Been going through a very anxious time in my life where I am worrying about my relationship and job. So I have tried to do some mindfulness for the first time.
I believe it's worked a little but would like it to be better.
Anyone ever practiced it and had some benefits?

I haven’t but I’ve considered it many times. I get really bad anxiety, especially early in the morning if I happen to wake up earlier than I need to. My problem with it probably would be that I’m not good at sitting still and I’m not that patient.

I have been meditating for about half a year. I was anxious and I didn't know how to deal with it. It all started at school. I haven't been able to make any new friends since. It was difficult for me to find a job because I am not very sociable. I realized it was time to deal with it. On goldbee.com/ I read about good ways to deal with this. I started practicing meditation and yoga regularly, spending more time outdoors, taking CBD and learning not to be afraid to meet. Now I'm fine, I have some great new friends but I'm still looking for work

My brother-in-law does. He works with his mom & she's a real b*tch. He's been focusing more on meditating for about an hour a day when he gets home instead of having a few drinks. He says he feels much more relaxed & his blood pressure has dropped significantly.

It sounds like I could use this. I have always found yoga (although not meditation) has been a really calming and grounding lift to my mental state. My anxiety and stress will only be greater as my life's responsibilities increase.

When I'm feeling overwhelmed, I breath in for 5 seconds and then out for 5 seconds. I keep doing it until I'm good. It never really takes long.

I meditate daily. I’m currently doing a free 21 day Deepak Chopra course, but I often use (and recommend) the Insight Timer app.

Ya know, I highly respect Eastern spirituality, meditation, yoga, mindfulness, etc., but I had a therapist who went right to it once with me, without really digging into what I was struggling with. Like, as I’ve mentioned a few times, I suffer from Bipolar Disorder, unpleasant manias where the anxiety disorder known as OCD really shows itself. Instead of trying any other methods to help me - or even asking questions and talking me through my odd anxieties - the therapist just went straight to mindfulness. Doesn’t really work if the person isn’t into it. I think too many therapists these days are dependent on it as an easy way out.

I dont. I couldn't sit still for 5 minutes even if I tried. I dont understand how and why people do it.
