34... got married when I was 26, and needed a hobby, just happened to run into the NWO Kevin Nash at target and was amazed how nice it looked from back when I would buy the little rubber non bendable figures. It hit me like “I can collect these.” But I wanted to look more into it, so I decided to wait. Got home and got to looking on ebay to see what figures they had out and seen the Nash I had just seen was like $100 on eBay and couldn’t believe that. So a few days later I’m in K-mart and I see the Papa Shango, I knew then I was gonna collevt, I got the Shango and decided to run back to target and pick up the Kevin Nash, got there and couldn’t find it, about a year later I buy it on eBay for like $70 . And here I am 8 years later I’m closing in on 300 legend figures, been a fun ride so far.

32 here. I had Hasbros and Galoobs as a kid, and then got into the BCA line around series 4, and spent hours upon hours playing with my figures through the Attitude Era. When the switch to TTL figures happened, I was approaching my teens, the AE was starting to lose steam, and within a couple years I had lost interest in wrestling entirely. Didn't touch a figure through my teens and most of my 20's. In 2014 I had nothing to do one night and decided to watch the Rumble. Shortly after I randomly came across a Razor Ramon basic while cutting through the toy isle at Target. From there I was hooked again just like when I was 6.
For me it brings back a lot of those memories from childhood. And I love depth of the line. 11 year old me couldn't have dreamed of having figures of Sting, Goldberg, Austin, Yoko, Lex Luger, and others all standing next to one another.
When I really think about it, sometimes my collections seem stupid. But it brings me joy, I'm in a place in life where I can comfortably afford it, and I really don't have anything else that I care to spend money on.

21 Million Years Young...
My Brother got Smackdown vs Raw 2007 for Christmas 2006. At the time i knew what 'Wrestling' was but knew nothing about it, i just saw this as another fighting game like Tekken. He wouldn't let me play it since we had that 'This is mine, you can't touch it' mentality, so one day when he was out of the house i went and played it. I was hooked straight away and soon enough, he must have grown out of Wrestling or didn't care if i played it, so i took over and it quickly became my new favourite thing.
Not too long after, i found out Wrestling figures existed and wanted them. From memory, my first figures were for my Birthday in April 2007, what i got: - A few of the Backlash Series 9 figures - RVD, Randy Orton, and The Undertaker. - Classic Superstars Series 12 Dean Malenko. - Micro Aggression Series 1 - Chris Benoit, Kane & The Undertaker.
Over the next few months my collection kept growing, with additions like: - Royal Rumble 2006 Series - Triple H, Shawn Michaels & RVD - Deluxe Aggression 6 - Edge, John Cena & King Booker - Ruthless Aggression 29 - Edge, Shawn Michaels - Micro Aggression 2 - whole set - Spring ring - Micro Aggression Hell in a Cell ring - ECW 1 - Sandman, Tommy Dreamer - Ring Rage 20.5 Rey Mysterio - Ruthless Aggression 20 Boogeyman - WrestleMania 23 2 Pack (Sslam 06) - Hogan/Orton, Sabu/Show
Ever since i started, i just never grew out of it... It was the main thing i had every day after School, every weekend and every Holiday break. Since i didn't hang out with friends outside of School, Wrestling, figures and games were all i really had to occupy myself. I always loved the feeling of going to a store and finding a new series, and the excitement of seeing new figures revealed at Cons and Fairs. Now that i'm older, the excitement of getting a new figure and playing with it has been replaced with the excitement of seeing a new figure revealed and admiring the art of it (Deco, scans, posing etc...)

I’m 34 and do what I want as a working tax paying American. I honestly don’t give a flying sh*t if anyone likes what I do or not. I dont hurt anybody nor do I care what they do, so I surely don’t care about any “stigma” that comes with collecting.
I collect to remember my childhood and have a physical display of it. I don’t care if someone thinks that it’s childish or not, because they don’t pay my bills or go to work for me to afford what I choose to buy.
My family is well taken care of and I’ve earned the right to buy whatever I choose to, because I put my family and priorities first 👍🏻

I just turned 46 on the 17th, and I love collecting and now seeing the AEW figures and I’m so curious to see what coming this weekend at the toy fair , but I’ve never grown up inside, I keep a lot MOC and a few I’ll display with and take pics but I’m seriously contemplating selling off my entire marvel legends collection to help fund the wrestling and I’m huge $$$ deep like I’m sure we all are but I just love seeing how realistic they have become, and articulation for me is the kicker cause you can pose in so many different possibilities, but I love collecting because It’s my getaway from life and it makes me happy ...

