Combining Elites, Basics and BAFs - Creating Vince McMahon

I purchased an additional Mr. McMahon with the hopes of creating a jovial 1980s Vince. 

I was planning on using an extra Mean Gene torso with the red coat and arms as the upper body. 
This was when I realised that the Mean Gene torso will not connect to Vince's lower body (crotch/waist peg)

I know my local TRU has a JBL suited basic for sale. So I was thinking of using that torso.

So, my questions are:
 - Can Mean Gene arms connect to a basic torso?
 - Can a basic torso connect to an elite crotch/waist peg?

Any help is gladly appreciated. Even suggestions for parts. I would put the Vince head right on a Mean Gene figure, but the legs are far too short

I don't even bother figuring out what waists are compatible anymore. I use LEGO pieces to connect any two upper and lowers together. You can try the turntables, or Technic pins/connectors, lots of stuff that can work.

Use the Big Johnny red jacket & torso (its a darker red more accurate) with Booker T BAF lower body (navy pants).

I just looked at prices for both on eBay. It would cost over $100 Canadian to get both figures shipped. I'm going to look for other parts to make this

You dont have to get the whole figures. Just the jacket/arms and pants.
