Coming soon in 2021, in an alternate universe, ECW - Extreme Championship Wrestling is revived after Joey Styles successfully purchases the rights and IP from Vince McMahon.
Extreme Championship Wrestling 2021 is a ‘low budget’ professional wrestling company owned and run by former ECW commentator Joey Styles. ECW focuses on No DQ, No Count-Out match variations, although traditional matches are also featured. The shows are held in the new ‘ECW Arena’ in New York, effectively a repurposed high school gym, and exclusively streamed online. Despite the low budget appearance, ECW has an undisclosed financial backer which allows ECW to offer competitive contracts to some of the best professional wrestling talent in the world.
the first roster reveals feature: Mr Kennedy, Finlay, The Undertaker, AJ Styles, Kurt Angle, Sting, Jeff Jarrett, Samoa Joe, Suicide, and of course the ECW Owner and General Manager Joey Styles.
more roster reveals will be taking place in December 2020 and January 2021
(at this stage, my plan is to use Instagram for announcements such as the roster reveals, while the actual shows will be hosted on a website [like Wordpress or something, I haven’t decided on which is best to use yet, I’m open to suggestions]. I’m planning to do the traditional pictures and text rather than videos as that’s not really my thing, but the exact execution is still being decided upon. My setup will only feature an audience on one side of the ring, opposite the entrance, this is due to limited space and resources [chairs, figures for the crowd]. All 3 sides will have a black backing [or possibly white as there’s so much black within the arena itself?]. A warning about the ‘production quality’ I only have a phone camera, depending on the lighting it does take good pictures though. However just be aware with my picfed that photo quality is somewhat on purpose to represent the whole ‘low budget, low production value’ thing but I will try my best not to take ‘bad’ photos. The shows will probably have around 3 matches as my roster will be quite small)
im open to any feedback or suggestions on anything about this. Storyline’s is something I could always do with some extra ideas
