1985 Rock ‘n wrestling, cable tv and pop culture. Wrestling was more exciting than boxing when I was 7/8 years old I'm right there with you. A little bit before because mine was Roddy beating up Frankie Williams. But then that winter of 84 we got cable and then I saw all the rock and wrestling stuff. We were there before WrestleMania had a number and saw just the greatest angles. The heat the heels got and the love the faces got. WWE and whoever else can't buy those type of reactions anymore. The internet wasn't there to ruin anything.Good times brother good times.

As kid my neighbor friend got me into it. I remember my brothers and I got my neighbor into wrestling back in the 90s because he was the only one in the neighborhood with a cable box. Back in those days you could only order the PPVs if you had a cable box. I remember watching Wrestlemania XII at his house.

My Brother got Smackdown vs Raw 2007 for Christmas 2006. We had that 'This is mine, you can't touch it' mentality, so he wouldn't let me play it. So one day when he was out of the house i went and played it. I knew what the term Wrestling was, but didn't know there was a whole sport and industry for it, so i was just expecting this to be another fighting game like Tekken. Got the game up and the menu soundtrack already caught my attention, i liked 2000's Rock/Metal thanks to DBZ Movies and the soundtracks they'd use, so i instantly had a liking to this soundtrack. Eventually got to the character select screen and was already invested. They all looked cool and badass, pretty sure i picked Triple H because i remember seeing his entrance and thinking it was so cool... His theme, the flashing coloured lights, his walk, and the apron spit. Everything got me invested, so i played it until my Brother was almost home. Not long after, he eventually let me play it and he must have grown out of it, so i took over and it became 'my game'.
The rest is history.

Summerslam 1989. Got the vhs when i was 4 years old. Fell in love with Demolition. The face paint, the death masks and the greatest enterance theme in history. That whole ppv was packed with matches and different characters. I can say I was never a huge Hogan fan, just liked his theme song

Kane in 2001. My friends were fans but I'd never seen it. My dad taped Wrestlemania 17 on a vhs and we watched it after school and I was completely hooked. I was a huge Kane fan, it was like nothing I'd ever seen before. I haven't stopped watching since and I got to meet Kane back in 2013 and thanked him for getting me into wrestling and telling him he had a fan for life in me.

My cousins invited me over for King of the Ring (2002) and I was hooked.
They tried to get me in during the Attitude Era and when NWO were driving WCW, but I thought WWF was gross and WCW was boring (the never showed me the cruiserweights).

X-7 was the first wrestling VHS tapes I ever bought after I became a fan. It's my favorite wrestling show to this date.

My brother used to pull that crap with me with hear comes the pain and the first smack down vs raw. He’d also tell me I could play the ps2 when he’s done but he’d play more than one game and count it as one turn. We used to fight so much.

I cant say it was one wrestler or moment but it always revolves around that old school ring. The blue ring with the red white and blue ropes, it always brought joy to my eyes. Things used to be so colorful back then. Everything about WWF ended up creating a fan out of me.

Kinda hard to say I don't remember much as i have watched with my brothers as a kid in the 80s,.. Hulk hogan was my hero ,.. I was a little Hulkamaniac,.. so thats probably what did it. But as i got older,.. I became jaded on Pro Wrestling and didn't watch much when I was around 12 in 1992.. I mean i still knew things.. I knew of wrestlers like Bret hart and Doink and such.. but I had stopped watching wrestling at the time because of the whole Wrestling not being real situation and feeling too grown up for it at 12 or so lol
But what got me back in? I was living at my uncle's house while he was away with my family since he needed somone to watch the place and my house was getting electric rewiring that took awhile. One Monday night,.. I go into the living room... amd my brother was watching wrestling... I remember saying? " man are you watching wrestling? Then I saw it.... my childhood Hero, in all Black.. what.. what the hell was going on? Hulk Hogan... was a bad guy? This spiked my interest,... I took a seat and watched that Nitro with my brother and never looked back.. I was rehooked back into wrestling... and now that i was older i got to see how Pro wrestling really worked.. other then my jaded kid view of trying to be cool because Wrestling was Fake...

I stayed over at a friends house one weekend back in maybe 98?, he rented WCW/nWo World Tour on the N64 from Blockbusters & we were playing that badboy late at night until the sun came back up the next morning. He'd be playing as Ultimo Dragon & i'd be playing as Spiderman costumed: Rey Mysterio in tag matches, we quickly drew to those guys seeing as they were the high flying masked cruisers and were real fun to bounce around the ring with. We also thought the nWo was the coolest shet ever with the Outsiders being our favorites..
Later that year i got WCW/nWo Revenge for christmas, we'd start watching WCW in 98 until the end, had a bunch of their figures while still in middle school.. still a wrestling fan to this day, still a gamer to this day and the rest is history

I always have been. My first memory in life is I'm in my parents bedroom watching Raw when they paid tribute to Andre after he died.
