I missed a lot of flashback/legends figures I really wish I had picked up at retail. Legion of Doom, Demolition, Akeem, Rockers, Bushwackers, Iron Shiek and Nikolai, etc. Others more recent I never saw at retail. Mean Gene, gorilla, king harley. The ebay prices are nuts. My question....will these ever come down? Is my option of getting them to shell out the money? Is there hope or do I just have to pay for them these high prices?thoughts?

Only if Mattel makes newer figures of those wrestlers. Investing in wrestling figures from 2010-2016 was a genius idea.

If you want them pay, when I started collecting the Rockers were $50, I dragged my feet, then $75, waited, then $100 and up and up it went, if you have the $ just do it

I wonder if WWE will start doing more "talent friendly" deals to get some people to sign. I can't imagine Mr. T signing one of the old legends/merch deals. And with AFA going silent on who had deals and who did not, it makes me wonder if that is so the competition knows who they can target easier.

For much older series, unlikely but for things like Series 65-now...it will in due time. I think the market is surging because nothing is on the shelves. People are wanting to buy, it drives up demand which thus drives up the prices. Once Mattel starts filling shelves (well as best as Mattel can do) the prices will slowly start to tinker down.

Once this virus is no longer impacting the economy like it is, I think you’ll see some things come down. Many people are buying out of boredom, and sellers know that. Having said that, you can kiss LOD goodbye lol LOD NEVER comes back down once it goes up. Even their Jakks sets were selling for stupid prices before Mattel ever even go the license.

Prices will settle to different degrees. Secondary market prices are up across the board on collectibles. People aren't spending in their usual outlets, and are largely stuck at home. Prices will settle on the other side of this, wherever that may be.
Every market will have its ebbs and flows.

It's not just wrestling figures. The secondary market has been nuts lately, and as people have said it's probably because of a reduction in new product. Mythic Legions aftermarket prices have doubled from where they were a year ago.

Legion of doom was one of my best retail scores. I remember walmart had their elites on sale for 12 something during xmas of 2014 and I got both of them under 30 bucks. Still two of my favs in my collection.

Buy now or just forget about it. ..unless you get the info that Mattel is producing a new version of that same wrestler because then there can be more on the secondary market to choose from so the prices can be a little better

The prices aren’t dropping. If anything, they’ll jump up even more. As more collectors are buying from sellers, leaving less out there.
You want the figures? Better pay up.

I think if you're diligent you can still find good deals.
I got a set of Bushwhackers for cheap during the virus outbreak, and last year I scored a MOC RSC pink Bret for around £70 (they were regularly going for 100-120 even then). Got 2 sets of Rockers and a RSC Macho King for good prices as well. You just gotta be patient.

I traded a Mattel Harley Race for a Network Spotlight HBK🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ Granted it was when they first released and we had no idea that they wouldn’t hit anywhere, and I had wanted that HBK forever. Makes me sick now I was lucky enough to find 3 Harleys though so that makes it a little better

If you can’t get it retail, they’ve got you and will command as high a price as they can reliably yield. Makes sense and also makes figures a great investment. Buy as soon as they come out and you won’t be disappointed.

I don't know why so many think the prices will go down again. No one knows for sure but I don't see that happening.
