Thank you Phillies for taking away most of the nonsense on Sportscenter tonight and focusing on you guys, now that sweep, not to discount the Yankees...that sweep really puts a hurten on the NL East.
Very impressive, especially if they can get Hole Camels back soon

Lorenzo...can't you just enjoy THIS series before immediately worrying about the next one? Neither of these teams are even going to care about this in the future. Youkilis didn't even care about the pitch...it's not like he flipped out like when Proctor hit him. No, I can never enjoy anything. Baseball is stressful, it makes me miserable and I'm like a Japanese baseball player, I never laugh, I never smile, I'm never happy and I'm angry all season long and I'm not happy until we win the World Series....and if we don't then I'm pissed all winter too. I've been pissed for 7 years. All I care about is winning, and sure, the Yankees just swept the Red Sox. BIG DEAL, if you lose tomorrow and the Red Sox win, this series is meaningless.
I'll Never be happy until the Yankees go 162-0, and then win 11 straight in the Playoffs to win the World Series....other than that, every loss just aggravates me. Every run, every batter that reaches base against us just infuriates me and I can't take it. Statements like that are the reason we, as Yankee fans, have to suffer though pitching rotations with Jaret Wright, Carl Pavano, Randy Johnson, Mike Mussina and guys in the field. Statements like that are the reason why Dioneer Navaro is playin in TB when we have a 37yo catcher who is winding down (although stats dont show it) and we DONT have anyone to replace him because we traded him off for "all star" pitching so we could win "now". i like ya Lorenzo, probably more then i do Ralpho (no offense) but you have to realize the reason you've been suffering for 7 years is because of fans like yourself who want to "win now" I as a die hard yankees fan want to win now but not at the cost of having to suffer for 80 something years. If we miss the playoffs then we miss the playoffs, but if we resign who we need to resign (Posada, Arod and Rivera) then few teams will be able to touch us next year with our starting rotation. This year by far has been one of the best learning years for the Yankees, they have finally realized that trading 2 19yo pitchers for a middle age outfielder doesnt win you championships. Cashman has protected the farm system and its paying off. We get younger and we're practically untouchable, yet at the begining of the year we were old and dropped 14 games behind

Dioner Navarro is batting .200 for Tampa Bay and the Yankos signed some 16 yr old from Puerto Rico or Venezuela to be their catcher of the future.

And knock him all you want, Randy Johnson also won 34 in 2 years. Yes, Mussina has been a disaster this season, and yes Johnson had a high ERA last season... but bottom line is, those two guys came here... pitched and won games. I cannot disagree with Wright, or Pavano, or Igawa... And Dioner Navarro is terrible... so I'm not exactly heartbroken over that loss.

I think I'll be alright The Yankees are not practically untouchable, did you already forget the Tigers series Senor fickle Yankee fan? LOL im no where near Music City, in fact i HATE nashville. Also no i didnt forget the Tiger series, I didnt say we were completely untouchable. just practically. Lets look from the All Star break. NY Is 33-15. Now AT LEAST 3 of those losses we know are from Mussina. I love moose as much as the next guy, he has done a lot of things for us since 2001. HOWEVER Mussina is the 4th highest paid player on the yankees, everytime his contract is up we feel that we have to resign him. So he won over 100 games for us. Congrats, its not what you have done for me, its what you CAN and WILL do for me. The point wasnt to really to bash Mussina and Johnson for winning 100+ games, it was to point out the Yankees need to stop trying to "win now" and sign aging FAs. I mean do i need to bring up Kevin Brown? He went 10-0 at one point with the Yankees, then flubbed and wen like 2-9 with a 9.something ERA. And Ralpho its not that i do or dont like you, and im sure you dont care and i really dont care either, but there was an article on ESPN.com written by a Red Sox fan and really the second i read it i thought about you. Heres the link to the page. sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=caple/070829&sportCat=mlbAlso let it be known that i dont like most Yankees fans. I think their "loyalty" to their team is a disgrace. How A-rod his 50 HRs in a year then goes 0-4 in a game and they boo him out of the stadium and then blame it on "being use to being the best" which is BS. Its been 4 years since a WS and 7 since we won one. Have a little class, 80% of Yankees fans DONT have that

Exactly Jesus Montero is only 17, Hes still got MANY years to go, that and the Yankees dont even know if they want him as a Catcher or a First basemen yet. True Navarro might be hitting .200, but what was our other options the past few years? Wil Neives? Sal Fassano?

Sal Fasano is the best catcher to ever play for the Yankees.
Quote me on that. Never say another bad word about Sal.

The majority of those 16 year old kids they sign out of the Domenican never make it because they find out they are 22 or some crap

I don't see how Yankees fans can complain so frequently about futility. As a fan of the Cubs for, I don't know, the past 13 years or so of my life, I can tell you all that you're full of crap.
Cubs fans may have it the worst of any team, save for those who haven't won a World Series, and have been around long enough to warrant one (Astros). Fans of teams like Tampa Bay can't complain, because they've been around for a measly 10 years. Pirates fans, yeah, they've sucked ass for the last decade and a half, but they were pretty good for a while before that. The Indians have it rough too, but the Cubs are going on 100 years with no championship. The Yankees have won like, 20 championships in that time period. So cry me a river.
