I mean yeah that one was bad but it was just a sex tape. She did a few wrestling related professional porn videos years later. Those doomed her at the time. Sunny made a porn wearing her HOF ring and is welcomed back with open arms. Sunny hasn’t been on wwe tv since and doesn’t have a legends deal or figure?

That is why you can truly say never say never. Not EVERY instance. Certain people will ever be a hard no from WWE and Mattel. Case in point here....Owen Hart & Chris Benoit

Kind’ve ridiculous WWE and Mattel never bothered to give Chyna recognition until she died! I understand everyone’s opinion of her choices of entertainment after wrestling is going to be different. I personally did not think anything of it other than what it was....grown woman doing what she wanted. What pisses me off about it now though is WWE is profiting off her name/character with merchandise (like figures) but they refused to do anything while she was alive! Makes me sick! Loved the last two figures though! There’s been “superstars” that have done a lot worse in my opinion....Jimmy Snuka for example. What was Mattel supposed to do?

Sunny made a porn wearing her HOF ring and is welcomed back with open arms. When did they welcome her back? I believe her last appearance was in 2011 and then she started consistently getting into legal trouble since 2012. The adult film was in 2016.
I think if Sunny cleans up her act that she could possibly return one day for some type of participation (rumble, network, etc.). With her legal troubles still occurring through last year, I doubt that will be anytime soon. She'll most likely be the subject of the Dark Side of the Ring though if she keeps heading in the same direction.
I think the same would apply to Chyna (being welcomed back) if she didn't pass away and she cleaned herself up completely/stopped hanging around with shady people that were using her. The adult movies played a big part, but I think people overlook that she was considered a liability because she would randomly bash the company, show up unannounced to HQ when she didn't have meetings scheduled (with her film crew), post videos of where many assumed that she was on something/not in the best mental health. On top of that, she accused Triple H of abusing her less than a year before she passed away and tried to confront him at Piper's funeral.
I don't agree with how WWE/Vince/Steph/HHH and the rest of the people behind the scenes treated her on her way out, but I don't think anyone here can really blame WWE for not bringing her back when all of this was going on. I doubt many people on here would hire a former employee back if they kept talking negatively about their company, daughter and son-in-law (even if it was true).
Unfortunately, some of these past wrestlers are only going to be signed to Legends deals after they pass away if they aren't able to clean up their act (Marty Jannetty is another one that comes to mind).

At this point the only one I could say they'd never do with certainty is Benoit.

I think it’s safe to say had she not died, Chyna still would be on the no fly list. She made a porn in which she banged actors playing Vince and Steph. Haha I need to check this out hahaha

Has no one mentioned Sting yet? He was in TNA around the time Mattel got the license, and he had never been in WWF/WWE and it looked like he never would be. Then we got him! That one is probably the most significant unlikely-to-made we'll ever get (though Owen would be a contender).
You could also say Hulk Hogan getting his second run with Mattel is mildly unexpected.

A little off topic but remember when MDT told us that the Mattycollector Andre was the only Andre figure Mattel would ever release? Don't miss out this is your only chance they said😂 Now that's marketing. Elite 29 came out what 2 years later?

Steve has said there’s only 1 figure that will never happen. He didn’t specify who but we know who he was talking about. Jumpin’ Jim Brunzell.

Interesting topic, but I think in the moment, what Bill stated was absolutely fact.
None of us questioned for a second that a toy company would be in a position to make a action figure of a porn star. Her passing has changed the focus of her life, it just has... we now focus on the “good” (by accepted standards) parts of her life, and that means we can celebrate it, cause we don’t speak I’ll of those who have passed.
I believe when Bill stated the Razor stuff, there was a lot of news and chatter about him ending someone life. I don’t remember the whole story, but think it was due to self defence or something. Again, time has passed and while Hall is still with us (thankfully), time has passed and his career in the ring is celebrated again.
I honestly believe the only person off the table completely at this point is Benoit... and rightly so in my book.
(They have made everyone who has wronged WWF and McMahon, he’ll we go Savage for crying out loud - look that one up lol)

Not EVERY instance. Certain people will ever be a hard no from WWE and Mattel. Case in point here....Owen Hart & Chris Benoit Owen is a hard no because Martha won't deal with WWE, so technically not an issue on WWE/Mattel's end. He's had other recent figures, and I think there's a fair likelihood that we'll be seeing him in a 6in scale before too long.

Bagwell 😢 I don’t think they ever said they wouldn’t make him but sadly they won’t and I’m pretty sure the McMahon’s hate him

Mattel needs to push back against WWE and let Mattel sign there own wrestlers to deals. It would be in their own interest to make more money. There are very, very few marketable wrestling legends that don’t have a Mattel WWE figure. Mattel signing random obscure 70s/80s wrestlers (who nobody who buys toys remembers except for a few dozen people on Wfigs) is not going to make millions. Ultimate Warrior’s 300th figure will always outsell Ted Arcidi’s first figure. Outside of maybe Scott Steiner, I can’t think of many “first time in the line” names left who would be a big enough seller to justify the outlay. If an old wrestler hasn’t had a WWE legends deal at any point in the last 11 years, there’s probably a good reason for it.

Navigating the reasons why some legends have yet to see a figure is going to choppier waters than these.