36....almost 37
My first wrestling figure was the Hasbro Big Boss Man (with Boss Man Slam!) and I've never looked back. I actually WISH I had been more committed to Hasbros back in the day because I'd have had way more than I do. I had taken a little hiatus from buying WWF merch, was still watching and following along.
Then I came across BCA Series 2 Ultimate Warrior....and everything picked up right from there
I went right along through BCA's, and in to TTLs, when RA's came out I wasn't getting as much, but then Classics hit and changed my life forever. I've been going as strong with this hobby as I've ever been since about 2007...when I joined this board.

30. Can’t really pinpoint as to why I started collecting. I had maybe 5 figures over the years just because I thought some specific ones were cool, especially Defining Moments. Never followed anything related to figures. For whatever reason in 2017 I bought a couple more figures, and then all of sudden my friends and I were in the game. Just kinda happened.

40. Promised myself I woudnt get into Mattel's, and was keeping myself pretty much aeay until Best of 2010 line showed up in Amazon giving me the chance to get what I missed. Then I got into Legends, DM, EG and the rest is history. Then lost some knterest around 2017 and now those Ultimates, high tech scans and interchangeable hands sparked my interest again, but now Im focused in characters I like, not buying everything that is out.
Why I buy? To support the sport and those larger than life characters that gave me hours of entertainment when I needed it. Sometimes putting their bodu in the line to accomplish so. Yes, they sometimes make millions of dollars but they also sacrifice their personal life in order to bring a good show.
I might not make millions of dollars, but I dont sacrifice my life they way they sometimes do. This is a sort of tribute to them.

It's crazy to think I've been on these boards since I was 17. That hurts my brain.

I turn 16 next a week from Sunday. I've been watching wrestling since I was 2 years old. My dad got me some wrestling figures shortly after I started watching, I never stopped. I got bullied for my love of wrestling and wrestling figures all throughout school. I got so much crap for having a passion, people are dumb. But here I am almost an adult and my bedroom is still covered in figures and I'm gonna start training again this year. One of my biggest goals in life is to get my own WWE Elite figure I can beat the crap out of.😂

42. Looks like Im the oldest so far. lol Ive been collecting since the LJN days and still have all of my figures from back in the day. Took a break during the Jakks days for a little but came back when Mattel took over. I have roughly well over 1,000 wrestling figures and probably another 1000 Gi Joe, He Man, comic, etc. I don't play with any of them but I love collecting and not stopping anytime soon. You are an OG and you got my respect. XD

But like 2 weeks later it dropped off completely and wrestling was "gay" or whatever kids used to say about it at the time. I stuck with it as well, so good on your for keeping on with it - only advice I can give is that as soon as you hit college nobody gives a flying fudge what you're into really, as long as you're a cool person!

I’m 18, I started collecting when I was 5. I always bought figures simply to play with, didn’t get into heavily displaying until I was probably 13 or 14. I always was enameled with collecting the rarest figures though, even from a very young age. I unfortunately can’t remember my first figure, but I did start collecting when Jakks still had the WWE label. I used to collect pretty much everything from Ruthless Aggression, Deluxe Aggression, Classic Superstars, to Micro Aggresssions. Then when Mattel took over I used to collect both basics and elites but for the majority of probably the last 5 years I’ve been strictly elite. I now make customs all the time for myself and customers and have been for a couple years and have one cool ass display in my room, so it’s crazy how much we can evolve in Action Figure collecting lol

A guy who knows wreslting's past at that age is rare. Great set up.

25 this year. Loved wrestling since as long as I can remember and had a huge amount of BCA and TTL toys as a kid. Loved the TTL stage that would play the wrestlers themes and thought that was the coolest thing. Kept playing with figures and getting play sets throughout the rest of the attitude and RA era, my favorite being the chamber that came with HBK and Triple H. Even then I built a pretty decent collection of CS. But around 2009-10 I really got out of wrestling and my collection downsized to just my favorite Classic Superstars. Got back into wrestling in 2012 and started to rebuild my CS collection. When Mattel got the license I thought it was a great time to focus on getting all the Classics I wanted, but then E19 came with that HBK and my Jakks days were done. I got a DM Bret soon after that Shawn Michaels and I was hooked.

I'm almost 20 and am still collecting a bunch of stuff. Marvel Legends, Elites, Lego, Funko Pop. I started collecting when I was 9. I don't let other people get under my skin because collecting makes me happy.

HandsomeHollywood Nah brother not patronizing at all! I’ve always had a love for older wrestling, such cool personalities and all that fun crap. I personally find it much more appealing than most of the current day product. But I appreciate the kind words dude
