That was the Survivor Series Battlepack with Monsoon and Heenan. It got cancelled and Gorilla got put in the elite line

I never saw one for less than $40, but quite frankly, $40 with currency converted and shipping fees would be about $80 CAD. There's no need for a figure that's just been released to be that expensive.

I could see another one happening later on the line but it probably won't be a straight reissue of the E72 exclusive. I would love to see a redo of that figure but with molded on glasses like the recent Xavier Woods is getting.

I think we will definitely get another Monsoon. Might not happen right away but he's a legend and a massive name. We have I believe 3 different Heenan figures so I can see at least 1 more Monsoon.

It was a 'collectors edition' figure that is what happened- these figures are produced in very small quantities (that is why they are called collectors edition) which means only a handful of people will be able to find one.  I checked on ebay when it was released and there were few if any which means either they were snatched up or more likely scalpers were unable to find this figure either.

Here in Canada, Walmart has had a listing for Monsoon for several months but the figure was never available so I am not sure why they put up the listing in the first place or more importantly why the heck they won't remove it?!

What I dont get is why the likes of Sherri and Backlund were easy to get (Amazon had them!) but the likes of Gorilla and Briscoe weren't. Luckily I've managed to get a Briscoe but Gorilla is a huge want of mine and I imagine anyone else who collects old school and he was impossible from the start for us to get hold of. Sucks. 

Really hope he gets a re-release, as someone else said, even if its a basic, makes no difference with announcers, Managers etc as far as I'm concerned.

I want to know what happened to all the Gorilla elites, there has to be more? Or was he that low in production? Maybe it's a distribution issue, because I never saw that series at Walmart.

I have no clue what happened with earlier exclusive releases. Look how smoothly we can obtain them now on RSC. If these are produced less than RSC should also go out of stock in 1 week but the are restocking.

I typically wait a few weeks after the release of store exclusives. To see if I can find it in store, if not, I check the Bay. I believe I got mine for $35. If they make another, I'll buy that too, and I hope they do.
