20. Started collecting in 07 with a random adrenaline pack. Kept collecting figures until about 2011? I remember my last figure was the dm rock I believe. Stopped collecting and watching wrestling after that. Got back into collecting and wrestling after I saw wrestlemania 31 was gonna be like a block away from me.
Didn’t start collect again until 2016 the first figure that brought me back was hof Austin and haven’t stopped collecting since. It got worse when I worked at TRU for a year or so

I’m about to turn 33 and have been collecting since the mid 90s. Totally proud to collect and even still have fig events from time to time

32 this year. I grew up getting the tail end of the BCA figs and collected all through TTL and RAs. Huge Attitude Era fan, its what i grew up in. First thing i ever saw in wrestling was Cactus Jack on the ramp saying he had a surprise for the New Age Outlaws who were in the ring. A giant wooden box was on the stage, and a chainsaw starts to rev up and cut through the box, and Terry Funk aka Chainsaw Charlie comes out swinging the chainsaw like a madman and they come down to fight the Outlaws. Hooked instantly.
I stopped watching around 07, which was around the time of the deluxe RAs. I stopped collecting most things around that time, maybe a figure based off a movie here and there. It wasn't until I was in K-Mart in 2010 and saw the Legends series The Rock and Stone Cold that i was sucked back in. I started watching wrestling again when The Rock came back in 2011, and stopped again after Punk left in 2014. My collecting got out of control at one point (as I started getting main roster figs, and I also collect NECA, Marvel Legends, Batman, and many other lines and odds and ends figures) that I had to start scaling back. So my wrestling collecting still needs to be scaled back again, but its only gonna be Attitude Era.
I will never stop collecting all together I don't think. Its half cuz it brings me a lot of joy in posing figs, creating and having displays, finding things at retail, seeing reveals etc... and the other half, its an addiction hahaha
While i plan to scale back a lot this year, i do plan to get into set building for the figures. I built a full front facade of the Myers house for my Halloween figures, and absolutely love it. So i wanna evolve my collection to the next level.

I'm 35, been collecting since 1989. I was 4 when I got my first figures and have been collecting ever since. I got into WWF as it was then and my parents brought me a few for my 4th birthday and a wrestling ring (the old Hasbro one - which I still have).
It started my life long hobby, my parents thought I would grow out of it as I got older but as I did I became more of fan of the product as I started to get invested in the characters and storylines and it just grow from there and still to this day I get figures for birthday and Christmas from family. I used to play with them as kid but stopped a lone time ago and now display them proudly in my house I have figures all the way from the 80's to Mattel Elite 75 in my collection. I love collecting, I love the hunt/chase because when I finally get hold of that figure I've bene after for so long, it feels great and I am sure most people on here will agree.
Hope that helps

I just turned 36, been collecting since the Hasbro days. My mom got me Hasbro Macho and Hogan for Valentine's Day one year when I was about 5 and I never looked back. I had a hard time transitioning from BCA to TTL/RA because BCA were my favorites. I played with them forever. I picked up quite strong again with Classics, but got very few towards the last couple years due to the cost cutting measures. Really dived right back in the minute Mattel hit the shelves. At the start of Mattel I only focused on 1 of each character in Basic, but quickly decided to start collecting Elite more since I finally got over the ab crunch looking weird to me & love the extra accessories. Currently, With my current living situation and limited space I am more selective. I focus on Elites and have given up on Basics unless its a female or first time in line I don't think will be made in Elite form. I wish for more accessories instead of hands and heads because I just display them once and don't really change them. I would love for Rumblers or something similar to make their way back. I love tinkering with them and having an impromptu grudge match on my desk once in awhile when I'm bored LOL!

Still in my late teens. I mainly collect wrestling figures these days because it’s a hobby. Also, I plan on starting a pic-fed some day, so that’s another reason.

I put my collection on ice, because to keep up, you have to be keyed to online listings and store inventory tracker sites every few hours or you miss your shots, and ya gotta beat the reseller to the new figures in stores, and it's like, LIFE IS SO SHORT, I'm in my thirties on my way to my forties (hopefully), should I really keep spending my life like this, worrying about material possessions? it's kinda dumb. It'll probably sound fun again in a few years.

45 - Lifelong wrestling fan. Grew up watching AWA every Sunday morning and going to their live shows on Fridays in downtown Denver. Lots of great memories of going to those shows with my dad.
I collected LJN and Hasbro figures as a kid. Collected Jakks and still collect Mattel figures as an adult. I'm looking forward to the AEW, Legends of Lucha Libre, and NJPW figures too.

34 here. Ive been collecting toys since I was a kid. I just now have the income to do it as i please and display them. I dont think you're ever too old to collect things. Its a hobby. Hobby's are good.
I have friends who dont get my passion for all things wrestling, but when they see my displays they respect it. I dont get all their passions either. Its cool.
I display loose. I started MOC but hated how much room it took up, and dont like the thumb tack to the wall look. I'm in love with posing them in my display cases.
You do what makes you happy. F the rest. Enjoy life. People will generally understand

