Listening to observer live and one thing I found very interesting, is they both talked about how someone needs to step in a stop Darby Allin. They said it’s one thing to take risks, but they talked about how he is just reckless and he does reckless stuff far too often and he is going to cripple himself or even worse. I know Darby has talked about how he and Gabe didn’t have a great relationship and that Gabe was trying to control him. I assume this is the kind of stuff that Gabe was saying no too. I love Darby but even I told a buddy of mine the guy has been hurt a lot since AEW started, and he needs to calm down. As someone who first became aware of Darby from AEW and instantly became a huge fan, I 100% agree. It's already gone far past the level of Jeff Hardy coolness and straight into WCW Mick Foley recklessness. Darby desperately needs to pick his spots.

I had fun watching. My girlfriend is on vacation, so a night alone with the PPV and some good dinner was a lot of fun. Two things I noticed that stuck out... While both legends in their own right, Tony and JR both need to go. They can't keep up and just ramble on. It's a shame. When paying $50 for the show, how many damn times do we need to hear the same advertisements for upcoming Dynamite tickets and the aew shop sale? It was ridiculous.Aside from that. I enjoyed. I am sure whoever was announcing would be doing the same exact thing.

I’ve read a lot of reviews of this show outside this board and most people unfortunately think just because of the Hardy incident and the opening match it was a bad show. Nevermind that there were more good matches than not. Like I said, you remove those 2 things and it’s a very good show. I might also cut 10 minutes from the tag title match too. lol Yeah but it's those two things alone that have killed this show for many and deemed it a bad show. I don't think it's fair, but it is what it is.

Watched the show last night and don't think it was a bad show at all but, yeah, it was hard to get back into it after the Matt incident and the vibe & energy of the crowd (& notably a few of the wrestlers) being noticeably drained due to the humid conditions in Jacksonville...the latter obviously being something completely out of their control but would've helped get me mentally invested again. Good to great matches after the Broken Rules match but that bump and the subsequent handling of it put a damper on my ability to fully enjoy it.

Oh and Sydal’s botch also is pointed as one of the things that killed this show.

It’s probably the same dorks who thing Cage and Brodie were buried by Mox and Archer was buried by Cody. If someone says this, I’ll look at the rest of their takes with skepticism. MJF was absolutely elevated last night and the next time he challenges for the AEW title, he should win. THAT WAS THE MATCH OF HIS CAREER! I don’t think a lot of fans these days understand long term booking and not hot shotting someone to the title like WWE has done for years Like they hotshotted Moxley to the title, after his release from "prison"? Also, bad move not to put the belt on MJF. He's the absolute best thing in the company atm - and Moxley has had it long enough now... but obviously they're not taking the title off their prize capture, anytime soon.

I read the Wrestling With Wregret review of this show and Zane thinks the Tooth and Nail match was actually good! I laughed a couple of times during the match, but overall it wasn't good stuff. The match did actually get more build than almost any other match on the show.

I enjoyed the show. The three title matches were all good. I actually think the mimosa match was my favorite. I wasn’t really expecting the two pools and I thought they did some fun stuff, like Jericho putting OC’s hair in it and Jericho’s feet skimming the water. Gimmick matches can easily go sideways and I found myself really digging that one for its fun factor. Curious where they go with OC next though since I think it forces them to push him towards Lee and a title shot, and I think it’s too soon for that feud. The tag title match was the most obvious because of the Hangman story but I loved the post match stuff. Heel Kenny is a direction I think we should all want. I’m not really an FTR guy and I don’t think anything they’ve done in AEW has been particularly memorable, despite being apart of good segments. I would be good with seeing some six man tags between the Elite and FTR & Hangman. Women’s title match was the best worked match imo. I saw Ivelisse posted a picture of her, Diamanté, Thunder and Tay together and I kind of hope that becomes a stable. I think Rosa got herself over a ton. The title match wasn’t the outcome I wanted, but I do think the match was well booked. Assuming this leads to MJF winning, I’m good with putting it off until next time. It only helps MJF build more steam. I’m guessing we’ll see Smart Mark pretty quickly arguing the finish. I think AEW undoubtedly has a few guys that need to slow the down. Sammy and Darby are clearly two of them. Glad Matt is ok. Accidents happen. We can’t have it both ways. If we want the much better in-ring product and more creative in-ring style, these guys are going to make mistakes. I feel really awful for Sydal.

Yeah the spot where Cage threw Darby outside the ring while the latter was inside a body bag full of thumbtacks was outlaw mudshowish. Also Darby hit his head against one of the steps on the ramp and he could have gotten seriously hurt. He needs to slow it down for sure. As does AEW as a whole. I get they don’t want to be PG like wwe(and I pray they never do), but don’t take things too far. You don’t need to be a shock value promotion.

I think it could be better if they wait a bit on MJF first. Yeah he's the best heel they have and everyone hates him, but get a few more specific title level feuds established with him first so when he does take it he has a bunch of people that immediately want to take it from him. Can have some better meaningful defenses that way.

Darby dived onto Cage a few weeks ago and went head/neck first into the ground. looked insane. I wanna enjoy Darby for years, not for a few until he writes himself off.

Why take the title off arguably your biggest star? He’s a big draw for them so taking it off him would be dumb. Moxley was already a multi time champion by the time he won the AEW title so I don’t consider it hot shotting. MJF will be a great champion but Moxley is still doing great for them so why ruin that?

Had Sammy put his hand behind Matt's head while they fell, he could have saved Matt from that injury. Scary to see him get knocked out like that, he could have died.
