I’m cool with a Brother Love retro. I was looking to customize one but didn’t for two reasons 1) his Elite fig is expensive and 2) I haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate painting light colors.

Great to see Brother Love. The Book looks insanely big, but whatever. I agree with everyone that a Backlund would be so cool -- esp. if they had the money for a robe.

Yea it’s a bit of an odd time period if that’s what it ends up as. Honky in ring gear, Rick Rude, even Harley Race could work but I’m assuming they’d still need a big name babyface in there. A new sculpt for Warrior? Maybe but I doubt it. Hogan just had 2 releases. Jake the snake Roberts?

Brother Love is a nice surprise. Hopefully the others in the set are from the same era - it would be great to see more revealed this weekend, but I’m a little doubtful. Do ringside ever have reveals over mania week? Good call, that peeks my interest in the set if that may hopefully be the case. Not interested in Brother Love since I'm not really into non-wrestlers, but if that means possibly a heel Jake, 92 Warrior, or updated Rick Rude. |

The history of the winged title belt, every wrestler who has held this has a figure from hasbro or mattel bar one man! Bob Backlund! I really want a Backlund in blue trunks, would spice up an otherwise kinda bland figure if they included it with him. Guess they could be including it with Shawn, but he didn't win the title for more than a year after Rumble 95. Fingers crossed to see some more stuff by the end of the weekend, hopefully something from RSC too. |

Happy to see the Brother Love retro. I am hoping WWE and Mattel get us any McMahon-centric characters as soon as they can with the knowledge those close to Vince McMahon may become collateral damage. These sets usually have a theme and so Brother Love bodes well for my favourite era in WWF history. Fingers still crossed for Queen Sherri, Elizabeth and Bobby Heenan. I admittedly do not like the Epic Heenan--it looks kind of creepy?

Brother Love rules but they’ve got to do something about that full size maglite flashlight he comes with. It looked hideous with the elite so of course they give it to us again.
I’m really curious about that belt. Who comes with it? If it’s someone who would be in the Brother Love set, it’s got to be Hogan or Savage and it seems like we still can’t have Savage. I know we just got a Hogan, but I’ll take another. One can never have enough Hogans. Give me a Hogan with the slam like his first hasbro. The other two figures can be the Million Dollar Man and Virgil.

Was just thinking, Zeus is under a deal and would make perfect sense if paired with guys from the Brother Love era. He was definitely someone that would have got a Hasbro if he was around a little longer.

I think it fits that 80s talk show vibe with the Elite, even though in real life he didn't use one like that, but I'm not liking the practice of adding Elite scaled accessories to Retro figures. Seems a lot of customizers do the same thing and it feels a bit lazy. Mattel really should be above that kind of thing. Then again, it is just a prototype and there is plenty of time to either correct it or just omit it. |

One of my first thoughts (like others have said) was maybe Brother Love, Zeus, Macho & Sherri - but not sure they’d do an all heel set. I wouldn’t be surprised if they do her mania 6 ring attire as it wouldn’t require a new mould. I would imagine it would have to be her wrestling attire to work with the mold they already have. WM6 attire seems most likely, unless they do an earlier version of her from 1987 or 1988. They could add a soft goods dress to do the manager look as well. |

Thought Brother Love was an awesome reveal yesterday.
With the Retro line not necessarily a financial whale for the Mattel WWE team, it’s awesome that they’ve still:
1. Found a way for the line to roll on.
2. Went the extra mile to rerelease the ring and now a belt.
Even having a display up at WrestleMania is great to see. As long as we can keep charging ahead with 12-16 figures a year and a little wrinkle every now and then I’ll be happy.

Sherri could have a soft rubber overlay for a skirt. They can do enough deco on the upper body to make it stand out from the other female Retros.
Technically, they kind of did this with Chyna. Her collar was a separate piece over the basic body.

I agree, a skirt or something (similar to the Roddy Piper kilt) could work on top of the female body and it would look different enough to separate the body from others, especially if the skirt is not removable like Piper's is, so it forms a permanent part of the figure
I don't think anyone needs a Sherri as a "wrestler", she was more of a valet
that said..... if they painted her like SummerSlam 92, they could just add rubber pieces to the arms and leave it at that, plus it would go well with the original Hasbro Shawn
