do you guys think theres a chance these NEVER get released because of COVID-19? No. Delayed depending on the factory location/production capabilities possibly. Likewise sports are not done forever. I honestly didn’t think I would live to see an Omega figure

It’s killing tons of guys my age 37, it doesn’t care about your age. Sports might be done forever, so might toys. i think that's not likely. will sports, and events that have large crowds be impacted and perhaps never the same? yes. but i think professional sports will return. as for this figure line, yes it will be impacted - because everything is being impacted.

I asked them who make this line and they said they’re still coming out. Not sure where their factories are but they said 1 and 2 are coming

The only thing about the pandemic that would cancel the release is if the economy tailspin’s would badly there is no longer a business case to make them,

Yeah even other retailers are adjusting for online and curbside pickup so even if stores were still closed I think they'd be able to move it easy enough

Just cleaned up the thread a bit. Let's try to keep the conversation focused on the impact on figures as much as possible, and less debating COVID-19 or politics.
There's a lot we don't know and can't know about this virus, or what life will look like on the other side. What we do know is that this is really serious stuff in the US and Europe, a lot of people, including young and healthy folks, will die. But much like other crises, there will be a "new normal" on the other side of this, probably within a few months.

If you look at the Preorders now, they all say mid-august It's not looking great. That might mean the street date got pushed back too.

Its only the unrivaled series that's pushed back. The bubbly exclusive is still saying mid July and the scale ring with omega is early August.

Seriously, people are thinking this will kill them. Leave it to the media to drive home the idea that a healthy teen - middle aged person will be killed by something that arguably has less impact than a common flu. Also leave it to the media to neglect the stats that matter... Like a 97% recovery rate, and only 3% of recorded cases being fatal. Which is mainly those either elderly, poor immune system, poor health (Current illnesses), or a combination of all three. I get you, but I would hate to have it, show no symptoms, and wipe a bunch of old people, include my parents or in-laws, or a cancer survivor like my sister. I couldn’t live with that.

I would be concerned that with a depressed economy, they won’t sell enough to continue the line.

If you look at the Preorders now, they all say mid-august I noticed this tonight when I finally preordered them. I thought maybe it was a back order situation, since Bubbly Jericho (which I preordered with them) is still listed as July. But Corona-related seems a lot more likely.

I pm’d @ringsidec on Twitter, he said that’s why they got pushed back, but he said it’s possible the date could improve....so I’m taking the mid august as a worst case scenario, and RSC is just covering themselves by pushing the date back
