Some people need hobbies outside pro wrestling. Hopefully some of these feuds continue from here. I need more Sami/Owens, Bianca/Sasha, and Edge/Bryan. I think we will get a fair amount of rematches since they added that Wrestlemania part to the Backlash name.

Outside of Bayley not making the card, I think the next biggest omission from this show was Shinsuke. No matter how you feel about the guys recent ring work, there’s no denying he’s a known name for them and it was disappointing he didn’t make the show. He has to be up there with the names that had the quickest drop off over a few years. Not sure where they could have slotted him but with two nights to work with surely they could have thought of something.
WM34 - lost WWE Title match to AJ Styles WM35 - lost fatal 4 way tag match for the Smackdown tag titles WM36 - ringside for Zayn vs Bryan WM37 - does not make main show/looses Andre Battle Royal that was held on Smackdown
Roode and Ziggler are the other two guys I think stood out as omissions but not as big as Shinsuke. Sad how they have literally nothing for him.

If you are a person that believes the dirts, the women’s tag turmoil was suppose to be a preshow battle Royal on night 1 where the winners fought Shayna and Nia night two and the tag titles four way was suppose to be on the main card, The Dre was suppose to be on the preshow night two. Then they made the decision to not have matches on the preshow so the big stars got the first entrances on both nights.

Two days ago I was fully expecting Night 2 to be the better night of wrestling at this years Wrestlemania. Now that all is said and done I can confidently say I enjoyed Night 1 more - which I think is mostly attributed to it being the "feel good" event of the two nights. That said, Night 2 was still heavily entertaining despite it being strangely heel heavy.
The opening match with Orton and The Fiend was solid for getting fans pumped up for the show but fell a bit flat having The Fiend lose abruptly to a single RKO after no selling most of Orton's offence throughout the match. Also not loving the return of the red lighting. I am curious to see where the Alexa/Fiend relationship goes from here.
The Women's Tag Team Championship match was better than I expected it to be. Even so, it was still the low point in terms of match quality for Night 2. I'm glad Nia and Baszler held onto the belts. They've been booked well as a team so it will be a big deal (hopefully) when a more established team dethrones them in the future.
It was really cool seeing Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn work a match against each other at Wrestlemania given their history. Despite the Logan Paul involvement this match was a lot of fun. Glad to see these guys still have incredible chemistry together. If anything I wish it could have gone about five minutes longer as it felt slightly rushed. I'll give kudos to Logan Paul for taking the stunner at the end. Owens is the sole face win of the evening.
Speaking of chemistry, Sheamus and Riddle are two heavy hitters that feed off of each other incredibly well. I was hoping Riddle would win since I feel he has more to gain by holding onto the US title with a win over a former world champion in Sheamus. However, I had a feeling given Sheamus' recent losses to Drew that this might be his consolation prize. I'm hoping these two continue to feud over the championship. I'd love for new blood like Damian Priest to enter the fold here as well.
I was genuinely surprised by the screw job finish of Crews vs. Big E. The match itself was fun and hard hitting, though I feel like it could have just been billed as a No DQ match. I'm liking Crews in his new heel persona and look forward to seeing how his reign as Intercontinental Champion plays out, especially now that he has some muscle in his corner. It would be nice to see Big E move up to the main event as he would make for a fresh and intriguing challenger to Roman Reigns.
Asuka vs. Rhea Ripley was as good as I hoped it would be. I'm a big fan of both women and I was very much looking forward to seeing how they gelled together in the ring. They didn't disappoint. Rhea came out of this looking like a star and thankfully was redeemed from dropping the NXT Championship to Charlotte last year. Speaking of which, it seems likely that feud will be revisited in the near future. Hoping Rhea has a lengthy run with the title. Also hoping WWE in general can bolster the Raw and Smackdown women's divisions to freshen things up now that Bianca and Rhea are holding the top belts.
The main event of Night 2 was no doubt match of the night. Edge, Bryan, and Reigns performed the hell out of this and made the match very entertaining and unpredictable throughout. Reigns winning by pinning both challengers made for a fantastic visual. He's on an absolute roll as a heel and because of that I'm not upset he won. I'd still like to see a one-on-one match between Reigns and Edge in the future (hopefully at Backlash). I doubt Reigns will hold the belt for 2+ years leading into his eventual match with The Rock, but I do think he'll be champion until at least SummerSlam. I just wonder who will ultimately defeat him. I'd love to see Keith Lee move over to Smackdown and get that level of push once he gets the all clear.

I think I am the only one who thinks Bianca doesn't deserve anything. From her silly ass holding her hair every single time she does something, I get it, it's SUPER long to the point it looks dumb and it's fake as hell, to her twerking and with her looking like she was going to cry every single time she did something. It turned me off on her big time. And I know it's Wrestlemania, it's the biggest show and your the mid show "main event", sorry, the last match of the whole thing is the real main event, so I'm sure there are butterflies and excitement and whatnot, but dammit, keep your emotions under control. It didn't give the match that "big time" feeling with her near tears and I'll give all the praise to Sasha in that match because she made Bianca look good. I'm completely with you as I'm not a belair fan at all but still better than sasha who I've never liked. I saw a gif of her stupid overblown reactions and it put me off. It's not all her fault though, it's cookie cutter wwe training now. What they fail to realise is virtually no big finishing moves actually end matches anymore and all the stupid oh my god, hands on your head, looking to the sky reactions just make it look more ridiculous each time they do them. For me it just emphasises tge feeling that they aren't good enough to win convincingly not that it's amazing that the other person kicked out. Glad people enjoyed mania though as it's needed at this point. Just not for me

Regardless of how it went down I think they could have found a way to squeeze a Nakamura/Jay Uso match onto one of the nights. Both guys have been doing solid work lately that I think they deserved a chance to work Wrestlemania. Could have used it as a way to possibly build Nakamura as a challenger to Roman at one of the upcoming B-PPVs to kill a month or two until SummerSlam.

