I am going to play another rebooking game of the Royal Rumble, the first Rebooking of the Royal Rumble will be from January 1988 to January 1993. So here we go.

January 24, 1988 - Royal Rumble
instead of 20 participants, let's have 30 participants, and we will have Andre vs Hogan for the title in that event as well. We will not do the title shot at WrestleMania 4, we'll do it for 1990.

Royal Rumble 1988 Rebooked Results
Rick Rude D. Paul Orndorff at 9:03 with the Rude Awakening, wanted to keep Orndorff in 1988 to continue his feud with Rude.
Brutus Beefcake D. Danny Davis at 5:21 with the Sleeper Hold
Strike Force D. The Hart Foundation at 19:46 to retain the WWF Tag Team Championship in a 2 out of 3 Falls Match.
Andre The Giant D. Hulk Hogan at 8:21 to regain the WWF Championship, same happens in real life with Andre giving the belt to Dibiase. Tunney does not vacate the WWF Championship after this, with a bribe. Dibiase is given the championship, he still continues to compete in the Royal Rumble Match alongside Andre and Hogan.
Randy Savage won the 30-Man Royal Rumble by last eliminating One Man Gang at 1:03:48 as he entered at #6.

After Savage wins the Rumble and captures the WWF Championship over Dibiase at WrestleMania 4 and we get the Mega Powers union from 1988 all the way to 1989. Ric Flair departs NWA and decides to head for the World Wrestling Federation.

And so, Ultimate Warrior wins the Royal Rumble and faces Hulk Hogan for the title in the ultimate challenge in where The Warrior successfully wins the WWF Championship and vacates the Intercontinental Championship just like in real life. And spends most of 1990 successfully defending the WWF Championship against Mr. Perfect, Ted Dibiase, Rick Rude, Dino Bravo, Earthquake and others.

And that leads to the WrestleMania 6 rematch between Hogan vs Warrior for the WWF Championship with Warrior still shockingly enough beating Hogan for the second time at WrestleMania and retaining his title, Warrior will hold on to the WWF Championship until 1991 Summerslam when he drops the title to The Undertaker, Taker holds on to the title and will drop the belt at Tuesday in Texas to Hogan. Tunney does not strip Hogan of the title, there's no intereference, no urn and ashes. Taker loses cleanly!. Hogan will defend the title against Undertaker in a rematch at the 1992 Royal Rumble.

So Ric Flair does not win the WWF Championship in real life, he still wins the Rumble in real life but is named the #1 Contender for the WWF Title at WrestleMania 8 and beats Hogan fair and square cleanly and hangs on to the title until the 1993 Royal Rumble.

I love your heavy focus on Million Dollar Man. He is one of my favorites of that era who never really got the hype and respect he deserved. The idea of him Main Eventing Mania is pretty cool to me.

I'd keep '88 the same. My first actual change of that card would be moving the tag team match to the second match on the show, then the Women's Tag Titles, and have the Royal Rumble main event the show it's named for.
