January 2021 Review

Jake The Snake Roberts Microbrawler is great with the new packaging. Would have been fun to get the chase but to echo others I’m happier with the blue and think it’ll pop more in my display.

Microbrawler sticker, will come in handy for a more professional display in the future once I get some more.

Two average Tshirts. The quality of the shirts is good I just don’t think the graphics or superstar are worth writing home over. Glad to get a blue shirt, instead of 2 blacks.

I’m not a comic book guy, I plan on accumulating a bunch to sell eventually. Would take another sticker or patch over the comic.

The HotRod ball is cool and something different to throw on a shelf or book case.

The RVD pin is just another for the collection not a stand out.

IRS autograph is cool, again may either save and flip as a Lot or make a album of them.

Not going to give a monthly grade to the crate. I’m happy with it and will continue my subscription. Like I’ve always said 2 shirts and a Microbrawler are worth the price alone.

My only complaint, and I use that term loosely, is that i feel like the autograph quality has gone down a bit. At one point they included all time greats and current top names - Harley, Kane, KO, Adam Cole. I really liked Luger. But it would be nice to get tag teams or bigger names every so often again.

I assume the Owen and Okada items are the shirts next month, but I would be over the moon if the microbrawler was Owen but I don’t think it will be. I think Warhorse might be the micro brawler.

PWT did say that there would be more Owen brawlers.  It seems sort of soon, but at the same time, it would totally make sense to strike while the iron is hot.  There's no guarantee Martha wouldn't change her mind on merch down the road.

I renewed my crate subscription just figuring the brawler is Owen based on PWT strongly stating more Owen brawlers were coming. I'd be fine with Neon Macho too. Warhorse would go for sale hope its not him.

Wow, that's amazing. I figured it was coming sooner than later, but this is super exciting. Can't wait to have my first Owen figure in 22 years.

It's not my first choice, but I'm actually ok with Stampede Owen. I've been watching a lot of late 80's Stampede lately.

I’m pretty happy with this. Both colorways are cool, definitely cool to be getting any kind of Owen, and leaves some of the other attires for later releases.

Photo for those curious. I canceled my subscription quite a while ago but feel like this brawler may be hard to find for cheaper than the cost of the actual crate. May consider resigning just for the month. I still stick to my feeling that they should do a tier to just get the brawler for those of us who have no interest in the rest of the crate.

I hope they do a pink singlet owen eventually. This one is neat but it certainly doesnt excite me, reminds me more of bobby eaton

I think I once again prefer the regular to the chase, although not by as much as with Jake...This is what I expected the first Owen brawler to look like.

I'm really hoping that keeps being the case with chase vs regular.  Let the better looking version be widely available, and then if people want to spend crazy money on the other one they can.  I'm sure there will be some months where I prefer the chase, but no complaints so far.

They would never do that just to have a sub for the brawler only. They know the brawler is why most people get the crates.

Just listened to yesterday’s majorpod. Cardona mentions that he received a text from Ryan one night saying the crate was selling so well that as a reward he thought they should add another brawler and one more day to the preorder. If it was really a “reward” it should have been just a surprise when the box arrived and no extra time added to the preorder.

Don’t buy it for a second, the second brawlers plus one extra day drop is a common marketing gimmick used everywhere. It was already planned. In fact if only 500 were sold in the initial publicized opening/closing dates those 500 people should be pissed bc the 1/500 crate just became an unadvertised 1/1100 crate. Is it worth an extra brawler? Maybe. Again I’d like to submit it is my opinion that more than what are preorder are produced for later drops/secret secondary market listings.

They always mention “transparency” on the show. Transparent people don’t mention transparency, it’s a given.

Unfortunately I had to skip the MajorCrate. I’ll probably wind up regretting it once I see what it came with, but just couldn’t swing at at this time.
