Can someone explain the NBA playoff seeding to me? I don't see how the Bulls are a #5 when they have a better record than 2-3 other teams in the East.

Eastern Conference 1) Detroit Pistons vs 8) Orlando Magic in 5, DDDDDDetriot's all about the D and Orlando doesnt have nearly a good enuff offense to break down Detriot's D. Plus Sheed, McDyess, and Webber will be more than enough to cancel out Dwight Howard. 5) Chicago Bulls vs 4) Miami Heat in 7, Tough call here but gotta give the benefit of the doubt to the Heat as they are the defending champs. This series is definately a tossup. 3) Toronto Raptors vs 6) New Jersey Nets in 6, Not much playoff experience for the Raps, but their bench is much deeper than the Nets. The Raps have a good core of European players who are experienced overseas so the experience factor will be alright. And I live in Canada so go Raps. 2) Cleveland Cavaliers vs 7) Washington Wizards in 5, Wiz lost all their star power, gonna take a magical healing of Butler and Hibatchi to have a chance in this one.
Western Conference 1) Dallas Mavericks vs 8) Golden State Warriors in 5, going to be a extremely fast paced series. Warriors are fun to watch, but the Mavs are just too damn good this year. 5) Houston Rockets vs 4) Utah Jazz in 6, dont follow these two teams very closely just making a guess off previous experience. 3) San Antonio Spurs vs 6) Denver Nuggets in 5, Iverson/ Melo combo is overhyped and will be a failed experiment here in the playoffs where the Spurs bring it everyear. 2) Phoenix Suns vs 7) Los Angeles Lakers in 6, I've loved the Lakers for too long to predict agaisnt them now.

I'm not gonna lie, I am not going to be paying that much attention to the playoffs with the draft coming up and baseball, I wont watch until the finals probably.

Better yet, why do the Bulls, a 5 seed, have home court advantage over a 4 seed? Stupid NBA.

The three division winners in each conference are guaranteed a seeding in the top 4. However, the team with the better record gets home court advantage each series, somewhat rendering seeding meaningless.
The NBA Playoffs are a mess in more ways than one, and they never seem to be able to get it right.

Did anyone catch the Suns/Lakers game?
What a pathetic display by the Lakers in the last quarter. By all rights they should've taken that game, no excuse for the shoddy play

I'm watching the Nuggets vs. Spurs game now and I'm really hoping Nuggets can win; AI and Melo look amazing out their, 48 points combined as of right now. ..

If the Game 1s are any indication, Warriors/Mavs, Heat/Bulls and Spurs/Nuggets are going to be awesome.
Lakers and Wizards are dead in the water, and Orlando is close.
Man, Don Nelson outcoached the crapout of Avery Johnson. Totally idiotic gameplan for the Mavs.

I was in Massachusetts for the weekend... which meant I saw a whole lotta Sox vs. Yanks, and not much else.
I missed all the games on Sunday, including Spurs/Nuggets and Mavs/Warriors... which sucks, considering both games seemed like awesome upsets. Luckily, I was able to catch the Bulls/Heat game (though, both squads seemed to be playing down to the other instead of up...).

I can see the Suns winning the whole series fairly easy this time. Maybe Lakers will win one game, but thats about it.

Well, that's about as dominating a second half as you can have.
This series is not over by any stretch, but you can't ask for much more than what the Bulls got in those first two games.
p.s. suck it shaq
