I noticed this tonight when I finally preordered them. I thought maybe it was a back order situation, since Bubbly Jericho (which I preordered with them) is still listed as July. But Corona-related seems a lot more likely. I pm’d @ringsidec on Twitter, he said that’s why they got pushed back, but he said it’s possible the date could improve....so I’m taking the mid august as a worst case scenario, and RSC is just covering themselves by pushing the date back Why hasn’t RSC put up AEW series 2? They are due out in sept

Wait for some of the Mattel stuff to get released and that queue to die down a little bit.

Pre-orders usually coincide with finished samples. If factories were shut down late Jan-March, that could be holding up the process. They'll be posted when they're posted. I'm sure everyone would love to sell us figures just as much as we want to buy them.

No, they were pushed back due to production delays. Covid is no joke. RSC is just being responsible and pushing back people's expectations.

Thanks Randy and agree. If you can- I am not on twitter- can you ask RSC on a guess when they might look at doing AEW series 2 preorders ... since there’s no PPV coming it’s hard to predict

They haven't even gotten the final samples for series 2 yet.

He said to me that they were going to definitely be ready for September... or did he just mean he doesn’t know on preorders ? Can u clarify

It just means they haven't gotten the final production samples back from the factory yet which probably means they haven't done the usual proto picture photoshoot type stuff we're used to. He doesn't know when they're going to go up. Nobody does right now.

People need to keep in mind that what we saw at ToyFair were literally customs. None of them were factory samples. ToyFair was in mid-February. Lockdowns in China started in late January in Wuhan.
There was no way in hell samples were being completed during that time. S1 and S2 will still come out, and could very possibly even make it to retail around their expected dates. But there's a ton up in the air, and no reason to rush putting up pre-orders. RSC is better off waiting until they have definite information than putting up pre-orders, having to change the date, and then dealing with a bunch of people complaining.

Guys, there's a pandemic going on that has halted production for almost everything around the world. Things like our little hobby of collecting figs is going to be put on hold for a bit.

I agree but at some point we all have to - and it is ok to think about - get back out there. Our lives depend on it. I’ve said I realize the severity of the virus but this is totally normal discussion to have. The board is for our little hobby and questions like this. Sports have to get back after it and so do companies, by any means necessary. The halt or the thought of “we gotta pause” is what has to stop. Why I admire WWE and AEW, they’re not just folding like everyone else

It'd be reckless to continue manufacturing anything at a large scale until certain points are met.

Production can’t stop, I think is what we are realizing But it did. Somewhere in the line of distribution, you will find a block. That's why pre-orders were and will continue to be pushed back.
