Anyone know a good way to soften a cotton t-shirt? I got a Daniel Bryan shirt (the grey Yes! one) from WWE recently, and it's like wearing a life-size plastic Elite t-shirt.

Maybe washing it a few times and use fabric softener

Wash it inside out in cold water. Add fabric softener. Dry it on a clothesline.
Never wash it in warm or hot water. And never put it in the dryer.

Beat it with a rock. Isn't every problem solvable by beating something with a rock?

I usually soak all of my clothes in Big Red soda and then wash them with warm water mixed with soy sauce and hang them out to dry. Then re-wash them in soapy water with salt and then put them in the dryer and they shrink up to where I can't wear them.
So don't do that. Instead try washing with some good fabric softener and cold water and hang them outside to dry. Using a dryer I think causes them to shrink and could irritate the fabric even if you use a dryer sheet.

Thanks for the responses. Sounds like cold water, fabric softener, and no dryer are the consensus. I think I did the opposite of all three. haha

All my heavy metal t-shirts are made by Gildan and they have lasted years.
