I’m with ya definitely a blow. But I’m going to trust AFA from Mattel. He said we would be very happy with our Hogan collection this year. I’m thinking they have bigger plans for Hulk. If we really are getting 2 more Ultimates this year and not have him be a store exclusive than I’m happy. I could be wrong, but didn’t somebody say the same about sting when people wanted surfer stings? Mattel always drops the ball by putting off attires people really want while they throw out numerous of repainted attires nobody really wants. Yep... and not to mention 95% of Mattel’s Stings had random part choices that didn’t even suit him. All I want in this Legends line is a ponytail Luger and a jeans DDP. After that, I’d be okay with anything else they give us.

That's just it, I like the Cena figure but I have no interest in buying it or any other figure once I saw Wrestlemania 8 Hogan wasn't in the line. i wouldn’t pass up a whole wave you wanted just because the hogan rumor wasn’t true. I have a hard time supporting a company when they don't listen to their consumers. If we get more Hogan's announced soon I will change my mind. Futhermore, I like to buy multiple figures because I'm a mint box collector as well and the legend series has better art on the packaging while the ultimates are kinda bland. I don't mean to rub people the wrong way, I'm just a fan like all of you but I just don't understand why Wrestlemania 8 Hogan was left ouf of legends 10.

If you’re depending on Mattel to listen to it’s customers, you might as well give up collecting and head on over to Jazwares/AEW

Friend, I also collect legends lol, the thing I'm most excited about right now that isn't AEW is Invasion DDP Yeah, but every time somebody talks about legends you call them a boomer. Really don’t see the reasoning for that. It’s just banter, Maggle!

It’s hard for me to be disappointed by a placeholder name because it was never guaranteed to begin with. I have no doubts that Hogan will be represented over the next year or two in other lines, and honestly it’s probably for the best that a Target exclusive line isn’t one of them. I would much rather Amazon get it as an Ultimate or see it included as a mainline Elite somewhere down the road. I should point out though that I’m not in need of more Hogans and wouldn’t be particularly upset if Mattel concentrated their efforts elsewhere.

Why did Mattel do this to Hogan fans I hope that you’re either very young or that you were drunk when you posted this, because there’s absolutely no need for this ridiculousness. A figure you want not being in a series that you wanted it to be in is not some kind of attack. That said, if Paul Heyman with a giant mobile phone isnt in Legends 11, I’m boycotting both WWE and Mattel for life.

Toy collectors are the most ridiculous people. “Mattel doesn’t listen to the customers.” We literally have Mattel employees to interact with and to ask whatever we want. Granted you crybabies bullied one into leaving. Legend collectors constantly complaining despite the insane amount of legends figures we’ve gotten. Blaming Mattel for distribution despite it being on the stores, who are paying to have these series exclusive to them. They didn’t need to bring back the Legends line. Complaining they aren’t making people who aren’t even signed. I mean, we get a hell of a lot of Warriors, and we will probably get as many Hogans, but lose your damn minds because they aren’t the Warriors or Hogans you want. Just constant bitching. Haha

Haha Devil's advocate for a moment... 1) I would hardly call Bill's departure "bullying". It was maybe crossing a line to question his effort as the OP in that post did, but someone in his position should have thicker skin tbh. All moot at this point though as AFA has taken over the role. 2) Mattel didn't bring back the Legends line as some thank you gesture... it was done so because it financially and strategically made sense to do so at this point. If and when they stop hitting their profit margins on them, they'll cancel it. 3) I do agree that the "distribution" card gets overplayed. Especially with the original Legends line. Yes they were overproduced... but Mattel has a knack for kicking off inaugural lines with TERRIBLE choices. They've had several lines launch DOA because of their lineup choices. 4) Mattel does give us a lot. But man they up a lot too. Inexcusable ups too. Undertaker and Kane's laced boots. Wrong hair colors (in spite of the artwork on the package being correct). Shawn Michaels face sculpts (all trash except WM 14). Terrible choices for Fan Takeover voting. The aforementioned inaugural lines kicking off with lackluster lineups. Dropping the ball on getting necessary figures out (no Team Xtreme Hardys, no Attitude Dudleys, poor execution on Sting, getting American Made Hogan before Hollywood, etc). Failing again at an Elite scale ring. Etc. 5) It's a forum. Bitching is part of the process. And honestly, I'd take the bitching over the apologists who attempt to defend the inexcusable from Mattel. I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for sharing this, Steve. Its so rare to see you in a thread outside the q&a! Waiting anxiously for any Hogan wm1 through wm8. Barring any unforeseen holds,I hope the figures will be mega and fool pitying. I think people get nervous since contracts end unexpectedly these days (hogan last time and sting recently). Can't wait brotherrrrr!

Hopefully we’ll get a Hogan in legends packaging at some point. I do agree that this is the best packaging so fingers crossed!
Sounds like Legends is doing well so hopefully there will be many more waves with some big names. I’d love to see a Macho Man, Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, Andre and HBK in Legends packaging too. We’ve never had a Legends Bret or HBK.

Thing is, it wasn’t officially confirmed anywhere, right? Never get your hopes up for figures until they official for on sale. All the other leaks were correct. Why did Mattel do this to Hogan fans when there are so many of us and his figures sell so well. At this point I can't even get excited for the Vader and Beefcake figures. how do you know he was part of the series to begin with? Did Bill tell you himself?

There’s a saying I’ve heard about wrestling fans, I’m sure some of you know it. “No one hates wrestling more then wrestling fans”... It would appear, that at times the same can be said for us collectors, “no hates Mattel figures more then Mattel collectors”.

Hogan was never confirmed for Legends Series 10. It was just rumors and speculation. So why would you be upset that a rumor wasn’t true? Hell, someone could post tomorrow Series 11 will be Dynamite Kid, the Steiner Brothers and Nikita Koloff but as awesome as that would be until Mattel confirms it I am not going to believe it. Hopefully we’ll get a Hogan in legends packaging at some point. I do agree that this is the best packaging so fingers crossed! Were you really so hung up on the rumor that Hogan would be in the set that it killed the prospect of you buying any of the other figures?
LOL

Hogan is coming. Be patient and grateful that -
A.) we have Hogan on the table again for any future lineups B.) we have a great selection of figures coming up that aren’t Hogan (that Vader is a work of art)
Just because he’s not in Legends 10 (which was never 100% confirmed) doesn’t mean he’s not included somewhere else.