35 - I started collecting again when I found-out that the Retros were coming-out; that brought me back as I am a Hasbro fanboy. That was the only thing that could’ve brought me back to WWE figures collecting. I now have a few Elites and the first two sets of Ultimates, but I’m pretty much “on hiatus” as long as the Retros are - the Elites are amazing, but they’re not my “guys”. I’ll expand a bit on my earlier post as I’ve enjoyed reading the other posts here, so here’s my (way too long) story: My first figure was the Hulkster Hug Hogan at Heathrow airport when I was 7 years old. I had seen my first WWF event the month before - This Tuesday in Texas - and then became hooked properly with the 1992 Royal Rumble. My next figure was Jake The Snake (in Bridlington), followed by Piper and Warrior 2 (got them together at the same place in Glasgow) and then Big Boss Man 1 for my birthday in March. After that the order gets a bit fussy 😆 Macho King might’ve been next, I remember clearly getting that figure in Spain but not sure if he was next after Boss Man. I also had a couple of Galoobs - Z-Man and Ron Simmons; I didn’t know them as I didn’t have access to WCW, so they were jobbers for my Hasbros. I was lucky enough to be able to get most of the figures in stores around me, and kept collecting longer than anyone else my age - I had guys like Yokozuna, Lex and Bam Bam before others did (not through any connections or anything, I just had saved-up for the next new figure releases so was able to act quickly). But figures became much harder to get round here, with Samu being the last new figure I could buy here. I was lucky that my brother had a business trip to Canada and he was able to get me Fatu, Rick Steiner, Marty Jannetty and Giant Gonzales, otherwise I would never have got them. Never saw any green cards - didn’t know they existed until I got the internet in 1996. I was forever going into toy stores for a couple of years after Samu hoping to find new Hasbros, but no. Then two Jakks figures appeared in a catalogue shop in 1996, and I knew my childhood was over since the Hasbros were clearly done. I got those Jakks figures but didn’t like them - too loose and flimsy, too large to mix with my Hasbros, and looked boring compared to my Hasbros - outside of the decor, I thought the BCA figures just looked the same, no character like the different actions gave the Hasbros. There weren’t any more Jakks available around me, so I never had the chance to reassess my initial judgement; if they had been then I probably would have cracked and collected them in place of the Hasbros. Instead I discovered customising Hasbros, so I was buying loose figures every weekend at markets, etc to create maybe 100 or more Hasbro customs. At the same time I discovered eBay, and started collecting the Hasbros MOC. When Jakks finally became available here in 1999 I bought most of them, but to keep MOC in case they would be worth something later - they missed the chance to hook me in 1996; by 1999 I was all about custom Hasbros. I was playing with my customs up until I was 16, especially when my young cousins visited, but it was really for me. I enjoyed it. Then I left home to study abroad, and under pressure from my parents I stopped playing, customising and collecting MOC Hasbros. I wasn’t happy about it, but forced myself to “grow-up”. I only bought a few more MOC Hasbros over the next decade or so - I was done with figures. Then Benoit happened, and I was done with wrestling. Then Bret Hart returned in 2010, and I was interested again, but not as intensely. Then I saw the Retros were coming, and my inner child retook the controls and he’s been in charge since then But I’m probably done collecting new stuff now, save one or two special figures like Anvil. If/when the Retros return then I’ll be back, but as of now I’m done. Maybe the Legends series would’ve been good for me, but if they’re not coming to the UK then there’s no chance of that. So I now have a full loose and MOC Retro collection, a full loose Hasbro collection and only need a few more MOC Hasbros. In storage I have: a few Elites and other Mattels (10 total maybe?), those Jakks and Toybiz MOC figures bought in 1999, a load of loose Galoobs and all my Hasbro customs from 1997-2000. But I don’t talk about it to anyone else in real life - nobody needs to know, but at the same time I’m not afraid to deal with any bullcrap reactions - I had enough of that as a teen, when all the former WWF fans turned into pricks about wrestling, up until the Attitude Era when they all became fans again When I get my next house then I will put together my figures on display, including those currently in storage - I won’t be giving guided tours or anything, but anyone who does see it can say what they want about it; I’m way past caring now. tl/dr: refer back to my first post

Been a WWF/E fan since I first saw Wrestlemania 7 back in 1991 when I was 10 years old
Collected Hasbros.....skipped Jakks and then started collecting again a couple of years into the Mattel run, originally picking up a couple of figs for my little boy but got hooked myself
I was collecting pretty much everything released, but since poor distribution and the exclusive-only releases over the past couple of years killed the market for me in the UK I am sticking to figures from 1980s up to the RA era....with an odd sprinkling of current roster
I display them loose, dont play with them really but every now and again il get a few out to do some moves with them
My son collects too, mainly current figures

53 in March. And the simplest answer is the memories of my childhood. With wrestling figures it started out as the memories certain wrestling figures brought back of watching wrestling with my father. Everything else I collect such as Batman/DC, Marvel and Star Wars are for the memories of my childhood. And to end like marino13 said....GET OFF My LAWN!!!

I had a massive LJN collection as a kid which I started after watching WrestleMania 4. I was a huge Savage fan.
After LJNs, I started collecting Hasbro's, but lost interest after series 1 - I think just due to age, I was probably 10 and started to get interested in other things.
I stopped watching wrestling in 95, but the NWO, Sting and Goldberg brought me back in.
I had some toybiz figures I picked up around this time, Scott Steiner, Hogan, Nash, Hall, Luger, Sting, Hart, Goldberg.
I stopped watching wrestling in about 99. I was 18 and into partying, basketball and women. The WWF and WCW products were crap to me at the time.
Once I got my first office, I wanted to buy some nostalgic items for my office. I bought a Larry Bird figure, and Randy Savage (Legends). That Savage figure set me off, well if not Savage, it was seeing DiBiase HOF 3 - and thinking, I need the other guy from WrestleMania 4.
I have battled with plastic addiction, bought and collected full collections of Legends/flashbacks from 1980-1999 4 separate times.
I can't have these things in my house, I don't collect any more but I love looking at new figures and chatting with you guys
