After reading through all 16 pages of this thread, i honestly find it hard to believe that some of the people here are fully grown adults.

Is it okay to be upset about this? Absolutely. But some are overreacting way too much...

Accept the fact that these didn't come in today (With the exception of the few people that found them), and move on. It's only a 2 day wait, it's really not that long, they will come. Just be grateful they're still coming this early, and aren't being delayed until September or later.

I haven't seen this level of drama since RSC Deliveries were slightly delayed last Black Friday/Cyber Monday. Though i will admit, this has been quite entertaining.

I love the "You're on a toy board! We're supposed to share our opinions!" argument. It almost always comes from people who are getting called out for being perceived as being way too melodramatic in expressing their angst over not being able to find their wrestling action figures. The irony that they're usually using it to try and shut down someone harboring the opinion that late action figures aren't exactly the tipping point of society's inevitable collapse is almost always lost on them.

And really, if you can't discern the difference between "Oh man, they said August 3rd - what a pain", and whatever contortions people here manage to bend themselves into, that's probably on you.

I'd REALLY like this thread to still be open by the time these figures actually hit.

It's fine to be frustrated by yesterday, or to have differing opinions. But the insults, personal attacks, and meltdowns need to stop. Period.

Maybe I'm sick and tired of corporate bodies saying one thing and doing another, and I want them to be held to a certain level of accountability? Whether it's someone in a political standing or a toymaker standing.

So here’s the latest for my store Atleast, pulled the information for tomorrow’s truck, 8/5 delivery, NO AEW FIGURES, I fully expect the arrival date to change for me today. Doesn’t mean they won’t hit your stores, but I don’t believe 8/5 is going to be a hard date either

As it’s been said before, they should’ve never given a date. Early august would have been great, but they wanted to create buzz.

Does the cody figure being retooled have anything to do with this?

This AEW series 1 is gonna be so hard to find in Walmart. Soon as they are released whoever just happens to be there will likely buy most of the stock and then Walmart won't restock for at least 6 weeks.

I think purposely trolling and calling people “brats” goes beyond their thinking capacity to shut down one claiming it’s the end of society. Nobody is claiming that as these are hunks of plastic. I didn’t even go out yesterday, but I don’t blame people who did based on the August 3rd date being thrown in everyone’s faces for week.

Brickseek shows a location not having them in stock, but PopFindr shows the exact same location as have 1-5 or 6+. Which is better to go by, or more reliable?

Went to another Walmart this morning that showed stock. The employees were in the process of resetting the toy section. I got the toy department manager to go to the back and pull out a fresh case, but another collector was there at the same time. He wanted one of each, I just wanted the ones I was missing Cody, Jericho, and Brandi. We agreed to help each other out, so we exchanged numbers to help each other look, and I went home with Jericho.

Interesting the box had 2 Omegas, 1 of the other men, and no Brandi. So I'm just down to needing Cody and Brandi.

There are absolutely people taking this to the extreme. If you can't see that, I don't think there's anything I can show you that will convince you otherwise. Nevertheless, it's kinda silly for anyone losing their mind over this to be told to dial it back and perceive that as some wall being put up to stifle their opinions. You can't dismiss a thought contrarian as your own as out of turn because "this is a discussion board" when the very nature of "discussion" is based upon an exchange of ideas.

Perhaps what everyone is looking for is a private echo chamber, but those don't have a firm street date yet.

I think because of our current social climate, too many people equate criticism with hate. Therefore when someone says rightfully, hey Jazzwares dropped the ball, it’s disappointing, they can’t distinguish between legitimate constructive criticism and hate speech lol. They then must virtue and moral signal, downplaying criticism as the work of spoiled entitled people, and explaining it away. You are right, they are looking for an echo chamber. For example, Cageside seats comments section is essentially social justice city, yet its Facebook comments are MAGA run wild. This board has done a great job being neutral but it’s clear that’s a battleground.
