I’m a legend collector mainly golden and new gen but for some reason I’ve found myself watching a few modern day YouTube clips of Drew McIntyre. I like his story (how he was rejected but persevered) and his style of wrestling. Not sure if it’s because he’s British (I’m from the UK) but I wouldn’t mind picking up a figure of him in his new entrance gear (Kilt and Sword). It’d make a pretty sweet Ultimate. He seems like he’s got that future Legend vibe too. I guess after Cena, WWE hasn’t had a proper face to the company like they used to in Hogan/Bret/Rock etc. Maybe Orton? Anyway, have any other Legend collectors sometimes picked up some current roster figs? And if so, why?

I'm exclusively Golden era but I had to buy firefly funhouse bray set and fiend. Best of the current product and so unique. Couldn't pass it up.

No I have no desire. Between the multiple figures guys get and me just not knowing them, I have no desire

Ya I mostly collect legends but if there is a really cool figure like Demon Balor or the Fiend I will pick it up. Also if a run into a elite figure of someone I don't have and its 11 bucks or less I usually will pick it up especially if I think they won't get another elite figure.

I mostly buy legends, but at this point I have a decent mini-collection of the current roster. Some of the figures are just too impressive to pass up - Viking Raiders, Bludgeon Bros - and I'm a sucker for tag teams. I've also added guys like Bryan, Styles, Brock, and Cena who will ultimately go down as all-time greats. But there are definitely a few figures in my collection - Jinder comes to mind - that were totally impulse purchases because the figure looked decent, and I saw it in store, and hadn't there hadn't been anything I was interested in released in a while.

I have 3 nxt shelves but haven’t watched since it went live and delayed on the network. Seriously considering selling them off, but too lazy haha. When I need space maybe. So to answer I’m less tempted than ever before

Some of the modern figures are really cool, so I do get tempted. Especially when they're wrestlers I think I would like if I still watched. Buddy Murphy looks cool in the few highlight videos I've watched.
I've resisted. There's nothing too tempting on the horizon.

Really considered buying a Fiend but ultimately if it’s not gonna go on my flashback display it’s a bad use of money for me

I buy a few here and there. Fiend and McIntyre are a few of them.

Not to be that bunghole, but no. Stopped watching WWE several months back and have been perfectly content with AEW and Impact. All along I have had zero interest in main roster guys, and this just reinforced it for me. But I have and will continue to collect all flashback figures, which I have done dating back to the start of the line.

My Mattel WWE collection is about 75% legends, the current roster guys I have are mostly wrestlers I’ve followed on the indies before they got to “The Fed”. Some of the modern ones I have are Riddle, Pete Dunne, Undisputed Era (minus Cole), Keith Lee, AJ Styles, Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins and The Fiend among others. If you don’t know who they are I can see not collecting them, unless you just like the aesthetic of the figure.

90% legends collector here for the last 2/3 years. My current roster buys are usually
tag teams/factions
indie/TNA/ROH guys I was a fan of that made it to nxt or whatever (ares, Rood etc)
Figures of Balor, Sheamus & Becky to support my fellow countrymen 🇮🇪
Then the odd guy I know little or nothing about but looks great... Fiend, Murphy, Keith Lee etc etc
Orr an update on a modern favorite. But yeah...current purchases are sparse

Not really. I don’t watch it anymore, but I see some stuff on their when my son watches it. So I’ve tried to buy a few current guys who have that unique look (Wyatt, Viking Raiders) etc, but I always end up giving them to my son, now I just buy them for him. I just stick to pre 2002.

I'll get some of the NXT guys. Karrian Kross will probably my next current guy I'll get.

Mostly Legends, but I have all of the Ultimates, a few Daniel Bryans then my Cleveland guys, Miz and Ziggler. Will probably add a Gargano eventually.

I don't watch current WWE (it's just not for me) but as a wrestling figure diehard I still try to have at least one representation of every modern character. I've been so deep into the Mattel line now that I don't feel like turning back, and plus most of these guys/girls I liked previously either on the indies or on their previous stops.
They usually just go right in a tote (lol) but I do have some peace of mind with one representation per character. I'm pretty strict about that though with the modern guys because it's just not my priority at all, so I'm glad I've grown a lot in showing restraint there. Props to Mattel for the quality with some of these modern elites though, they do make it hard to pass up just based from a quality standpoint.

They will all be legends, to some degree, in a few years.
Quick examples: The Wrestlemania 30 Daniel Bryan and Mania Kofi are legends figs IMO.
