegs and walmart, and the 1 peg that target gives them sure does not help.

I never said it should cater to only me & others with my opinion....truth is it’s really not about who watches it these days & who doesn’t, that’s beside the point....there’s a wide, diverse range of ages that collect wrestling figures so naturally not everyone is going to always agree on what should be made....my point here is that it would be proper if the company that produces these would acknowledge every age group/generation & make a little more effort to fill gaps in everyone’s collection ....Why not put a legends figure in every other series? .... I don’t believe that’s asking too much.....everyone’s different so some opinions will also differ....respect that & give peace a chance ✌️ |
