I hope it’s fake news but I read that Sony terminated the deal with Marvel for the Spider-Man deal

I mean, there's no real source for this since the story is "developing", and it could just be IGN and Deadline trying to get clicks, but I could totally see Sony hugging this up.
If they pull a bitch move on this, I will absolutely refuse to watch any Sony produced Spider-Man movies. Spider-Verse 2 be damned.
The biggest gut punch out of all of that would mean no Spidey/Deadpool crossover movie too.
Time for Disney to just by them out and axe the Sony brass if this comes to fruition.

Sony just screwed everything up for the MCU, Spider-Man was suppose to be the main hero. I think most fans are going to refuse to watch any Sony Spider-Man film. Well at least now Marvel will focus more on X-Men and F4.

I dont do this often, but I hope everyone that has anything to do with Sony has diarrhea every day forever.
So now we just have to pretend we didnt watch spiderman 5 times now, like he never existed.

They could cast me to play Peter Parker and I still wouldn't go see their new Spider Man movie. **** Sony and their high horse.

So Sony didn't want to split profits 50/50 with Marvel. They wanted more. Well now they can enjoy 100% of nothing. Do they not like money at Sony? Bunch of morons.

I think they will eventually come to a deal. This is a pissing contest and posturing. There’s too much at stake for both parties.

So 2 solid Spiderman movies get made, we think there's a future in the franchise and now its crapthe bed.
When did Warner Brothers get the Spiderman franchise again?

Food for thought:
Let’s say they split FFH 50/50.... Sony still basically grosses around what Homecoming did overall.

I think that they have to come to an agreement. I don’t think that Sony could afford to reboot again, which it seems like they would have to if this comes to fruition. It puts Marvel in a terrible place creatively as well because you’d either have to kill Spider-Man off or pretend as if he never existed. They definitely seemed like they were building Spider-Man as their top character.
At the end of the day Sony hardly has any creative clout. They failed at reboot attempts, Venom was awful, into the spiderverse was good but wasn’t a huge blockbuster hit. They need Marvel more than they need them.

Venom & its incredibly puzzling (to me) success has given Sony all kinds of idiot ideas about themselves and their ability to make a "good" Spider verse movie. It has likely given some cretin within Sony(looking to make a name for himself) the stones to get in Disney's face about something small & here we are.
I feel really sorry for Tom Holland if all this goes to sh*t.
For the life of me I cant figure out why Sony has been so difficult about this....sit back, let MS do ALL THE WORK and just watch the $$$$ roll the f*ck in. Is it me or is the very definition of Simple Money 101? they get to distribute it as a Sony movie....WTF else do they want.

Spider-Man will absolutely be in the MCU. This is just Sony wanting a bigger payday. Calm down folks.

It's looking like no agreement will be made. And reports had it wrong on the percentage of profits Disney wanted, it was 30/70, with Sony getting 70%.

Disney deserves some compensation for their work. But Sony gets a little bit of steam and it goes directly to their head. Now they're going to continue to put out subpar movies and the MCU has to pretend Spider Man never existed. Bulls**t.
