I hate seeing people gloat saying they knew it would flop. This had nothing to do with the product. As a huge football fan, the product on the field was enjoyable and was something to watch on the weekends while NFL was in offseason.
If this pandemic didnt hit, I 100% believe there would have been a 2021 season. Its a shame really.

Sad, as it seemed like it finally worked. But NFL is back in the fall, so yay! I hope so even if it’s in empty stadiums. I’m going to be positive though and say things will be back to normal by then.

Does anyone who watches NFL and not wrestling actually watch XFL, or has watched? I think they are aiming for the NFL audience but I just never saw it happening, either time. To non wrestling fans this is the guy who owns the wrestling company trying to run a football league. The NFL fans who did watch XFL, most likely briefly, saw that it was a wrestling promoters attempt especially in the early days. It is very sad that people lost their jobs but going in there should have been some knowledge that, like the first time, this just wouldn't work. And at some point Vince McMahon needs to realize all he ever will be will a wrestling promoter and that in itself is amazing-he is THE biggest promoter ever. But to him, with his childlike mindset it just isn't enough. My family has a relative very much like him, although he used other people's money to start businesses. The man has years of failed businesses and has recently gotten into the restaurant business because he has never been content being a great mechanic. The place is an 80 year old business that he technically is taking over and will most likely go out of business mostly due to the virus but a lot also has to do with his involvement. He is not in the restaurant business just like Vince McMahon will never be in the football business.

Pretty disappointing tbh, im not a huge football fan but I watched it quite abit this season. If it wasnt for this virus I feel like they wouldve been fine. It was REALLY taking off in St. Louis for obvious reasons.

We really needed XFL to succeed to incentivise Vince into taking a step back from micro managing WWE, so this is a loss for every fan of either sport.

I kinda knew it wouldn't last the second time around. What's next Vince Tries to reboot the World Bodybuilding Federation?

What happened to Vince's $300 million warchest he had in place to fund three years of this, which made the venture so appealing for the networks to carry in the beginning?

By most accounts, it had settled into a groove and it might have been the first spring football league to actually survive. I feel sorry for all of the players and coaches were putting their effort into the product only to have this bizarre set of circumstances pull the rug from underneath their feet.