A busted lip caused the ref to shake nattys wrist uncontrollably? Also the female ref was so staged ready for the Logan Paul stunner. These current refs have no composure or improvisational skills. They want to be stars too. They overact too much. Edwards in AEW is leading this foolishness.

It didn't give the match that "big time" feeling with her near tears and I'll give all the praise to Sasha in that match because she made Bianca look good. Other than that. I thought it was a solid show both nights. Sure the Fiend match was too short but it looked great. Bobby winning was really awesome, I'm glad they are keeping the belt on him. Nia needs to not call spots THAT loudly in the ring lol, the triple threat was very good. I give it a solid 8 out of 10. You are. Bianca is not an indie darling. She is not from a wrestling background. She did not start this when she was a teenager. She started this 5 years ago today and has become one of the best female wrestlers there is. If that's not deserving, than I don't know what is. The amount of work she put in to become as good as she is takes most wrestlers double that amount of time. How on earth does someone becoming emotional over winning the title in the main event of a PPV make you this mad? That's how it should be. You're a woman in a company that for the better part of it's existence has treated women like eye candy, sex objects, and like they don't matter. Now you're standing there at the biggest PPV of all in front of a crowd for the first time in a year and you expect her not to be emotional? The added emotion she showed made the match feel important. The more the wrestlers feel that their match is important, the more the audience will as well. Wrestlemania is one event as a whole, however, there are two nights of the PPV that are completely different from one another. There is a main event for both nights as that's the match that's closing the event. Wrestlemania did not end on Saturday and then they just pick it up the next night as a continuation. It's treated as a separate event. How that's so hard for people to grasp is beyond me but go off Every freaking thing you said in your "statement" is exactly why Belair does not deserve what she is getting. I expect her to be a professional. I expect her to conduct herself, and everyone else like one. But sorry for having an opinion that isn't like yours. I guess I should go to a message board and state my opinion....oh...wait.

If Bianca getting choked up is a deal breaker someone should probably go tell Dustin Rhodes he's fired for getting choked up at a 'Dusty' chant.

I loved it when Stone Cold cried while starting his match with HBK at WM14, or Taker crying when he beat Edge at WM24...oh wait...
I don’t understand why people get so up in arms if someone isnt a fan of things like this. Again, it’s all subjective, but personally I think Bianca was a tad over the top with the crying before the match started and during it (afterwards I get it).

I’ve been a massive Fiend fan since the inception of the character. I’ve ignored and often rolled my eyes at others saying it was time to “kill off” or “shelf” the character over the last few months and firmly believed Wyatt had created something complex and multi-layered enough that could survive and thrive for years in WWE. The addition of Bliss, who phenomenally sunk into her role as the twisted playmate of the creature seemed like it was only going to elevate and breathe new life into the Fiend.
I had chills for the first time in a long time watching Fiend’s entrance last night. Felt like a kid again watching one of those bone-chilling Taker/Kane entrances after a long absence.
Aaaaand about 10-15 minutes later I watched in awe as Fiend, against all logical odds, was made to look like a complete stooge yet again and I had a terrible realization that I had in fact been wrong this entire time.
I ended up finding an article from Bleacher Report (I think) that sums up my feelings perfectly about the situation -
Last night was the coup de grace for the Fiend. No way back now.

If Bianca getting choked up is a deal breaker someone should probably go tell Dustin Rhodes he's fired for getting choked up at a 'Dusty' chant. Very different things. I’m not even so opposed to Bianca getting choked up as much as seeing Sasha join in and smile. If it was a “let’s show them what we can do match”, sure it makes sense. Friendly competition between friends. But this was a feud, they disliked each other. It has no place. It pulls back the curtain and breaks the illusion. If the WALKERS in Walking Dead just stop mid attack and cry because they are so happy to be on the show, it would break the entire illusion. This is no different. Dusty IS Dustins Father even on tv, it’s recognized as part of his on screen character. Same with Eddie & Benoit, their on screen characters like each other...Shawn Michaels DID want to win the WWF Championship, that’s all part of Tv. Sasha and Bianca do not like each other on tv, yet they acted like they do behind the curtain. Very different things How long have some of you been watching wrestling? Couple weeks?

I guess folks on her are becoming selectively blind again. I don’t have a problem if a performer cries after a match. But when they are doing it during their entrance, throughout the match, and afterwards, it gets a bit to much.
HBK, Benoit, and Eddie didn’t come down to the ring crying before the bell even rang. They were in blood feuds and played the determined role until finally getting the win. Bianca and Sasha are suppose to hate each other yet Bianca is crying before the match starts despite the build saying her and Sasha should have been determined to best the other.

Yeah it did pull back the curtain, and that was a good thing imo. It was two black women headlining the night, that's a moment to pull back the curtain and embrace it, then once that moments done, lock up and go. Which, is exactly what they did. Exactly like when Dustin and Cody got choked up at the dusty chant. They embraced the moment, then locked up and went. But thanks for the ridiculously condescending end to your post, that was cool. 28 years, btw.
