Some just popped up on Brickseek an hour away and across state lines. Against my better judgment, I’m gonna go check it out in the morning. Keep me in your prayers. Follow up: went in when they opened and asked for them once I didn’t see them on the shelves. She checked her device and said they’re on a pallet and she probably won’t get to them by the weekend. Make sure you guys call ahead!

There are absolutely people taking this to the extreme. If you can't see that, I don't think there's anything I can show you that will convince you otherwise. Nevertheless, it's kinda silly for anyone losing their mind over this to be told to dial it back and perceive that as some wall being put up to stifle their opinions. You can't dismiss a thought contrarian as your own as out of turn because "this is a discussion board" when the very nature of "discussion" is based upon an exchange of ideas. Perhaps what everyone is looking for is a private echo chamber, but those don't have a firm street date yet. I think because of our current social climate, too many people equate criticism with hate. Therefore when someone says rightfully, hey Jazzwares dropped the ball, it’s disappointing, they can’t distinguish between legitimate constructive criticism and hate speech lol. They then must virtue and moral signal, downplaying criticism as the work of spoiled entitled people, and explaining it away. You are right, they are looking for an echo chamber. For example, Cageside seats comments section is essentially social justice city, yet its Facebook comments are MAGA run wild. This board has done a great job being neutral but it’s clear that’s a battleground. These boards are not neutral. There is a narrative and suppression. Well documented!

Some of that definitely bleeds into WFigs, but I think it's a little less tribal. I think it's hard to paint with a broad brush. The majority of people are able to have a reasonable conversation, and give criticism and praise where due. There are a few people act like the sky is falling, and it totally derails any actual conversation. There are days where I really wonder if some of the posters here actually believe the stuff they type, or think they're working some sort of gimmick to get a rise out of people.

Both Walmart’s nothing this morning, one with aew tags and a bunch of elite 75, the other one 3miles down the road has one AJ basic and two MOTU.
How can 1 Walmart in the same town always have stock and the other never has anything? Is it up to a particular person at each Walmart to order the figs or does some suit in another area decide to send figs to only one and not the other? Any inside baseball of how stocking works on two close in proximity Walmart’s?

Any inside baseball of how stocking works on two close in proximity Walmart’s? I’d like to know this as well. I’ve never worked at a Walmart but from the supply chain classes I’ve taken, most of their inventory system is electronic. So when an item become low-stock, the system automatically puts in an order to re-stock. If this is true, how is it that one Walmart may consistently be a goldmine while the 5 others around it are a wasteland all year?

You guys honestly expected Walmart of all places to be fully stocked at street? Have you learned nothing from collecting? Buncha entitled brats... Funny you call people brats when Jeremy at Jawares basically said fans are right to be upset and that he takes responsibility for the date blunder. I’m also pretty sure anyone who works their butt off for a paycheck and want to spend their disposable income on these figures is anything but an entitled brat (especially in today’s economical environment). But I guess it’s easier to call people names than actually think about the issue Jawares created today. If this is the biggest hurdle in life you had to face yesterday, you are in fact entitled, sir.

I really feel awful for Walmart associates this week.
Having to deal with the same people everyday has to be nauseating

I don't think anybody has been unfairly dragged for being disappointed that these things didn't hit as scheduled. I mean, I personally found it kind of funny, but that's just me. It's perfectly cool to be let down by something like that. It's still willfully ignorant to suggest that nobody feeling let down, particularly on these boards, doesn't take that feeling to the absolute extreme in their posts. Hate speech, virtue signaling, and social justice aren't at play at all here. Weird hand.

It’s like the DMV, especially the return counter. The toy department during the summer is mad chill, they fear the Holiday season not some gump who wants a wrestling fig in August.

Having to deal with the same people everyday has to be nauseating Honestly, if not for the fact that I simply had more years under my belt during the time I was working at Sears than I did with Wal-Mart, working for the Waltons would take the absolute top spot as my worst working experience during my all-too-long tour through the retail industry. Retail is the sort of absolutely thankless work that I simultaneously feel everyone should have to do at some point in their lives, but that no one should ever have to be subjected to. The sort of human empathy you develop from donning that stupid blue vest for 40 hours each week (clearly) can't be learned by simply reading the horror stories told here (both by the employees and the humanoids out there perpetrating them).

The reaction of some for legit criticisms, like the guy who blocked me and wheel jack, that’s exactly what I was referring. I don’t know what he all said but I felt my comment was fair. Also, those elements have taken over much of society as a whole, and those feelings and mindsets bleed over.

I live in the UK and I always say that everyone should have to do at least two weeks working behind some kind of cash desk as a national service. I have worked in retail and the way people think they can treat you is ing horrendous! I always make sure to be as nice as I can to folks behind the cash desk as I know first hand how hard that job can be and chances are they have delt with more than one bunghole that day. In regards to these not coming out when Jeremy said they would, HELLO!!! Were you not here during the Jakks days? He is a top dude for sure, but he is all about creating that buzz and he sure as hell created a buzz with these figures, people are foaming out the mouth to get them. Even those that are pissed will be hitting Walmarts for the rest of the week! He is a sales dude pure and simple, he used to promise the Earth all the time during the Jakks days and then disappear when craphit the fan lol. As I said he comes across as a major dude and a super nice guy, but he is a marketing man first and foremost.

Also, those elements have taken over much of society as a whole, and those feelings and mindsets bleed over. I mean, so what? Do you know him? It's a message board. I've lost count of the people who have probably got me blocked. I'm long past due to be blocking wheeljack myself, 'cause I won't tiptoe around the fact that he is every bit the type of person I've been talking about, who has just no sense of chill in regard to these sorts of things. As for that other hornet's nest...I won't deny that those aspects are more prevalent in our lives than ever before (and - hot take alert - rightfully f*cking so)...but if you can't come and talk about action figures and whatever sort of bullsh*t surrounds them without either letting your own feelings on those matters bleed into the conversation, or suspecting that someone else's feelings on those matters are driving their hard nosed opinions on action figure related topics, then that onus is entirely on you, and it may be time to re-enroll in Life Compartmentalizing 101.

I've been a member of this board off and on for 5 years now. I've lurked for even longer. And in those years, I always thought the Comic Con threads took the cake in a "is it even worth it being a member here?" thought process. And, then, I stumbled into this thread.
The absolute bitterness some of you have over this hobby is akin to star wars fans being the worst thing to happen to star wars.
