I saw Wrestlemania 30 Elites of Shawn and Bret on the peg at Kmart, both right next to each other..
I regret buying them because they were the figures that helped me get interested in the Mattel line but I also didn't pick them up that day (I didnt want to start collecting wrestling toys if the other figures didnt look as good. Looking at you Jakks figures). They both never popped up anywhere in any toy store I went to.
(Eventually they joined my collection)

I could've picked Kevin Von Erich at a local antique store for $25, a month after Legends 6 came out (never saw them at retail). I sadly only had enough for one, and they had both Kerry as the Tornado and Kevin... I didn't like the job Mattel on the face, so Kerry won out. I remember thinking they were overpriced (LOL!!) but money was reaaaally tight back then.
Flash forward to last Christmas, managed to get a new one (not really a MOC collector, but most of the loose ones had badly damaged jackets, or were missing them) for about $110 shipped. Growing up in Texas, the Von Erichs were my jam. And Kevin was the only Classic era wrestler I didn't have at least one version of by now.
Also passed on Legends Road Warriors, but that regret is lessened by having the LoD, and because they did a much better job with the part selection on Animal the second time around. If only they'd do that more often...

nWo Savage and The Giant. I'd love to have both of those now, but at the time I wasn't collecting Mattel WWE figures. When I decided later on to do WCW figures, those were already way out of my price range.

All on Amazon UK for months back in around 2011/12 I think?
I did get the Legends Macho King for about £12 at the time.

Honestly, there's only a handful of figures I'm looking for (hit up my DMs if you're looking to part with anything in my wants lol). Most of my regrets are not buying doubles. lol Why buy doubles? I buy doubles since I collect loose and MOC but it could be a bit excessive. |

To sell once the value went up. lol I bought doubles because when they were under $20 at one time I was getting them for toys for my son but I knew having one in the box still was cool and they would be worth more later. Looking at the secondary market now it’s crazy to look at some of the stuff you have after all this time. People will pay a fortune for just some of the toys out of my sons figure bucket nevermind the doubles I have moc |

These came out early in my Mattel days when I first started getting Elites (and sure wasn't keeping many MOC yet) and never showed up around me, but the WM XXX HBK and Hart. Found a few Shawns and a lone Hitman 50 miles away at the end of that summer and opened them up. Began my PPV collection with next year's Taker/Kane 31 set, had to circle around and pay a good $ for some in less-than-stellar condition.
