Ultimately, I think if I were to accurately sum it up, this is the "you deserve it" era.

Ultimately, I think if I were to accurately sum it up, this is the "you deserve it" era. Because everyone gets a championship and the fans chant YOU DE-SERVE IT each time they win one?

Golden Era 1984-1993 New Gen 1993-1997
Attitude Era forming in 1997, fully in play by 1998. The early years of AE 98-99 center around Austin, Taker, Foley, Kane and the rise of HHH/Rock. Late AE 00-01 has Rock, HHH, Angle, Jericho , return of Austin and Taker.
WM 17-WM 18 service as the transition point looking like little bit of both eras and leaning both ways
RA Era can be cut into two sub groups Brand Extension 2002-Summer of 2008
2002-2005 the first half of RA centers around Lesnar, HHH, Angle, Guerrero, Benoit return of HBK with the rush to find the new stars
WM 21 - GOB 2008 Stars like Edge, Orton, Cena, Batista becomes the four primary faces with Taker, HBK, HHH still in the company continuing they’re legacies at the top. With Jericho’s return, Jeff Hardy and Punk on the rise this is the strongest sub era imo.
PG Era The rest of 2008 serves as the transition point 2009-July 2011 When I think PG Era I think this. Cenas Superman, many top stars are leaving and major landscape change in the company forming with many experiments on new stars failing
July 2011-WM 30 Prelude to the reality era the company throws couple bones out there to the snarky fans in this time period Cena is still super man but can lose couple times. The rise of Bryan, the Shield, the love for Punk, and normalizing part timers like Lesnar. As well as the rise of Social Media
Reality Era 2014-2016 Brief transition time with many PG Era stars exiting and the company forming Roman Reigns as the face.

I didn't realize the "New Era" was still a thing.

I call it, "Wow, the product certainly sucks now, I shall go watch old wrestling on the WWE Network" Era. I second this, I don’t keep up with Raw/Smackdown every week because I’d rather not sit through it. I started watching Extreme Rules last night without knowing the matches. As soon as Michael Cole said the only way to win the match between Seth & Rey was to pop their eye out of its socket I just gave up. In all honesty, that is by far the stupidest stipulation I have ever heard in my life. Blind someone to win a wrestling match, seriously?
