Youtube Duration?

Hi all so i'm planning on doing a youtube pic fed. I wanted to ask all of you that have had experience or are currently filming a youtube fed a question 
about the time length?

How long do you think a normal show should be?

I don't want it to be too long or too quick, I want to find something in between that's suitable.

I thought maybe 20 or 25 minutes but i am not to sure.

Personally, I don't like stuff that's only 5 minutes long, but I get bored after 15, so I think something in that range would be a good start.

15 minutes would be a good start, Only problem is how i would fit in the matches and any segments.

It's gotten out of hand. You were a badass if it was like 7-10 minutes in 2010. Then, it was like 15 minute shows in 2011. Then, THNW Man Up was like 29 minutes. And were getting Hour and 15 minute shows. Anyone who is a adult or even older teenager for that matter, that's big time commitment. 15 minutes is ideal.

For a 'weekly' TV style show, 10-15 minutes would be ideal. Maybe 2-3 short matches and fill the rest out with segments.
I don't try to aim for a particular length on my shows, I just keep filming because I'm having fun with it and they end up around an hour long haha.

Thanks, I think i might go with about 20 minutes for a regular show.

With event s they could be maybe 40 minutes longer.

I really like the idea of a youtube fed, because you feel like your planning a show.

You know like timing the matches, trying to fit the segments in and any other stuff!

Personally your better just to see what works for you. Get your figures and see how much time you have to dedicate to your show. Dont put too much pressure on yourself to do an hour long show, cause it is very time consuming. I kind of have a 2 match an episode formula with maybe a segment in there as well. And a 4 match show for big events. First work out your main storyline and build your show around that, if it ends up being 8 minutes long that's ok, if its 27 minutes long, that's ok too. Their is no right or wrong way. Just make your show your own and have fun doing it.

Personally if you can keep in the 10-20 minute mark you probably have a better chance of keeping people interested.

Once i have figured out what to do about what the main one will be then it may  help me decide how long the regular show format will be.

I am liking the idea of a two match show for the time being while i start out.

I could make the matches longer for events!

I follow a bunch of pic feds and find that quality matters the most. I can easily watch an hour or longer show if it is good quality: crisp well posed images, a setup that resembles an arena and not a ring on the floor in the basement, good stories, and something more than just a generic music soundtrack - Ie.: give me some commentary, entrance themes, etc. On the other hand, something of lower quality I can't watch for even ten minutes before I get bored and tune out.

My advice would be to worry about making a fun watchable fed and let the length be whatever it ends up being. If its good, people will watch.

Also this. Listening to commentary in picfeds can be more fun. Just remember to have personality in them.

i’ve never attempted to do the youtube format, but i would probably go 10-20 min for weekly/tv/hype shows, then 20-30 for bigger events/ppvs.

Yeah that's what i gonna go with. 

About 20 or so minutes for shows, then perhaps 30 or more for events!

I would say not too many matches or segments and try and make each match at least three minutes each.
