yep, that was an awesome finish. mjf will have lots of fuel to go back after mox and the title down the road.

What a great match. Kept mjf firmly in the title picture and finished turning the guy into a total star. Didn't need to win for that to be his Austin Bret moment but he came out looking like a million bucks I’m really impressed with MJF after that match. He’s come a very long way.

By fare the worst AEW PPV to date, not a terrible show by any means in terms of WWE level of bad but and average show that really only had one above average match in my eyes in YB/Jurassic Express. But with that said where their possibly leading for Full Gear could be the best show in company history with,
Lee/Cody for the TNT Title Moxley/Archer for the World Title FTR/Young Bucks for the tag team titles Omega/Page
If those are the four main match ups going to be a hell of a card and show.

Legit, I don’t think any of those happen at Full Gear. MAYBE FTR/Bucks

Great main event. Unless he’s acting very well, Mox looks very injured. Maybe they have him drop the title to Archer on Dynamite on Wednesday and then he can take time off to heal?
Cons about this show- Dentist match, Sydal botch, and Hardy mishap.
Pros- both the tag team matches, the 8 tag was decent, the women’s title match, Cassidy vs Jericho I think was the best of their 3 matches, and the main event.

Well I'm exhausted lol. I think the FTR/Omega Page was MOTN as expected, but I thoroughly enjoyed the main event and the Thunder Rosa/Shida match too. Rosa/Shida probably the best women's match the company has had. I think it was better than Shida/Nyla no DQ. Rosa was so well prepared for all of Shida's moves it added a lot to the match. FTR/Omega-Page was something I'll have to rewatch many times to really catch everything that happened in it. So glad we can watch those stories progress now. I enjoyed the Mimosa match a lot more than I thought I would. Tooth thing was silly but hey, at least they put a second women's match on so I'll take it lol. See y'all on wednesday.

See y'all on wednesday. i'm torn on the women's match tbh. i was hoping while it was going on that it would be better than shida/nyla but i think i still enjoyed their match more than this one. it just seemed more impactful. this one was a better pure match for sure, but nyla/shida had me more on the edge of my seat... it definitely left me wanting more tho. i really like what i've seen from rosa and think they could totally tear the house down given the chance. if they work a bit stiffer on the next go around it will take the spot of the best women's match for sure. i hope this isn't the end between them. i'm also gonna rewatch the whole show before wednesday, but i'll admit i am scared to see the sydal/hardy spots again still. i enjoyed the show but i don't believe it was their best to date.

Ended up being a good show after the rough start. I’d say 2.5/4 matches missed for me. Opener sucked. Broken Rules a dud for obvious reasons. Bucks/Jurassic no complaints, good stuff. Battle royal was ok, no real issue with the action. Of course the Sydal slip/botch was a glaring negative. Archer winning, pretty meh for me, I’m not interested in him.
After all that things went back to normal. Pretty good Shida/Rosa match. 8-man tag was fine, would’ve rather Dark Order won but the post-match at least put a story there instead of just a loss. Tag title match was pretty great, needed that to deliver and it did. Not a grand break up with Kenny and Page, but it’s gonna explode soon. Cassidy/Jericho was kinda fun, accomplished what it needed to. Interested to see where both go next. Main event was pretty good too. MJF did a great job, got some color, and kept up with Mox with some physicality. In the end trying to cheat to win bites him in the ass with the Paradigm Shift behind the refs back.
Hoping Archer gets his shot against Mox before Full Gear, but I could see them making it the PPV match with what has to be their shortest timeframe to build to a PPV so far. Glad the show rebounded and turned out to be good overall.

If you take out Baker/Swole and Hardy/Guevara, this was a very good show.
Those dragged the show down by a lot (obviously for different reasons)

Overall, I think the PPV was just okay. Something felt off all night, and although many here don't seem to agree, many seem to share that sentiment over at r/sc.
While there is still plenty to enjoy, I feel as though the cracks in AEW are starting to show. Specifically, making decisions based on fandom, and an abhorrent level of nepotism. The roster is bloated, and everyone's friend has a job. Matt Hardy taking a spot that could've gone to someone like Kip Sabian is no different than Goldberg destroying Bray Wyatt. This no longer feels like an alternative, IMO, but rather, a higher-quality counterpart.
MJF carried Moxley to his best match since Omega. However, the finish was brilliant, and didn't take anything away from the MJF character.

It was a good show. My only complaint is that it felt like an extended Dynamite. High quality wrestling, advanced some angles, and it will probably be the end for at least a couple of programs. So that's not a negative, and if anything is a testament to the quality of Dynamite most weeks. Maybe it's my Attitude Era tastes, but I want something different from a PPV. Give me a big debut (obviously not something you can do regularly), or something that really generates a buzz closing the show. MJF/Mox had a creative ending that furthers the story. But it didn't do much as the closing moment of a $50 PPV for me. If you're going to run events less frequently and at a higher cost, I think they really need to dig deep to make sure each event really has that moment that feels special.
But saying that the cracks are showing? Not seeing that. They've done an amazing job telling long form stories and building continuity between programs. They (largely) make the most of the roster, and with a second show coming I will continue to argue that they have room to grow the roster, particularly in the singles division. Not everyone needs featured all the time.
But nepotism? I'd love to see some examples beyond Luther and maybe Cutler of someone who stands out as not being worthy of their spot. The Bucks worked us indies for more than a decade, Cody was in WWE from nearly that same timeframe, and Kenny worked almost everywhere in Japan. That covers a pretty major chunk of the prominent talent in the world that they'd cross paths with and are probably friendly with. I'd love to hear a list of available workers you think are more deserving of a roster spot than some of the folks on the roster.

omega page vs FTR alone was enough to make the show stand out for me.
we haven't had this compelling of a wrestling story since...man I don't even know. we STILL don't know if the bucks and omega will be the heels, or it Page, although it's starting to lean towards a heel elite
on a side note, it felt downright strange for Cody to not be on a ppv show.
